Lewis has been fantastic to work with. He rewired our kitchen, moved sockets and switches, fitted new lights, and wired in all our appliances. He also spotted that the whole house was running on one ring and recommended separating the kitchen onto its own circuit, something we wouldn’t have even known about! He’s very knowledgeable and always happy to go the extra mile. We’re so pleased with the work and already planning to have him back for the rest of our renovation. Would highly recommend!

Lewis was very professional when quoting our fuse board upgrade. He is extremely polite and knowledgeable, which made us feel very comfortable. This is why we chose to go ahead with him. The work was carried out to a high standard and he even repaired a few areas for us which he didn't charge for. Would highly recommend Lewis and his team!

Lewis has just finished upgrading our fuse board to comply with the latest regulations. He’s done a wonderful job, everything works well and looks far neater. Lewis goes above and beyond, you genuinely feel like he has your best interests at the heart of everything he does. I would recommend Lewis to anyone who wants a job done properly.

Honest Review of LRB Electrical & Renewables LTD Be wary of glowing reviews, there is one left around the same time as negative reviews that is family, trying to counteract the number of negative experiences. For clarity, slander involves falsehoods, and based on my dealings, I’ve seen nothing untrue in the other poor reviews. Lewis carried out an EICR on 6th Jan 2025. The report highlighted improvements needed, so I requested a quote. It took multiple follow-ups to even get a rough estimate, and every time we asked for a revision, it was either slow or incorrect. Work was booked for 3rd Feb. Someone else came to install the fuse box, which was fine, but Lewis only attended on 8th Feb. During that visit, he strongly recommended a full rewire—different from what was originally suggested. Although it felt excessive, I went ahead as the property was empty. In hindsight, I wonder if this was a tactic to upsell once on-site. Lewis and Kurtis were never on time and during the rewire Lewis advised the kitchen should be rewired separately during its refurbishment, which I accepted. However, the workmanship raised several red flags: a damaged bathroom tile caused by careless drilling through the kitchen wall, uneven chasing, and unfinished bonding in the kitchen, the bonding in general is of poor quality and doesn’t even cover all sockets properly (which Lewis arranged, so he is responsible. I even cancelled a light switch upgrade to the bathroom for fear they’d damage more tiles. He trashed parts of our kitchen ceiling too. Despite unfinished work, Lewis demanded full payment, leaving a very small balance for the future kitchen rewire. I refused to pay in full due to the bonding and settled on £3,000. Days later, I found lights had been fitted incorrectly—even though the boxes were clearly labelled. Lewis first blamed me, later admitted fault, and came back to fix them. However, he refused to leave the property until paid—an intimidating moment for a family friend present. I paid under pressure without verifying everything—something I now regret. Throughout, they showed carelessness: using incorrect bulbs despite clear labels. As we hadn’t moved into the property yet, weeks later, I found the previously working doorbell wasn’t reconnected. Lewis deflected blame, saying I had mentioned a future Ring doorbell. Still, a professional should’ve reconnected it temporarily. He refused to return, saying it wasn’t worth his time. He did eventually concede on a refund after we declined a battery doorbell multiple times. Given the issues and Lewis’s pricing, we got quotes for the kitchen rewire—all exceeding £1,000. We now believe we’ve been significantly overcharged. Lewis defended his pricing as a “deal,” citing irrelevant expenses like NAPIT fees and van insurance/MOT which came across as desperate justification. He also charged extra for fitting light fixtures, which were already included. Instead of discussing changes beforehand, he just invoiced us later. Lewis has now blocked both me and my wife on WhatsApp. Though we’ve sent multiple emails, replies have been vague and now non-existent. It took three attempts to get the electrical certificate right—only because I spotted the errors. Worse still, the building regs certificate claims a full rewire, but the kitchen wasn’t touched. Thankfully, NAPIT is now involved to correct this. But had we not spotted this, it could have caused serious legal issues when selling. Lewis has been inconsistent and dishonest about what’s included in his prices. Bonding was first a favour, then included in the rewire, then it’d be charged as extra. He also did “additional” work without approval, only to bill us afterwards. If you’re considering using LRB Electrical & Renewables LTD, get everything in writing—ideally a formal contract. Their estimates and invoices are very basic and you’ll likely need to chase multiple times. Be cautious—they may try to upsell once work begins. We have no intention of letting this go and have been advised we have strong grounds to take legal action
