Hi Start Solar provided an excellent service the installers Fergal and John were great lads and very good at what they did. The system is working well and the cabling etc is all neatly installed. Would thoroughly recommend and have done so to friends and family.

We had our solar system installed about two weeks ago by Start Solar and the whole process has been really straightforward. Any questions we had between ordering and installation were answered quickly and clearly. Suzie came out to our home and explained everything really well, which made the decision much easier. The installation team were efficient, clean and tidy, and talked us through what they were doing as they went. The app is also great and has already made us much more aware of our electricity use. Overall, a very positive experience so far.

To I say my experience with this company was positive does not cover it. Have been considering.Solar for some time but as we have a 3 storey South East facing house did not think it would be viable with fiscally or logistically.. Having spoken to a number of companies that did indeed seem to be the case, even if they would consider an installation given the height of the roof I was getting the impression I was being offered an “off the peg” package when I wanted it tailored to me .Andrew from Start Solar gave me that, face to face meeting to answer my many many questions, gave me confidence in dealing with this company. Installation agreed, installed Tuesday the 13 of May 2025 (3 days ago) by an amazing team, seeing the benefits already. Highly recommended!

Start Solar were excellent at guiding us through all the options we had when it came to adding solar and a battery to our house. From the initial phone chat with Suzie, to our assessment with Andrew, we were confident we had picked the right business to work with. I was particularly keen to ensure that the installation was neat and fitted in well with the existing design of the house, which is where Damien and the install team did such an excellent job. I've been so happy the whole process - we have not imported any electricity from the grid since the install one month ago (in fact we are now exporting!). Would highly recommend.

Got the solar PV system in (14 panels, 5kW battery, 3.6kW inverter and Eddi water heater) just about 1 week and we're really pleased with the results. Thus far our draw from the grid is mostly zero and it's been relatively cloudy too. Installation went really smoothly, was a neat tidy job, and the installers and office folks couldn't have been more helpful. Calculated payback for the system is ~3.5 years, but with 25+ years warranty on the panels and 12 years on the battery at that point it's a long period of free energy and is frankly, a total no-brainer! That's especially true as we have a plug-in hybrid vehicle also so great savings there too! Can't recommend enough!

Self sufficient and economically sensible! Plus Start Solar are extremely reliable!

After going through a robust procurement exercise, I made the decision to go with ‘Start Solar’ owned by Andrew McKee. Andrew took the time to explain all the features and benefits of solar power how it would all work on my roof and how investing money in my roof made better sense than keeping it in the bank. The installation day went smoothly and everything he said would did happen dead. I chose a system with 15 panels a 10 kW battery, an inverter and an Eddie. I can already see that I am generating my own electricity to run my household during the day and the night and also heat my water and yet it’s only the end of February. I highly recommend Andrew and his team.

StartSolar system and install

I obtained several quotes for my solar system and although StartSolar was not the cheapest for the spec of system I am glad I went with them. Installed without a hitch, very happy with system.

Very professional service

Very professional service, staff lovely, shout out to Ryan and James for being so patient. Andrew has a wealth of experience and knowledge which was very helpful when deciding what type of system to put in. The guys who came out to do the work were all very respectful and really friendly which always helps.

My solar experience

Initially the sales and organisation of installation seemed to go well but that is where things started to go wrong . The communication between my sales person and the workmen was very poor which resulted in mistakes being made and delay s. I am now 7months down the line but I still haven’t had the bird proofing completed which I was not offered at the time and I believe I should have been .I now have birds nesting under the panels which is a big problem .Numerous calls to head office and my original sales person has not resolved this
