Fantastic from the beginning what initially got me to select them was the fixed prices and options available. Then after initially contact them Jamie responded every time now matter how kind of small that question was plus I also obviously looked at there reviews and knew they had done work in the Newcastle area it was really a no brainer. It was completed just Saturday gone the 27th September they were here from just before eight and didn’t leave until just before 7pm and even fitted a car charger I got from them at a good price, and Jamie even contacted me yesterday to say the battery was getting good charge at 9.30 am and this morning has sent me all the up to date documentation. I have been in sales and sales management all my working life and although I had never met Jamie as it usually people buy people but because of fixed pricing and the great contact it was a no brainer, in sales in creating the desire to possess and he created that for me. Both Jamie and the lad with him on Saturday were fantastic. I would highly recommend 100%. Initially it will always be on price unless your rich which I’m not so pricing was a big thing and as mentioned having the fixed prices detailing exactly everything that’s what you want. I also asked them to put Eddie the Eagle 😂 Not really an Eagle it’s a plastic Kestrel I got off eBay lol on my TV Ariel as bloody pigeons keep dropping near my two air con units so that’s working as hoped and it’s even a blinking weather vane 🤣

I had a fantastic experience with Jamie installing Fox solar panels and battery (Nov 2024). From the initial conversation, he was knowledgeable but spoke in plain English, with no sales nonsense. I had several quotes and Jamie was very competitive on price. Having discussed the installation at length with him and how he wanted to go about it, I decided he was the installer for me. Jamie is an electrician by trade (MCS registered), with family business experience in roofing, so he’s perfectly qualified for the job. Furthermore, as he’s the main part of the installation team, you’re not having to pay for what is a essentially an extra project manager. Once I’d given him the green light, everything happened very quickly (at my request). He called in a favour with the scaffolders, which went up the next day. 2 days after that the installation was complete. Jamie and his roofer turned up at 7:30 both mornings and worked through till dark on both days. They took the upmost care in the installation. Nothing was rushed. (beware of installers claiming they can do a big install in 1 day). Jamie’s electrical work was outstanding. All wiring was very neat and tidy, so much so that the person installing my new smart meter a week later commented on ‘how good the electrician was’ that I used for the installation. In his words ‘it’s all the little things that he’s taken good care of’. My installation design wasn’t straight forward, as I have an external garage to house the battery and extra solar panels, in addition to the house roof, which has velux. Both of the other installers I spoke to wanted to run cables along my wall connecting the garage to the house, and both wanted me to dig a small trench under a slab to run cables from house to wall. Jamie hadn’t mentioned the slab but was originally planning to run the cables on the wall. The moment I knew I’d made the right choice with Jamie during installation was when he spoke to me to say he wanted to dig up the garden to run the cables under ground, rather than run them along the wall. When I asked why, the answer was ‘because running 3 cables will look awful along the wall’. He was right. So at no extra cost, he and his labourer dug a deep trench about 15 yards from house to garage and ran them underground. This is hard work! Ask yourself how many tradesmen would want to do all the extra work, for no extra money, just to make it look better for the customer? They put all the earth back and it looked terrific. They also ran cables further underground to my smart meter rather than along the wall. It was such a good job you can’t notice any cables at all. Even in my garage, because everything happened so quickly, I’d forgot to move a load of heavy equipment when they arrived. They just moved it all without any complaint and got on with the job. They left everything exceptionally neat and tidy. Post install, Jamie’s after sales has been fantastic. As promised, I received all the important documents (including MCS certificate and everything required for SEG application) the very next morning after installation, which was a Saturday. He continually chased the scaffolders to remove that, which came down a week later. He responds to emails lightening quick. He’s answered all my questions and called me back at my request for further support. He even sent me a battery schematic which was requested by my new energy supplier, within minutes of me asking for one. I received all non essential documentation 2 weeks later. My new system is working flawlessly and my energy company are now paying me for my electricity exports, rather than the other way around. Jamie is a fantastic tradesmen, the best I’ve ever worked with in fact. I have absolutely no reservations in recommending him to anyone reading this. Disclosure – Before a few weeks ago I’d never spoken to Jamie before. I am in no way incentivised for writing this review but desperately wanted to do it as a small token of my gratitude for an exceptional job, well done. Thanks Jamie, it was a pleasure.

I researched lots of companies and received quite a few quotes before deciding on J.H Electrical & Solar. I contacted Jamie who replied swiftly and without the pushy sales pitch. I would highly recommend him to anyone after he installed our system to a very high standard. The install was completed in half a day and everything regarding the system operation was explained to me. I'm more than happy with the performance, the high quality workmanship and would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone.

Great experience from start to finish, Jamie was always available even when on leave to answer my questions, and squeezed us in at extremely short notice, and happily included some extra bits at no additional charge. Very thorough during the solar and battery installation, as well as walking us through the system once complete. Install was very neat and tidy, from the panel installation to the external cabling, no issues to raise on our part, and very happy with the install so far. Jamie has been there from start to finish and no doubt will be available to answer any questions down the line if any crop up

I used J.H Electrical and Solar to supply and fit Solar panels and a battery. Jamie organised the scaffolding to be put up a couple of days before installation and he fitted 12 solar panels and and a 10.36kwh battery which was done very professionally to an excellent standard. Shorty after the installation we received all of our warranties and required documents. The price was very fair and competitive and we are very happy with the results. Over the past 2 months we have produces that much from the sun that we currently don't pay for gas and electricity with the amount we have exported back to the grid. Obviously this won't be the case through the winter months but currently the saving are more than every solar company quoted me. I was reluctant at first to get solar but now I wish I had done it sooner. We are very happy that we didn't go with the bigger more established companies as we don't believe we could have got a better installation done by anyone else. Thanks again Jamie.
