Green Flare Ltd

Green Flare designed, supplied and installed a ballasted ground mounted solar array with remote hybrid inverter and battery storage. We had approached other companies, but the system that they suggested seemed most suitable for our ground conditions. We’re really happy with the end result and would definitely recommend them and their team. We’ve just ordered some more batteries with them.

I had both solar panels (+batteries) and a heat pump installed by Green Flare. These people really know their stuff, and will go the extra mile to make sure your installation is a success. The heat pump model they use is amazing, far better than the low-end models you get from energy suppliers (huge COP and extremely quiet). As for solar, the quote from my energy supplier said they could only fit 4 panels on my roof: Green Flare had a proper look and got 11 on there (and fixed my roof while they were at it!). I needed a custom hot water setup (photo attached - pure craftsmanship) which naturally had some teething problems, but they were up to the challenge, tweaking and fixing until it worked perfectly. I absolutely recommend Green Flare and their products, and I'm very glad I didn't go with a generic one-size-fits-all, churn-it-out-and-move-on type of installer.

Review after 1 full year of use! Had a system installed in dec 2024 at short notice. They started within 2 weeks of order. I had a Fox ESS system installed, 10kwh battery and 5.3kw of solar. It’s been amazing, with octopus agile export integrated into the Fox system it essentially means my utilities costs have been free. I’ve seen peaks of 5.5kw from the solar. Peaks of 35kw+ produced over the course of the day and agile import as low as -8p kw. Yes ‘minus’! As in they pay me to charge the battery at weird times of the day! For the whole year I produced around 5600kwh of energy meaning it was more than enough to cover my elec bills and produce earnings to cover a lot of my gas use too. Only thing I did overlook was the importance of Bird mesh to prevent pigeons. It should be an industry standard requirement I think. But I had render done not long after so had it done when that scaffold was up. As a minimum, not including agile dynamics, At 26p a kWh 5600kw is £1456 savings. Try and get that guaranteed annual return on £9500 elsewhere. I bet you can’t! 😆…… and energy prices are only rising so each year it’s getting better.
