Tile Energy installed panels the week before Christmas. The installation process was fraught with issues. Whilst in the loft they caused a water leak by, I assume, stepping on pipe work. Luckily we spotted this the next day, so the bedroom ceiling only needed redecorating. They also burnt a hole in the lounge carpet, that needed a repair, and cracked an outside brick whilst drilling through the wall for the internet connection cable. To top it all off one of the panels was faulty , and this took 5 visits to fix, which each time meant more engineers climbing all over the roof. During the 6 weeks it took to resolve the issues, the communication from Tile Energy was poor, with little empathy for the upset caused. The actual installation team were ok to communicate with, but Tile certainly lack customer management. I realise the issues were compounded by the Christmas break, but being left not knowing when and how things were to be resolved was very poor. At the end the owner offered a measly amount of compensation (£60) for all the damage, worry and time we spent resolving these issues. Tile Energy did cover the cost of all repairs, but did not appreciate the amount of effort and work from our side. A real shame to have to give a bad review, as we chose Tile Energy because they are a local firm who came highly recommended.

After extensive research, we decided to go with Tile Energy — and we’re very pleased to say it was absolutely the right decision! From the moment Andy arrived to carry out the initial survey, we’ve been impressed. Everyone who has been on site throughout the process has been professional, friendly, and hardworking. They are all a real credit to the company. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Tile Energy to anyone considering their services.

We were recommended Tile Energy by family who used them and we have heard their aftercare is good. They also have a high number of positive reviews online. We explained what we planned to use the solar for and due to the positioning of our house, we found we would benefit from panels on the front and back. We also had a powerwall installed. We have found Tile to be very professional and the communication has been very good. The fitters were great, they didn't do anything without checking with us first in terms of placement and explained how to use it all and helped set it up with the apps. They tidied up and completed the work in a timely manner. We did have an issue with some damage caused by the scaffolders, but Tile resolved the issue for us very quickly and we are very grateful that Tile has sorted it for us. Thanks Tile Energy, we are very pleased with our system and we are looking forward to seeing the results in the summer. We are already seeing very positive results even in these short winter days and we have also benefitted during a recent powercut in the area. We now have an EV and its really convenient being able to charge from home.

I'm local to Swindon and so was looking for a local firm to advise on, and ultimately install, a solar & battery system for my home. Over the course of the past few months I've dealt with several people at Tile Energy, from project co-ordinators, to surveyors, to the installers themselves. All of our communication has been stellar. Unfortunately for us, our DNO (SSEN), couldn't approve our initial requested design which meant we had to alter the plans. But Tile were more than happy to come back out and run through the options and various implications face to face to ensure we were comfortable that we could make a well informed decision on how best to proceed. The system was installed this week and the chaps on site were all very friendly and helpful when I inevitably kept interrupting to ask questions. The work carried out was also very thoughtful and tidy, seeking out the best options for where to route cables etc. Overall I'm very happy with our choice of installer and am looking forward to generating plenty of free energy from the sun once winter is out of the way.

Tileenergy have been fantastic and thorough throughout - we're now 6 months down the line (since installation) and we're very pleased with their support service when issues arise. We had a different solar solution and company for our last house and they were very unresponsive once they had been paid - so we were extra careful this time and so far have lived up to what they promised. There have been some issues with solaredge since a recent update, which I notice on the facebook community others have had difficulty getting help with from their supplier but Tileenergy have been very helpful providing workarounds whilst solaredge work it out.

A very professional company

A very professional company, engineers were all friendly and completed the installation in superfast time. I am very pleased with the price I paid and the quality of work done. I would definitely recommend this company for solar panel installation.

Fully recommend

I had been shopping around for Solar panels & Battery. Every company gave me the hard sell with repeated follow-up calls. Craig came to the house to talk about my requirements and to work out a quote. I explained that I am in the early stages and wouldn't be able to proceed until the new year. He respected that, he answered any and all questions quickly that I had in the following couple of months. As I live a few miles away from their shop, I even went to see the equipment they install personally and was made very welcome by the staff. When I was in a position to move forward, I simple sent Craig an email and got the ball rolling. We arranged a day that would be best for me. The equipment was delivered on time. With the scaffolding up, the fitters made quick work of installing the panels and battery. They explained in depth about how to operate it should I need to. The fitters were great guys, worked quickly and politely, and made a minimal amount of disruption while I worked from home. I would recommend this company to anyone considering solar panels, Battery or EV charging point. They supplied great equipment and in fact the same equipment as a more expensive quote. It was actually better equipment than I was initially quoted for and kept at the same price. Also, a local company rather than some faceless multinational. In today's economy, I feel it's important to support local businesses.

Had problems, but fixed them all without aggravating

It took almost a year to install solar panels vs 6 months against originally anticipated. However, they told me a few times that there were no Tesla PowerWalls and panels, offered me a different battery to finish installation faster and replied on all my calls Now panels are installed and I am happy to see how I currently cover 100% of my consumption in most of the days

I am pleased with Tile Energy ...

I am pleased with Tile Energy who installed my solar panels before Christmas. The CEO and office staff were very helpful, informative and extremely patient in answering my questions. They were also very efficient in getting the job done and paperwork through before the Christmas shut down. The only glitch so far (hence 4* rather than 5) is that the installed pattern of panels does not match the survey. The installer was critical of the survey and used his professional judgement to change the layout. So far, the two panels repositioned behind the chimney are producing significantly less energy than the others. Apart from this, all seems to be working well, with detailed data on the phone app.
