This whole process went extremely well; from first internet enquiry, to final handover the NGRE team were nothing but supportive and helpful. Indeed, they were able to accommodate several changes to our installation (added car charger and extra panels) without interrupting the workflow. The scaffolding arrived when stated and went up quickly. The next day the installation team worked swiftly and efficiently to ensure that our Solar PV panels, Tesla Powerwall 3, Tesla Gateway and Hypervolt car charger were all installed within the timeframe quoted (and very neatly I might add). In fact, it was as a result of a casual conversation between them, and myself, that we realised extra panels, which we had wondered about, could be installed whilst we still had the scaffolding, and at minimal cost). Sam also identified a potential problem on our consumer unit and added the fitting of a new compnent, for our safety, without slowing the whole process. They also worked very patiently, with a couple of technically challenged OAPs, to ensure that we had all the app's installed correctly, and up and working, on our phones before they left us. Finally, the boss (who did the initial survey after our enquiry) turned up on his day off to check that all had been completed correctly; and we received the most comprehensive e-package for the handover! I should like potential clients to note several things about this review. We have never interacted with anyone at NGRE before making our initial enquiry. NGRE have not (unlike so many companys) tried to brief us on what we should say, particularly as a minimum (you know who you are who require a `9' rating as standard!). But also, we did not competitively tender this job. We knew (pretty much) what we wanted, and we wanted a local firm to do the work; as soon as we made contact with NGRE we felt that we could trust them as a company (they immediately explained the OVO situation) and so we were not at all stressed about this quite comprehensive job. This may seem a rather long review, but I am so encouraged to find good customer service, that I wanted to make it reflect our experience. Oh, and the installation works a treat, even during these dark months; and with a pigeon `strike' (it leaves a very pretty pigeon-shaped image) already and fireworks night it seems robust too.

Greg and his team were prompt, professional and proficient - with the actual install taking just a couple of days from start to finish. The team installed 17 panels and 30kw of batteries into our 3 phase system. The panel specification was adjusted to ensure that we were maximising available roof space, while the modular battery install enabled us store just the right amount of solar power during the summer months, while optimising for off peak charging during the winter, to run the air source heat pumps. From proposal to installation, the team took the time to outline and explain the various nuances of the system and advised us in an impartial way, to ensure that the end result was a system that met our needs. Thoroughly recommended.

NGRE provided a terrific service to install 23 solar panels, a Tesla power battery, and an EV charger. They provided expert advice, were very efficient at organising the DNO, and were very reliable at getting the work done to a good quality, on time and on budget. Next Generation Renewable Energy (NGRE) installed a Solar Panel and Battery system for us recently. Of all the companies we got quotes from, only NGRE sent someone to our house to discuss our specific requirements in person rather than do everything online. The installation took less than two days to complete with minimum disruption. The workmanship is to a high standard, and all the rubbish and packaging was taken away. The electrician took us through the system and helped us install the relevant apps to monitor the system on our phones. All the necessary paperwork was done by NGRE and sent to us by e-mail. We are delighted with our solar panels and battery, especially as we haven’t used any electricity from the Grid since they were turned on! If you are in the market for such a system, we would thoroughly recommend NGRE.

Right away, they were mapping out the best cable routes and identifying potential challenges, which gave me confidence in their expertise. Fantastic service from NGRE from start to finish. Clear initial discussions around the best options for our property, promptly provided a very competitive quote, great communication while waiting for our installation (only took a few weeks) and installed in a day by an efficient, tidy and friendly team. We had a couple of very minor teething problems which were dealt with extremely efficiently. No hesitation in recommending NGRE, and others could learn from their outstanding customer service.

I don’t often submit business reviews but felt compelled to in this case. Given all the scare stories out there about cowboy solar installers, I found the NGRE experience to be fantastic from end to end. All staff involved - from the initial survey and design, through to the scaffolders, the roofer, the electricians, even the courier who delivered the panels - were courteous, tidy and amazingly efficient. NGRE did a fantastic installation of solar panels to my house which reduced my electricity bill from £900 to £50 per month since installation with two latest Tesla Batteries. Thirty two panels were installed in the front and back roof of my house for a very reasonable price tag. Gregg, Steve, Sam and Carl were planning it smoothly and did a very neat installation and also sort out the Tesla Batteries for storage of energy. NGRE were recommended to us by a friend who had panels installed by them over 10 years ago. We found them to be honest and open with their pricing and very knowledgeable of the various options. They were able to offer a wide range of products and, with their experience of using various suppliers, provided some useful guidance. Many of the others who quoted had sales people round to measure up whilst Steve from NGRE really understood the business, far more reassuring. He was friendly and helpful. So too were the team back at Oxford and the guys who came to install. There was a slight issue with panel alignment which they were unable to sort on the day but they returned promptly with the different brackets to resolve this. We are generating more energy than I thought we would given the time of year and so looking forward to a return on our investment at least within the advised timescale. Generally very happy!

I initially approached only solar power companies that were highly recommended by Which magazine as there are so many. Next Generation were one of these. Of the companies that responded, only 2 offered the off-grid back up I required. Most inverters will not work if the grid is down. I decided to go with SolarEdge and Next Generation, rather than Tesla Powerwall, as they designed a system with my particular needs in mind, rather than just looking at my power usage and giving me a standard 'fit-all' design. Although there were delays in getting some parts, I think an issue you are going to find whoever you go with, there was good communication between myself and Greg, the boss, at all times. Once installation began, the workmen from scaffolders to electricians, were all known by Greg, very polite, highly skilled and all went smoothly. Its a large 20 panel system with 2 x10kwh SolarEdge batteries, inverter and a full house backup so if there is a power cut that lasts a number of hours, I immediately get notified of the situation, I can shut down non-essential equipment, and keep essential equipment running using the batteries and one battery is always kept fully charged. This is quite unique. Although in my case this is to keep highly-sensitive cold water marine fish alive, I can see it being applicable specifically to those with disabilities who really can't cope with being plunged into darkness or those who work from home who need to keep internet and computer running at all times and data safe. Highly recommend them. Good work lads!

We were very happy to be working with Greg again and Next Generation Renewable Energy. Following a 12 panel installation to the Annexe in May 21, we had to wait until June this year to get the right solar panels and roof design for our 27 panels installed in landscape to the Carport. Greg has kept us upto date during this time. The project has been very efficient. Greg has a very good team. Only 3 days; Scaffold up, tiles off and panels in place with minimum disruption. We had the power coming in a few days later after Greg's help with the internet connection to the main house. We are pleased to see our daily electricity costs halve on the sunny days of summer and with this integrated roof design we have been able to offset some of the cost by selling Welsh Slates no longer required. Brilliant job .... Greg is a proper expert, and the job went smoothly - scaffolding erected the day before installation. all equipment delivered and installed, work in the house done neatly - thanks! - making good well done. installation is marvellous - battery installed a couple of weeks later due to supply issues. Inverter and battery have an app that shows what is going on generation and export wise, and theres a webpage that gives more, up to the moment information as well as much historic data. we re generating - up to 13kw per day on a sunny day, even though its October - looking forward to longer days and more energy pouring in.

Our solar + battery system was competitively priced and installed professionally. The staff had a positive attitude despite having to be flexible around the weather and other issues. I felt I could only give four stars due to a few gripes. We were told to expect installation in about 6 weeks but it ended up being installed nearly 9 months later for a mixture of reasons. We did not receive any direct update from the company for several months. Supply chain issues were blamed, which is fair enough. However, it turned out that the company had not applied for permission from our network operator during the first few months, and this process (which was necessary for us but won't be for everyone) takes three months. Communication overall was quite poor once the booking was made, with me having to chase a lot. On the plus side, due to the delays the company agreed to install the 2nd generation equipment (which was by then available) for the same agreed price. This had advantages over the first generation, and we agreed to have a further delay in order to facilitate this. Overall, the company are clearly very competent at installing these systems, but their administration and communication could have been smoother.

After over a year of waiting for Givenergy equipment to come into stock (apparently 2022 was the worst year to want solar!) I finally got my install completed by the guys at NGRE. Greg and Steve were great to deal with and we managed to sort out other equipment which in the end had a better specification than the original Givenergy gear - great! The day of the install went very smoothly with the scaffolders, roofers and electricians. They were all super efficient and I was incredibly pleased with the final product. Everything was fitted nice and neatly in my utility room (to keep the batteries at the right temp!) and the guys did a really great job. At times the communication was slightly lacking - however Sarah made up for this by keeping the ball rolling and always replying super quickly with updates and answers to all my questions 😊 All in all a great experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend NGRE to anyone needing a solar install in the future 👍🏻 Just need some sun now!

Excellent. Greg and team were extremely friendly and knowledgeable and always helping to answer questions. Once main part of the order was ready, the scaffolding turned up with panels, next day started at 8am and right through to completion, next day scaffolding down ! Exactly as explained. Have managed 3.8kW at peak of power on 1st clear day, with solar panels and Givenergy equipment. On a misty day I seem to be able to produce enough for the basic running of the house at least. Battery wired, just awaiting for delivery due to supply, with the aim of being mostly self sufficient. Highly quality team & highly recommended

Excellent business. Installed solar PV for me 10 years ago and it's been faultless ever since. Greg and the team have done several other jobs for me since then, both big and small, including more Solar PV and electrical testing elsewhere. The latest job has been a Giv Energy battery and AC-Coupled inverter system so I can use lots more of the electricity I generate in the spring/summer/autumn when it's sunny and buy it at cheaper times over the winter when it's not, I really am impressed with their skill and service. They work quickly, efficiently and tidily. There is never any mess and never any pressure to accept quotations or act on them quickly. I'd highly recommend NGRE.

Great Service

Having had a nasty experience with another company, I contacted NGRE and they sent someone out to survey my house for fitting an EV charger. Greg explained it all to me and the different options available. I had the quote the same day and an appointment was made for a few days later. The world then went mad with the virus lockdown and I was given options by Greg on how I wanted to proceed. I decided to go ahead as I could be seperate from the engineer and leave him to it. John rang me in the morning to confirm we were both fit and healthy and that I wanted to go ahead. On his arrival I showed him the required places and left him to it. He was kind enough not to comment on the dust under the freezer which he had to move! John did an excellent job and was professional through out. After he left I later found that some lights didn't work as they should. I emailed Greg and John rang me next day and returned to sort the problem out. It turned out not to have been a problem caused by anything they did but John fixed it for me. The people in this company were courteous, knowledgeable, smart, communicative and did the job as they should have done it. I would recommend them.

Community village hall

Our project was for a community village hall. The service from NGRE was professional and efficient. They were awarded our contract under competitive tender conditions and proved to be commercially competitive. We now have a 10kWp solar array and approximately the same in battery storage. We look forward to the financial and environmental benefits that this should deliver.

Currently working with NGRE to get a radial MVHR system installed in our house. We are mid-way through the process at the moment, but already I'm pleased with the job, because other companies initially told me a radial layout would be too difficult to implement (given structural restrictions) but NGRE has proved them wrong and I'm sure the system, once switched on, will be all the better for it.
