The whole experience was quick, efficient and totally stress free. The team recognised a need for urgency and completed the entire task from design to commissioning in under 3 weeks.

Harvest Solar Cornwall Superb

After receiving quotes and speaking to a number of Solar suppliers in Cornwall I settled on Harvest. Steve was very knowledgable, carried out a site visit, answered my queries and suggested the best set up for our home. After accepting a very competitive quote the Harvest engineers turned up on site to install the solar panels. Installation and workmanship was very good. Once our build was complete and we had electricity and broadband on site the Harvest engineers returned and installed the batteries, inverter, Zappie and Eddie. Once again the installation was first class carried out by the very experienced Colin, who gave a full brief on the system before leaving. After the install Michelle quickly dispatched all the necessary paper work and commissioning certificates. If you are considering a Solar PV installation then your first port of call should be Harvest Cornwall!

2 year Install update

Tried and Tested

Our installation must have been one of the first, done back in August 2014 and we haven't had a problem since the day it was installed. We had a heat pump and solar panels installed together and have been totally satisfied. I contacted Jonathan Coyle today, nearly 11 years later to ask if he had a copy of our MCS Certificate and within 5 minutes it was in my inbox. Amazing aftercare service.

Prompt and efficient. They did what they said they would when they said they would. Only minus is that didn't discuss the option of working off-grid until it was too late.

The electrician team (Craig and another Richard) then finished all the electrical work inside to a high standard and with minimal disruption including overcoming a couple of unexpected issues (which made it a 2 day job) and all without any additional costs to me. Finally as I write this 6 weeks after the event I am pleased to report that the solar combined with MyEddi is already making a better than expected impact on my electricity bills. Overall I really could not recommend this company highly enough.

ASHP installation. Energy survey and installation done by Harvest. Very good service - the energy survey was thorough and an appropriate sized unit was recommended. Workmanship from installer and electrician was of an excellent standard. ASHP working well and very pleased with the outcome. Would highly recommend using Harvest and would use them again for any further work. This was done a year ago now and have been very pleased with the result - have had the one year service today and again the communication and service is excellent.

Solar installation

Great install back in 2017 of Solar Panels by Jonathon's team. Ran trouble free for a number of years until 1 panel optimiser failed recently. After consultation with Jonathon the optimiser was replaced by the team who were polite and efficient when onsite and all panels back working correctly the same day. Brilliant !....would highly recommend.

Efficient installation of solar panels and battery

We have been very happy with Harvest’s installation of our solar PV system, including solar panels, a battery and Eddi immmersion heater. The sales and admin staff, Steve and Michelle, were knowledgeable and efficient. The installation process was very straightforward and efficient. All the people who’ve come to us have come when expected , and been pleasant, conscientious and professional. The project was well thought through, matching our needs and the best places for locating equipment in the house. The result is a discreet, tidy job. I was particularly appreciative of the electricians who came across some problems which they dealt with very professionally. The roof works were done with care and the wiring and trucking neat and tidy. I appreciate care taken to resolve wifi problem and to talk me through installation and functioning of the system and apps. Since installation, during the last two weeks in August, it’s all been working well and we have scarcely used any grid electricity.

Great installation by Harvest Cornwall

Harvest Cornwall were very helpful in advising on the installation. We were kept informed of timing for installation all the way along, and solar panels were installed on the dates promised. The electrician was on site at the same time to install batteries and connect the system up to the mains. They have really been extremely good with communication and ensuring system is working fine after installation. we have no hesitation in recommending them for future works.

Solar and Battery system

Initially contacted Harvest to explore ASHP. Ended up not going ASHP for a variety of reasons (I still want ASHP at some point), but I got Harvest to put in Solar panels and battery. Various options to choose, and good advice and technical help available from Harvest to help make those decisions. Installation dates were pretty quick. Various visits are needed - Scaffolding -> Panel Install -> Inverter + battery install -> commissioning. Harvest kept me well informed about progress along the way. Installation is really neat. All the techs/electricians were very helpful and had many tips to pass on. System worked well from the off. It seems a good system, specified correctly for our property and energy demand. It's very nice to get negative electricity bills (although obvs it is height of summer right now!). I had quotes from other local companies as well, but think I made the right choice going with Harvest. I would recommend Harvest (and would recommend everyone getting a home battery and solar if you can afford it).

We first meet the Harvest Cornwall Team at one of Royal Cornwall Show Home Build Events and were impressed that they were local company and we would be able to speak to them personally. A friendly and professional person came and gave us a quote for installing solar panels, ground source heat for underfloor heating which we accepted. Whilst there were problems and delays with our building programme , they were accommodating and did their parts of the build as and when it was appropriate. They constantly kept in touch to find out when we would be ready and arranged suitable times for the installations – we found the office staff very polite, supportive and really helpful nothing was too much trouble for them and readily answered any questions we had. The engineers arrived on time were polite and always explained what they were doing and how things worked. We could not have asked for a better company to have worked with.

Brilliant Local Green Energy Company. Harvest Cornwall

Harvest Cornwall were recommended to us as they had done installations in our road with high marks in all areas. We had ASHP, Solar Panels, Inverter, Battery and a Car Charger. Everything was sized and specified accurately and the work completed to the agreed schedule. The installation teams for each set of components were fantastic. Quick, friendly, polite and helpful. They answered all my endless questions with diligence and patience. Perfect customer service. Well done and thank you Harvest.

Harvest assured us that the heat pump specified would cope with the coldest times of the year in our old cottage. After our first Winter we are very happy with our heating system, the running costs have dropped dramatically and the house is very comfortable. Our solar further saves our electricity costs. Harvest took care of the government grant paperwork and we would highly recommend this local company.

Harvest Cornwall installed my solar system. They gave me comprehensive advice and the installation was very professional and tidy. Everything is working well and I am saving on my electricity! All staff are friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this company.

Fantastic service from the initial site survey, to the final install of our Air source heat pump and radiator heating system. Our Grade 2 listed tin miners cottage is now toasty and warm, damp issues gone and bills 60% less than our previous electric heating system, fantastic!

Harvest provided us with ASHP, underfloor heating, hot water cylinder and a large array os solar panels on a new build property. From the initial design to the installation everything went smoothly. Great customer service and support from everyone at Harvest. We will definitely be using them again for future projects!

From the initial enquiry we made with Harvest they were responsive and friendly. Where we needed to change plans (due to planning) they were helpful and very honest with the options we had. Any issues (nothing major) were dealt with and it was great to be able to call and speak to someone in person. We are so pleased with our panels and appreciate the advice on the batteries.

Great company with great aftercare service. Thoroughly recommend them

In June ’23 we enquired with Harvest Cornwall about solar and a hear pump. They have now completed the commissioned project (September '23) and have been fantastic in every aspect of their work. The sales approach was both professional and non-pushy. The whole team have a great understanding of their offering and yet do not tread on each others toes when it comes to individual specialisms. Certainly no ‘jack of all trades’ here!

 Harvest Cornwall have provided us (supply and install) with Solar Panels, a 5kw storage battery, an inverter, an air-source heat pump, a hot water cylinder, a car charger, an immersion heater for excess solar energy to boost the water temperature. Plus, I’m sure there are other things that are involved that I do not understand! Essentially though the main thing that notes in my mind is that my energy bills have gone from a whopping £500-£600 per month down to circa. £90 per month. I’m sure they’ll never quote you savings like that as they are very conservative with their estimates. In my layman terms, our system works like this… - we charge the storage battery over night on a super cheap rate from Octopus Energy. - we use that stored energy in the morning. - the solar then kicks in an we use solar throughout the afternoon. - when we’re not using all the solar energy it re-charges the battery. - once the battery is full the systems boosts the hot water temperature. - once the water is at temperature the system charges the electric car. - once the the car is charged to the set charge, the spare solar goes back to the grid and we get paid for the KW by Octopus. - in the evening we then use the battery with the stored excess solar energy. - then the whole thing starts over again. Fantastic! Harvest also dealt with the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) Government Grant and completed the required paperwork on our behalf. The after service has been great and I’m confident this will continue should we need it. I certainly have no reservations in highly recommending Harvest Cornwall, especially the team that I had experience working with (Michelle, Emma, Aaron and Craig).

We contacted Harvest Cornwall after having dealt with them through a project for a client of ours who had instructed them to carry out a major renewable energy system at a property. A site visit for our home was arranged with Emma, who was very knowledgable and able to answer all of our questions whilst she was here and once we received the full quote for our new Air Source Heat Pump and the detailed technical information, it naturally prompted several more questions, all of which were expertly managed and dealt with. This gave us the confidence to make a well informed decision about proceeding using Harvest Cornwall to supply and install. The installation was promptly arranged and carried out by Carl and his team, who were simply exceptional. It’s not easy to carry out work in a property where people are home-working and made even worse because of Covid and the restrictions placed on us all but they got the balance just right and were professional, tenacious, timely and a pleasure to have about the place. The standard of workmanship was excellent and it really has been a pleasure dealing with everyone at Harvest Cornwall, from our initial enquiry to finalising invoices and help with our application for our RHI. I can highly recommend Harvest Cornwall (and have already done so) to anyone seeking the installation of renewable energy supply for their home or business, they excel at what they do and you wont be disappointed.
