Absolutely fantastic service from Use…

Absolutely fantastic service from Use The Sun with the installation of our PIV unit – it quite literally saved the day! Josh, the installer, was an absolute pleasure to have in the house. Even though there was a slight delay at the start because the unit hadn’t been delivered to the wholesaler on time (completely out of his control), he came back the very next day and couldn’t have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for him. The reassurance and support I received from Eddie & the team throughout was second to none – professional, responsive, and genuinely caring. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Use The Sun again and would highly recommend them to anyone considering a PIV installation.

Hi to follow on from my recent revie, ive realised i needed a Dno certificate so rang use the sun and spoke to Lucy who was very helpful. She said they would sort the Dno out for me which was a life saver as i didnt even know what is was, thank you very much for your help, nothing is to much trouble for Use the sun. cheers

I had a problem with the firm that put my solar in(went into administration), I got Use the sun ltd to put everything right am so glad I did.From the start to finish they were fantastic nothing was to much trouble very efficient , tidy and very friendly,the technician they sent Lewis breeze was fantastic knew straight away what was wrong and put it right I am so pleased with the work, I think use the sun have a star in Lewis, thank you very much😀.

Excellent service they able to send an engineer a week early who as well as checking on my reported error also volunteered to complete the service which was booked a week later. Also there was a dignified time in sending out the invoice

Excellent Service

Firstly, I don't usually write reviews. So it had to be particularly good for me to comment. I had 20 panels fitted and two batteries, supplied and fitted by Use the Sun. All the staff from the quote to the installation were very friendly, presentable and helpful. The standard of workmanship was very high, the installation team were clean, tidy and knowledgeable. I did have some trouble filling in the paperwork to export the surplus energy. Victoria in the office was very helpful and explained the process to me. I would highly recommend Use the Sun. I will use again if I need anything else.

Had a 12 panel system installed last week . Has been working perfectly since installation , the engineers keith Josh and Andy were very knowledgeable and very clean and tidy . The scaffold was erected on time and the customer service has been fantastic from start to finish . I highly recommended this company . 5 star service through out .

We had our solar panels and batteries…

We had our solar panels and batteries installed by Soly via Use The Sun and we are very happy with the quality of instalation. After Soly filed for bancrupcy we were left without handover documents and Use The Sun were very helpful, stepped in and applied for the DNO on our behalf. We are very happy customers and would recommend this company to anyone thinking about installing solar system.

Air Heat Pump Servicing

The staff are very competent and the engineer quick and clean. Only downside is that we have had to re-arrange the servicing a couple of times over the years due to priority work.

From start to finish the installation of my solar and air source heat pump has been amazing, from chatting to Eddie to Keeleigh to Adam & Scott doing the solar to James and Martin doing the ASHP, they have been knowledgeable, kind and helpful, always mindful of my little dog and making sure he didn’t escape! They kept me updated all along as to what they were doing and tidied up after themselves Would highly recommend this company 5*

Lovely Friendly company

Use the Sun installed my heat pump 7 years ago and was the best decision I made. This family run company is lovely as are all the staff. Yesterday Martin did my annual service once again. The service has usually been done by him or James are are excellent friendly engineers. My only worry is the high cost for the service but I don’t want to risk problems.

Air Source Heat Pump Annual Service

This review is for the servicing of our air source heat pump system: Use the Sun installed our system nearly fours years ago (December 2021) and we have been very fortunate that we have been allocated James as our engineer for each annual service visit. He is friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable. We are always confident that he will ensure that our system is running at an optimum level. We could not be happier with the service that James provides.

This is a follow-up review for post sales/servicing. I've just had my heat pump serviced. First element was booking the service, which was easy and the administrators very flexible. They kept good contact and know what they're doing. They offered to service the unit next day! I guess they had a cancellation, unfortunately I couldn't react that quick. A date was set which accommodated both our schedules. I'd been in contact with engineer as well. Making the the whole process seamless. This was necessary as my exchange unit outside had a missing condensation kit (I've no idea why), which should have been installed from the beginning. The exchange unit sits on my patio, it produces a lot of condensation (H²O), which froze in winter. Causing an ice skating rink in my back garden. The engineer turned up on time, and with the condensation kit. He's a likeable chap with years of experience in heating. He fitted the kit and did the service with minimal interaction from me. Always took his shoes off when popping in and out (which must have been uncomfortable up in the loft). He was all finished after an hour or so, gave me some good advice on connecting the outflow for the condensation and was on his way. Overall, a painless easy experience carried out by seasoned professionals, what more could you ask for?

How do you get on with your neighbours?If you want to upset them, then these are the cowboys you need! They were at the property next to mine, and the van was blocking my drive, When asked to move it, he said you will have to wait a bit mate! Rubbish was thrown in my garden,and he was spitting all the time.There is so much more I would like to tell you about,all negative,but if i did it would be longer than WAR AND PEACE

It took Use The Sun four attempts to attend an appointment after being instructed by HIES to remedy a poor installation. Two of those appointments were missed without any communication, and they didn't follow up after the third time until I chased a week later. Then they erected scaffolding at my property without telling me, and without an appointment for either that or the work on the roof. The office blamed the worker that attended, he blamed the office. Clearly not a well run company. Couldn't recommend based on my experience. PS: The scaffolding is still up over a week later with no plan to actually do any work, or any idea given of when it will be taken down... Edit in response to the UTS reply: I have attached a drone image of the problem you missed. You consider there is "no fault" with that? Your negligence has meant HIES have refused to refit the bird guard. Oh, and I'm still waiting for you to fix the damage you caused to the roof 3 months later.

After my original installer went out of business, HIES put me in contact with Use The Sun. Such a professional company, they took over and have resolved all the outstanding issues I had. I cannot thank them enough, 5 stars, only wish there was more stars to give.

We are very pleased with our system. HIES put us in contact with Use The Sun after our original installer went bust. Incredibly grateful to Use the Sun for stepping up to the task and also HIES for saving our install. The installers were thorough and professional from initial survey all the way up to installation. They helped to get all of our documents in order so that we could officially export our excess solar production. In summary, a fab install, great staff, great value and I'm more than happy to recommend.

I came to Use the Sun via HEIS after our original supplier went bust. From the start they were professional, polite, friendly and tidy when it came to the install. When the system had some teething problems they didn’t give up u tol they got to the root cause of the glitch and fixed it. You won’t go wrong if you use them

Use The Sun were picked for me by the HIES consumer protection scheme when my original supplier went bust taking a huge deposit with them. UTS were fantastic, keeping me informed throughout. They did their own survey and design and talked me through it. Their install team were brilliant on-site, working around us, keeping the place tidy and quiet as much as possible (I work from home). They were lovely around my kids who were around whilst they were working. I'm really pleased with the job they've done.

Honestly, I can't speak highly enough of these guys. A significant misquote from our initial builder left us with a very unfinished renovation, a removed boiler, open ended pipe system and no heating for over 18 months whilst we saved up for a new solution. I gathered a few quotes from different providers after hearing about the BUS grant from Octopus and use the sun were heads above any other interaction I had (some large providers even asking for £500 deposits whilst they provided a quote..). I contacted them back in November for ASHP quotes explaining the situation and they have gone above and beyond at every stage. The reception team were amazing in keeping things going and helping through the BUS application, even recommending cavity wall insulators (again, brilliant service). The engineers and installers were A class, overcoming hurdle after hurdle (even fixing a broken toilet) and minimising disruption to navigate existing and new pipe routes. All really nice people and delighted with the quality of work and detail. I'll definitely be using them for solar in the future and won't be looking for quotes elsewhere Thanks everyone, you absolutely smashed it!

Just had my solar panels done on my home! They were amazing from start to finish! They answered all of my questions and were always happy to help me! The guys who installed it were so friendly and it was spotless when they left! Very happy, I will be recommending to all of my friends and family!

My initial supplier went bust so we used Use The Sun through the HIES scheme. Wish we had of gone to Use The Sun in the first place! From initial contact through survey, install and after support, every stage has been excellent, install took 1 day for a 16 panel with battery system, clean, tidy work, had a few questions afterwards relating to the SEG Tariff, these were answered swiftly and concisely. Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of using this company.

We have had a PV system installed by Use The Sun after the company we were originally going to use went bust. I found UTS to be excellent, they kept us up to date, were very professional and turned the install around very quickly. I would highly recommend using them.

Highly recommend! We recently had a heatpump installed and the Ray and the rest of the installation team were simply amazing - worked like a whirlwind for two days including Saturday, and left everything very tidy. Ray simply wouldn't rest until he had solved an unexpected and unusual pre-existing issue with our central heating pipes. Post-installation support was also everything you'd wish for, having to come to grips with a completely different heating philosophy. Their engineer, James , came back to check and fine tune the settings after a few weeks of operational time and provided loads of practical advice. The heatpump is now being severely put to the test in the current cold snap and it is reassuring that Use The Sun are available for advice.

They installed my solar panels. My 12 380W panels produced 28 kwh of electricity on best day which exceeded my expectations. They were also one of the few willing to install Enphase micro-inverters. I had to wait for batteries couple of months as there is a shortage. Batteries have been installed now. Great communication with sales rep who responded quickly. Engineers have done great work, everything looks neat and works. Price was good as well. I would definitely recommend them.

I Recently had a Tesla Powerwall 2 Battery installed by Use The Sun. I was very impressed with the engineers. They were polite, on time and very tidy. The price was more competitive than other Tesla certified installers. I would definitely recommend Use The Sun Thank you again.

I don't like to leave negative reviews and have capped my review at two star as we didn't get as far as getting the panels fitted before things went wrong. If you choose to use this company, then you might want to be aware of the following. Sales rep was friendly and I picked the company as he was not pushy. However, after agreeing an install date within the month, every thing was very slow with poor communication. After signing the contract, it took several days, a few messages and finally I got hold of the office to book an Install date. Not impressed I was doing the chasing. Approaching the install date I only had verbal confirmation and again made several calls to confirm, when eventually the right person was in the office, the day before the scaffolding was due, I was told the battery was not available and they didn't know when it would be in stock and so they were cancelling the install. In fairness I knew there might be a slight delay and was told this could be added later. I was not expecting a full cancellation. I was then told they would speak to the sales rep to see what I had been told about this later battery install. Then things got really odd. I was told the engineer and sales rep disagreed on placement of the panels. For this reason no scaffolding plans had been created that had not been booked either (at this point it was due in 15 hours time..). I was told it was the sales rep's problem to sort out and he would be in touch. I couldn't believe how unprofessional this company was being. Manager didn't seem to care that no one was in charge of the project. At this point I cancelled the contract. They never contacted me to apologize or try to rescue the sale, which confirmed my decision.

Over the years Use the Sun have installed Solar Panels, a Tesla battery & last week an Air Source Heat Pump for me. On each occasion I have received a fantastic service, excellent value for money & most importantly, good after sales advice / service when I have needed it. The operatives are polite, knowledgeable, helpful & respectful & that's very important when these guys are in your house for a couple of days. I really can't recommend this company enough.

From initial phone call and site survey, to a fully running system with Tesla Powerwall in 2 weeks. Install was 2 days. All work was carried out by skilled conscientious workmen. My setup was a little different but Eddie worked with me and produced exactly what it wanted. The back office produced all the paperwork and certificates including the DNO for grid export. 100% delighted with everything this company has done for me. Finally their price was very much the best I had been quoted.

The initial impression was good, but they consider this sales chat as the firm and final contract. It's impossible to agree on anything before a survey and final plan, but without signing anything they try to rush the installation. They refuse to provide any written information or contract, and insist on meeting up or discussing over the phone to save time instead. I asked 7 times. All I got was a business card which has no name. After cancelling it I finally received 3 pieces of unsigned paperwork. I wonder if anyone would be happy to get into a debt of £15k like this. It probably would've been ok 100 years ago. It's just shocking.

Hi All My Uncle asked me to pop round while he had some work carried out on his Bungalow, where he had 16 panels installed. We were both very impressed with the way the guys worked. They were on site at 0800 they explained what they had to do and showed us the design and all cable runs. they got on with the work no fuss or bother (one even went out to purchase milk as we run out). Fantastic job no mess would definitely recommend Use the Sun.
