We came across this company at the Ideal Home Exhibition, and were impressed by the friendliness, expertise, and candour of their representative. We booked an appointment for first contact, and their reps kindly arranged the survey visit between holidays. The survey was thorough, friendly, and informative. The surveyor clearly likes his job, doing well at his job and was very positive about the company. We were due to go away again in 10 days from the survey, but the company arranged for installation in 4 days time, which was yesterday. A large team of experts, scaffolders, electricians and roofers arrived at 0700, and had completed the installation by early afternoon.. The system and it's use were very thoroughly explained and all questions were answered very well.. We are now producing way more electricity than we are using.. I only wish that we had made this investment sooner. Special efforts were made by the company to get the scaffolding removed as we have a garden party arranged for the weekend.. I cannot recommend this command highly enough.. thank you..
My Home Solar reached me via a telemarketing call. Their salesperson walked through the system, then pushed for a commitment while dropping the price from £11,000 to £8,000 the rapid discounting, coupled with repeated prompts to pay a £2,000 advance immediately, was a clear hard‑sell approach rather than a consultative discussion. I contacted few other installers to benchmark. Every company I spoke to quoted £1,000–£1,500 less than My Home Solar for comparable kit and installation. I called the next day to cancel. My Home Solar confirmed the order was cancelled and said the £2,000 advance would be refunded within two days. Despite chasing for 15 days, I have not received the refund. Each time I call, I’m asked for my surname and postcode and told I’ll get a call back—which never happens. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend My Home Solar.
My home solar were great at installing my solar system- but since then I have discovered that the bird netting is coming loose. I contacted them in August about it and they have done nothing. The issue is now much worse and 4 months have gone by with. No sign of them.
My Home Solar - A Fantastic Team who knows how to best to support the Customer. Having recovering from a previous company going into liquidation/ gone bust. We were not sure if we should take a chance with another Solar company. My Home Solar was recommended to us by friends who were very impressed with the team and the workmanship going forward. I have to share that we were not disappointed. Right from the get go.. Mark was assigned on the 21Aug and spent the time was exemplary. The Solar package was installed on Tuesday (29 Aug) and two days in, it’s working perfectly. On the original design Mark suggested that we install a 10kw battery. We was not sure initially due to the additional cost involved, but wen ahead with the 10kw battery. Which was the right size to install due to the amount of Solar energy generated by the PV’s. So thanks to Mark for his honesty & professionalism. The whole team part of my installation was like watching the GB Athletic’s relay team carrying the baton then passing it on from team member to team member. From Sales (Mark) to the Architect (Chris), then the scaffolding team (Dan). And the the roofer / installer/ main man (Tom) and the sparky (Craig). Not forgetting the Customer Support Team (Max) were absolutely fantastic. During the whole experience they were alway making sure we were happy with decisions made to keep things moving forward. A Top Team from my perspective. Well Done “My Home Solar”👏
Be careful with these guys. I purchased a system from them and the installation was great and the team are lovely. It just does not work and shorts daily. Despite up to ten attempts to resolve the issues, they can not fix it and blame the grid. The grid have assured me the installer is at fault. Proceed with care

EXCELLENT SERVICE
My experience was great from start to them finishing installation, that's 2 batteries and 16 solar panels. The electricians arrived at 7.45 am and the whole installation was completed by 2pm, which we thought was very impressive. We met 2 excellent members of the sales and design team, Mark and Martin, who were able to explain the system and the obvious benefits to be had by us both aged 76 and because of ill health and mobility issues have been using 11,000 units of electricity in our 2 bed bungalow. We are just waiting to receive the certificates and necessary paperwork to be able to contact Octopus Energy and to use one if their excellent tariffs to be able to reap the benefits of our new solar panal installation. We would recommend MY HOME SOLAR and award them 5 stars, actually more if it was possible.
Working system, company let down by comms
We have a working solar panel system, but the 0800 number system is awful and resulted in 0 callbacks and hours of emails and phone calls to chase up workmen etc. They have everything they need to be very successful if they sort the communication out.

Safety issues with the installation…
The sales pitch and booking the installation was very easy. The installation team came and were done with a number of hours. The system works well. Unfortunately the after finishing our renovation there were some safety concerns with the system that MyHomeSolar had installed. Safety issues: They did not highlight and label the DC cables in the loft. The inverter was placed below and too close to the consumer unit (risk of Fire) The units were placed on a plywood backing board. (Not a fire retardant board) The battery was placed too close to the inverter and now unable to push the battery off switch. Not sure how this all passed the MCS certification. I have contacted the company a number of times and they said they will send someone to correct the job. No one has come or called to organise. Installed in December 2024 and contacted in January and a couple of times during the year 2025. I would love a response from them giving them opportunity to rectify the install.
Outstanding
Outstanding. Got several quotes with different companies but these were the best and great value. Amazing turnaround - 48 hours between ordering and having the whole system up and running. Clear helpful advice, great post installation support tweaking the system to optimise it for my needs. Can’t recommend highly enough.
