We had problems with our heating and subsequently hot water for a 3 week period over Christmas and New Year. Our usual plumber's couldn't seem to find the problem and eventually recommended a power flush for £600. I then contacted Red Van who were very helpful and got someone to me within 2 days. Daniel called 20 minutes before the appointment time and duly arrived. I explained the issue and left it to him. 25 minutes later, he had sorted the problem! He explained what he'd done and gave some advice for future maintenance. Excellent customer service. The radiators were getting warm already and the boiler (only 4 years old) was as quiet as when it was new. Quite frankly, I was amazed. Over the next few hours, the radiators were kicking out so much heat we had to turn them down and the hot water was scalding. I can't recommend Red Van highly enough. They've won a customer for my future boiler needs. Thank you 👍
All my dealing with this company were dealt with very professional and in a timely manner. I always have been give a quotation and the actual coast were always with in the quotation. Everyone that came to my house to work was professional and worked to a high standard. They left my house clean and the workmanship was very good.
Shower not producing hot water this morning so posted my job but then remembered The Red Van Plumbers and got booked in for the same day. Picked up a brand new shower and arrived home to find James waiting for me. James got straight to it and finished installing the new shower 20 minutes later. James was super efficient and knew his stuff. I was so impressed at how quickly he finished the job. No dawdling and no messing me about. James is a real asset to the Red Van Plumbers so hold onto him guys. I have now found a plumber I can trust.
Thank you to the Red Van Plumbers team. They installed my father boiler promptly as he was 85, I really appreciated that. I had a few problems after the boiler install, however the team were committed to fixing the problem and sent out plumbers until the issues were repaired (thanks to Steve, Ian and Dan). The back office always took my calls and dealt with my queries politely and efficiently (Thanks Tina/Nicky) too. My father had some bad experiences with British Gas so we are glad we went with Red Van Plumbers, there was always someone we could speak to either on phone or email. Great team, great work.
My wife and I have used Red Van Plumbers quite a lot over the years and have always been impressed with the work they have done for us. Had a leak through our living room ceiling recently and called them out. James came and was polite and professional throughout. He found the leak and knew exactly how to fix it. Leak was repaired same day thanks to James. Can’t fault the service at all and would always recommend them to family and friends.

Excellent Service From The Red Van Plumbers
I have used Heppelthwaite The Red Van Plumbers for years and have always found them to be excellent. Over the years they have installed and serviced our boiler, fitted a new bathroom and fixed some general plumbing, such as fixing a leaky tap and replacing a shower valve. From booking to the work being done, I've been very impressed. I highly recommend The Red Van Plumbers.
After over ten years since we last used…
After over ten years since we last used Hepplethwaite (now known as Red Van Plumbers) we wondered if the service would be at the same level as it was the last two times we used them. We were overjoyed to discover that they are still fantastic. Sue and Sarah, who handled my call, were incredibly helpful and professional. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble and they were reassuring in helping. This time we had a burst pipe behind our garage wall, which, being a townhouse, was underneath the flooring in our kitchen. It was a main that had, over time, had a the point of a screw from our flooring, wearing into the main supply pipe. Because the hole in the pipe was behind a joist the plumber had to to go through a kitchen tile, and the plyboard panel underneath, to get to the damage. The amount of disruption was minimal and the plumber was extremely considerate in how he affected the repair. As a result of the work carried out some limescale became lodged further up the main supply which was blocking the feed to the tank and stopping it filling. Sarah arranged for an engineer to come and sort that out...which I was very surprised to find happening extremely quickly. I can't speak too highly of the company and it's people. Would not hesitate, for a second, to recommend. Bravo Red Van Plumbers!
Charging for call outs & poor service
I was using them for a few years, but no more - first few years delivered good service, but recent services missed key issues in our hot water cylinder, which resulted in a repair being needed. They sent a guy to diagnose it, came back with a huge quote which was beaten by all the guys I had round on checkatrade, and then charged me for the diagnosis when I didn't go with them.
