I can’t rate Andy and his team highly enough. We had solar panels and a battery installed two years ago. What really sets this company apart is their after sales service. We’ve recently had a problem with our bird guard being pulled out by pigeons but as soon as I contacted Andy they came straight over to sort it out. Excellent professional company who care about their customers. We’ve just had an inverter installed for our hot water and are also thinking of a second battery.

GreenCap recently installed 12 panels on my flat roof, plus a 5kWh battery. The service was fantastic all the way through the process. First of all, most of the other companies recommended ballast buckets for the roof, which would have added significant weight and I wouldn't have been able to fit 12 panels. Similarly I wanted East-West orientation which despite being slightly less efficient, has some advantages for my roof - higher panel density, flatter generation curve, more evening generation. Again, Andy understood the requirements and recommended a fixing system which bolted the panels direct to the roof. This also results in better aerodynamics which is handy as there is a high wind load on my roof (it is 4 stories up). Since the recent issues with Russia, demand for solar has gone through the roof (no pun intended) so obviously there were some delays. The batteries and inverter were hard to get hold of so I needed to wait for the shipment. In addition, as I was installing more than 3.6kWh, we needed permission from the Grid (DNO). All this takes time, so don't have unrealistic expectations for timescales. Put your order in and be patient - hopefully you will be up-and-running by the summer. Prices were competitive - having researched the individual component prices, I think the overall price I was charged was reasonable given the service it entailed. Overall, I cannot rate Andy and his team highly enough, but you will need to be patient. P.S. Please ignore the reviewer who gave 1 star.

From the outset, Andy was extremely helpful in helping me understand how our solar panels worked, how they integrated with the battery and the grid and which tariff to use to minimise costs. Would thoroughly recommend and made setting up the house super easy..

Honest company with great service

Andy and his team installed our solar panels for us. What I particularly liked was Andy's frank honesty and his timely response to everything. When we decided to investigate going solar the world and their wives contacted me trying to sell me this and that. Andy and his team told me we shouldn't put solar on our main pitch as we wouldn't generate enough energy, and together we worked out we could put them on the flat roof on my office. He also advised us to hold of getting a battery until we were really sure we needed it. Whereas some of the other companies I had previously approached were trying to get us to buy a battery and install solar on a part of our roof where they would never generate energy! I am really grateful we went with Andy. We had a great experience and the after sales service has been great too. I thoroughly recommend them. Our solar panels are also great and helping bringing down our energy costs.

Solar Panel Installation

This company installed solar panels for us. From start to finish they were polite, professional and got the job done quickly and efficiently. They organised everything, from the initial survey and scaffolding installation, to the subsequent fitting of the solar panels and the final paperwork. It was a pleasure to do business with them throughout, and I would not hesitate to recommend this company.
