Greg and his team were prompt, professional and proficient - with the actual install taking just a couple of days from start to finish. The team installed 17 panels and 30kw of batteries into our 3 phase system. The panel specification was adjusted to ensure that we were maximising available roof space, while the modular battery install enabled us store just the right amount of solar power during the summer months, while optimising for off peak charging during the winter, to run the air source heat pumps. From proposal to installation, the team took the time to outline and explain the various nuances of the system and advised us in an impartial way, to ensure that the end result was a system that met our needs. Thoroughly recommended.

This whole process went extremely well; from first internet enquiry, to final handover the NGRE team were nothing but supportive and helpful. Indeed, they were able to accommodate several changes to our installation (added car charger and extra panels) without interrupting the workflow. The scaffolding arrived when stated and went up quickly. The next day the installation team worked swiftly and efficiently to ensure that our Solar PV panels, Tesla Powerwall 3, Tesla Gateway and Hypervolt car charger were all installed within the timeframe quoted (and very neatly I might add). In fact, it was as a result of a casual conversation between them, and myself, that we realised extra panels, which we had wondered about, could be installed whilst we still had the scaffolding, and at minimal cost). Sam also identified a potential problem on our consumer unit and added the fitting of a new compnent, for our safety, without slowing the whole process. They also worked very patiently, with a couple of technically challenged OAPs, to ensure that we had all the app's installed correctly, and up and working, on our phones before they left us. Finally, the boss (who did the initial survey after our enquiry) turned up on his day off to check that all had been completed correctly; and we received the most comprehensive e-package for the handover! I should like potential clients to note several things about this review. We have never interacted with anyone at NGRE before making our initial enquiry. NGRE have not (unlike so many companys) tried to brief us on what we should say, particularly as a minimum (you know who you are who require a `9' rating as standard!). But also, we did not competitively tender this job. We knew (pretty much) what we wanted, and we wanted a local firm to do the work; as soon as we made contact with NGRE we felt that we could trust them as a company (they immediately explained the OVO situation) and so we were not at all stressed about this quite comprehensive job. This may seem a rather long review, but I am so encouraged to find good customer service, that I wanted to make it reflect our experience. Oh, and the installation works a treat, even during these dark months; and with a pigeon `strike' (it leaves a very pretty pigeon-shaped image) already and fireworks night it seems robust too.

Our solar + battery system was competitively priced and installed professionally. The staff had a positive attitude despite having to be flexible around the weather and other issues. I felt I could only give four stars due to a few gripes. We were told to expect installation in about 6 weeks but it ended up being installed nearly 9 months later for a mixture of reasons. We did not receive any direct update from the company for several months. Supply chain issues were blamed, which is fair enough. However, it turned out that the company had not applied for permission from our network operator during the first few months, and this process (which was necessary for us but won't be for everyone) takes three months. Communication overall was quite poor once the booking was made, with me having to chase a lot. On the plus side, due to the delays the company agreed to install the 2nd generation equipment (which was by then available) for the same agreed price. This had advantages over the first generation, and we agreed to have a further delay in order to facilitate this. Overall, the company are clearly very competent at installing these systems, but their administration and communication could have been smoother.

Good installers with excellent communication

I selected NGRE Ltd from three other suppliers in the Oxfordshire area. Overall communication was good for the quotation and up to the installation. The panels and electrical connection was all completed in a day, the system was up and running when completed. A few days delay to finish off the work the following week - but no major issues. It was good to have a detailed explanation of the workings from both the Sales manager and the company Owner. I am happy to recommend NGRE on the basis of the installation.

Very happy with the service from NGRE (Greg) throughout. 1) Best sales/consultation service - discussed pros/cons/payback and best providers of equipment. Greg was very knowledgeable/honest where he didn't know/helped me check qualifying criteria with energy provider. 2) Through equipment delays, kept me informed. Secured latest and best panels and battery to reduce cost and get a higher spec. 3) Very efficient installation - installed 20panels in a day. 4) All the info on my iPad and phone as promised. 5) Follow up service on proving forms/help with registration. Simply excellent. Thank you.
