Outstanding solar panel installation. The team assessed our roof perfectly, installed high-efficiency panels with no damage, and handled all permits and grid connection smoothly. System was up and running in one day. Our electricity bills dropped dramatically right away, and the monitoring app is easy to use. Professional, clean, and reliable company!

Absolute spam callers. I look up for an online quote, and the next day instead of just emailing or leaving a message when you can't answer the phone, and getting the hint that you can't answer. . I get spammed with 6 calls almost hourly. Safe to say I will not be using their services, To the company, not only is calling people for something that could be an email disrespectful to their time. Repeatedly calling 6 times when it's clear they cannot answer the phone, is both extremely annoying and disrespects the customer and the fact they have things to do, jobs to work. It also screams of desperation from you as a company. ring once, if they can't answer leave a message, and send what should have been a email to start with, as an email. And most of all don't anger your potential customer by spamming them.

Fantastic experience switching to solar. The sales consultant explained everything clearly with no high-pressure tactics, quoted fairly, and the install crew was punctual, skilled, and left our property spotless. Panels perform great even on cloudy days, and we've seen significant savings already. Excellent after-sales support too. Highly recommend this solar company!

Gess contacted me after octopus were unable to do the job because of the size of the house. All I can say is that was the best outcome for me because the team that Gess sent out were amazing. They started on time and finished on time, I couldn’t have asked for more (smart, professional and very tidy) I would definitely recommend Gess.

We had our Powerwall 3 and 8.8 kw array installed at the end of October and we couldn't be more pleased with the end result produced by GESS. I carried out extensive research and acquired many quotes – GESS were the only ones that responded promptly and also in person the very next day. Harrison arrived on time when he said he would and took the time to sit down with us and understand exactly what our project needs were and provided expert advice without pressuring us in to a different specification that would be more suitable or easier for them. I found with other companies that they would try to sell you things you didn’t need just to make a quick buck, with Harrison we didn’t feel like they were trying to take advantage of knowledge gaps and just wanted to do a good job all round. Harrison sat with us in person and designed a bespoke system suitable for our property and answered all of our questions with extensive knowledge of different products on the market. GESS also carried out a technical survey promptly and at the agreed time and date, and despite some unusual challenges of being a 3 storey flat roof property the guys had a "can do" attitude and impressed us throughout the installation process with their professionalism and work ethic. I was also delighted with the aesthetically pleasing finish that we have and the guys quite clearly have a strong attention to details and high standards of workmanship. I would also say that even after the installation and moneys paid GESS still delivered all certification and sign offs as you would expect from a professional installation team, as well as providing post installation support on a query that we had. GESS installed 29 panels and a Powerwall 3 last September. However we requested that 12 panels were placed along a south facing fence but not attached to the fence. This meant building a self supporting bespoke structure. The installation went without a problem and the system has worked extremely well since. Nothing has been too much trouble and I would highly recommend GESS.

GESS were recommended by Octopus Energy because I wanted my installation done in a particular way which Octopus couldn't accommodate. From first contact through to completion of the installation I have been impressed by the efficient organisation and execution of all aspects of the work including the scaffolding. The three installers were a great team, leaving me with an incredibly neat and tidy system and it was followed up immediately with the necessary certificating to enable me to move to an exporting tariff. One totally satisfied customer.

I had solar panels, a battery and a car charger installed. The guys doing the installation were great and everything worked fine until givenergy changed something on their system and the app failed, leaving me unable to view or charge the battery. I contacted givenergy but they don't reply to emails or phonecalls. GESS came back to me and finally got GivEnergy to correct the mistake. I would recommend GESS

Gess what? Richard & Wayne fitted in my panel reinstallation following an emergency roof replacement. They saved me the cost of scaffolding the house again next year and did a better arrangement of the 18 panels than before!

Great company exceptional service

After 4 Quotes for solar and battery Gess were by far the cheapest so initially it did raise a red flag, I need not have worried the service I received for this company was exceptional from the initial consultation with Harrison then right the way through the insulation process. Communication was great I was kept informed of the process throughout, scaffolding, certification and installation. On the day of installation the fitters arrived on time and went through the fitting of the system all the time making sure I was happy with the location of the equipment and the cable runs and finally spending time running me through both the App on my phone and the battery system. Finally I would just like to say a massive thank you to Gess for making my solar experience a seamless and enjoyable one, all your staff have been so helpful and are a credit to your company. Generally a good experience with the ASHP, Fraser (sales guy) is quite insistant so be prepared for weekly calls till you make a decision! Jacob the plumber was fantastic while having to deal with mistakes from HO/Fraser (we ordered a 300L tank and a 250L tank was fitted in error so work was extended by a day while this was removed and the correct on e installed). All work was completed well and cleanly. After sales support has been slow and access to the Melcloud App to monitor the ASHP took a bit of chasing (daily messages and calls for a week) to set up. Generally very happy with the service, just a few niggles,

I had GESS Renewables in to install my Enphase & Tesla Powerwall 3 system. From start to finish they were fantastic. After speaking to multiple companies the knowledge and professionalism of GESS was clear to see. The install went smoothly and the guys were thorough in explaining how to navigate my new system. I recently had solar panels and battery storage installed by Gess Renewables, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the entire experience. No aftercare

Despite the installation going more or less to plan, since then their service has dropped off a cliff. It took over a month for snagging to be completed and two months later there has been no handover. Despite assurances of an annual service, and repeated emails on that subject none is forthcoming. I would think very hard before committing to them for works.

So had my battery system now for a while and can't fault the unit. However the install.... So I persume the guys where on a day rait. very very rushed install. - Tails where left lose that created arcing, Energy provider had to replace isolator as damaged so badly. - plastic conduit used that should only be used inside ( IP raiting ) - wrong type of RCD installed, they did reattend to fix after I pointed this out. Shouldn't take a customer to be pointing out regs to a installer..... - Test button for RCBO is touching cover so if you lean on the pannel, it tripps .... - Trapped neutral cable - chunck taken out of one of the live cables. over all just a very rushed job. The younger chap was very good but sadly he left early and the older chap just wanted to leave. ( and rushed the finnish) when spending this level of money it's a shame. especially when I'm planning on installing solar on other property's I own.

Efficient, effective and swift service from this company who installed a Tesla battery last year, conducted a very thorough ASHP survey and prepared a quote and fitted a second battery recently. GESS also completed the ASHP installation today. Excellent value for a five day project. Works really well. Their plumber and apprentice worked hard and to a very high standard, being meticulous about cleaning and tidiness. Willing to answer lots of questions. A first rate job from very knowledgeable and diligent technicians. Really pleased. The neatness of the work can be seen in the photographs. Highly recommended.

Guess installed my system in 2017 the work carried out was first class and completed in 1 day with no mess. Their operatives were extremely professional and helpful clean and polite very good workmanship on their behalf. The inverter recently got stuck in night mode after a failed software update, I called out GESS who dispatched one of their installers he manually reinstalled the software and it has worked faultlessly since then. A first class company highly recommended.

A great decision was made when I chose Gess for our first Tesla battery. After contacting a number of suppliers and discussing the best applications, options and costs Guess was the stand out supplier. Following the original survey and subsequent discussions both on site and office the first Tesla battery was installed in the detached garage around June 2024. This battery was to work with our existing solar system on the house roof. They sorted the DNO paperwork and the exporting process. It was a little confusing how things worked with our existing FIT payment from British Gas the new SEG from Octopus we had and some doubts, but with the help of Guess staff it all became clear and worked well. So well, that in October we had four new panels fitted to the garage roof plus another Tesla battery fitted inside the garage alongside the other one. It all looks so cool. The whole system works very well and we could see the savings starting to accumulate even through the winter months and now at end of March with the better weather and increased sunshine hours, the savings are increasing. The combination of solar generation, battery charging and timely discharging along with our FIT payments together with SEG exporting all work to save us money. I have no hesitation but to recommend that you give Gess a call for your Solar and Battery needs.

I am finding Gess very relieable and if there are any questions, they do answer quickly, also good at explaining everything - great relieable service. Everything works perfectly, no issues at all. Got Solar Panels and a battery about 3 years ago with GESS. No issues, still going good. Professional staff and good quality work. They have time to talk to customers! as I had plenty of questions and queries, which they were happy to answer. I would and have recommend them to friends and family.

We used GESS to design and instal a 50 panel, two Tesla Powerwall 3 system for our house which has a 3 phase supply. Throughout the design process they were expert and knowledgeable, a contrast to many other installers who were flummoxed by the non standard, 3 phase supply. When it came to the installation the entire team was polite, professional, neat and quick - from the electrical team through to the panel installer, groundworks team and the scaffolders everyone was a delight to work with and we couldn't have been happier. Now the system is installed it has been wall to wall sunshine and we don't know what to do with all the power being generated. Would not hesitate to recommend GESS for any complex installation. I had both Solar Panels and ASHP…

I had both Solar Panels and ASHP installed. First the solar panels inverter and battery were fitted followed by the ASHP which required a replacement of some radiators and some new ones to meet the heat survey. All trades worked well together and as promised we were only with hot water and heating for half a day. I would highly recommend this Company as the sales and office support was as good as the technical phase

Breach of Contract & Unethical Business Practices

I had a terrible experience with Green Eco Solar Solution (GESS) regarding my solar panel and Tesla Powerwall 3 installation. GESS provided a quote, which I accepted, and I paid a £500 deposit. I made it very clear that the council had revoked permitted development rights for new developments, meaning I needed to obtain planning permission. GESS agreed to wait for this. The contract was signed, and I was assured it was legally binding. A technical survey was conducted twice, and I was informed that everything was in order. Once I secured planning permission, GESS was unable to schedule the installation until February 2025. Then, in January 2025, they claimed that the quoted price was subject to change at any time and that they could no longer proceed at the originally agreed price. Despite the agreed quote, completed site surveys, signed contract, and deposit payment, GESS attempted to impose additional charges outside the contract. When I refused, they unilaterally cancelled my installation and refunded my deposit without my consent—an outright breach of contract. Communication was poor, with long delays and ignored emails. My Tesla account now shows two Powerwall 3 units registered under my name, adding further complications. This is completely unacceptable, and after escalating the matter, I received the following response from GESS: "Site surveys had identified increases in works required for your system, including ridge work, panel orientation and design, along with scaffolding requirements." I would not recommend this company due to their lack of professionalism and integrity.

Exceptional service and knowledge from Gess

I've been looking for solar for almost two years and in that time I have seen the price go up and creep down. I never pulled the trigger as every single supplier never made the effort to come and visit us. Getting fed up with map surveys and online quotes on portals that don't load. I contacted Tesla directly for a Powerwall and solar, they put me in touch with Gess. Gess were different. Harrison, called me instantly and arranged a visit. We spoke about our unique requirements. As we install Building Automation systems (Loxone) we had a Loxone system in our property we wanted to integrate with our solar and had very specific requirements on the equipment we wanted to use, the location of the installed equipment and connectivity. Marlin (Gess' expert electrician) came and visited our site and made a brilliant unique plan to meet all our requirements, the whole team from Gess really went out of their way to accommodate us. The install happened over a couple of days, the lads were neat, tidy and very courteous. we've had our solar now for approximately 5 months (it's already saving us money on the utility bills) they still check in on us to ensure things are ok. I would happily recommend them over anyone else. I 'Gess' it speaks for itself if Tesla recommends them too.

Tesla Powerwall install A really professional approach, providing useful advice on the whole domestic energy system (ASHPs, EVs, solar panels and tariffs). This has helped significantly reduce my energy bills & carbon footprint, using a staged-approach to ensure cost effectiveness.

EV charging and solar integration

After purchasing out electric car we needed a suitable home charger. We had used GESS a few years earlier to carry out a solar installation and service was excellent. As they already knew the system, they discussed how they could integrate the charger in with the solar. Price was competitive and service very professional. Installation was again prompt, clean and all cables tidy. Integration with the solar was seamless and we have been enjoying the benefits over the summer.

Second time of using GESS

I have used GESS on 2 occasions now. Initially in 2017 to install solar panels and a powerwall 2, and most recently another powerwall 2 and a new gateway system that now allows me to charge the powerwalls overnight on cheap rate when needed. I found the whole experience really pleasant. The workmen were prompt, approachable and their work was clean and tidy.

When i have called up, wether it is for advice or problems they offer a great service, it is reassuring to know they are monitoring my system 24/7 to check for problems and identifying them before i need to call.

The Tesla Powerwall 2

The Tesla Powerwall 2 was very professionally installed by GESS and has been running since May faultlessly. The gateway is completely silent and the switch overs to and from the battery are unnoticeable. The whole system works perfectly and is easy to see on my iPhone exactly what is happening. Would highly recommend.

Friendly and trustworthy

Gess Renewables installed solar panels for me, and a battery a year later. They were friendly and easy to deal with and have been very helpful in following up any issues. I was glad to have found them, because they gave me far better advice than some other installers I contacted, and they are a genuine and trustworthy company.

First Class Service

We have had a Solar PV system plus a Tesla Powerwall installed by Gess. I can’t fault the service that we have received throughout the purchase experience. From initial informal conversations at the warehouse, the site appraisal followed by the installation of both aspects of the project, we were treated in a friendly and professional manner throughout. The engineers, on both visits, took away all of the rubbish and swept up after they had completed their respective installations. Very happy with the service and would be pleased to recommend them to friends and family.

Poor communication, faulty product, scaffolding left behind blocking access to our bike storage....

About 6 months after placing an order for solar panels + battery with barely any ongoing updates on timing.....we recently finally had the panels installed by a couple of nice technicians. Still no news on when the battery will arrive though. Not even an ETA. Unfortunately a technical fault was also reported the day the panels got installed (I guess the may not have checked it before leaving?) and after reporting it to the firm multiple times they finally confirmed it would require another visit scheduled for approx. 1 month after the original installation. I guess that can happen and they are very busy, but the problem is that they in the meantime are refusing to remove the scaffolding, which is currently blocking access to our bike storage. Most recently they have stopped replying to our requests for updates. Just ignoring us even though we have explained that we were never informed that they would block access to our main means of transportation (live in central London). Most solar installation companies are probably not easy to deal with as this is a bit of a "cowboy market"and GESS might not be an exception. Should probably have gone with Octopus or another established supplier with a strong focus on customer service.
