SolarTherm made light work of our panel installation

I've been highly impressed by SolarTherm throughout the process. I was recommended them by a relative after they handled a solar installation for him. Unlike several other companies I contacted, SolatTherm really listened to our objectives through the quoting process rather than aggressively up-selling us. Once we had agreed the plan the in-person interactions were great, from the site survey, scaffolding to the installation: all their staff were polite, friendly and efficient and did an excellent job, taking time to explain everything to us as they did so. After the installation was finished the customer aftercare has been strong, with several follow-up calls and emails to check in and rapid responses to our few questions. I would highly recommend SolarTherm, and indeed I have done so to others already.

Helpful, considerate and efficient.

Lily was very helpful and moreover, patient, as we pulled out of an installation before mid-November last year. By the end of January we had reconsidered and arranged for solar panels/battery to be installed mid- February. Every thing went smoothly - the scaffolders started at 8am, Solartherm arrived soon after. They were a three man team but we mainly dealt with Jude, who couldn't have been more helpful, considerate and efficient. They worked non-stop and completed the installation about 7pm. We are the third members of our family to choose Solartherm and we would have no hesitation to recommend them.

Great service

Have dealt with Solartherm UK before, I had solar panels fitted they were professional and efficient, so it seemed a no brainer to go back to them when I made the decision to purchase storage batteries for my system. From the start Lily was friendly helpful nothing was to much trouble, she took the time to explain my options, I took the time to review my options, i received no pressure on making a decision, i phoned and booked an installation date with her at a later date. The installation day arrived and Louis was neat, professional and efficient, he had some issues with a software problem, he couldn’t fix, he contacted the company regarding this issue and it was resolved the following day. I had phone calls from Lily and Louis keeping me informed on what was happening. The system is all up and running, no issues, GREAT Service and helpful friendly advice, thank you.

I had solar panels and batteries installed by Solar Therm in 2021 and have received an excellent service from them since then. Today I reached out to Lily to ask if she could retrieve my DNO letter which I had misplaced. She searched their archives and forwarded a copy almost immediately. You couldn't ask for a more helpful service Thank you Lily.

Great service from these guys, recently had Louie out to do a service on our solar setup and he was fantastic. Service was done to a high standard and he explained exactly how everything worked in a very easy to understand way. Thanks also to Lily for arranging the service so promptly.

Solar Battery Install

I purchased a 10kwh solar battery system to be added to my existing solar panel system. The staff were helpful in helping to ensure that the system was compatible with my current set up and on the day fitted the system with ease. This is now up and running and I can see that I am using more of the energy I generate which should help lower my energy bills.

Solartherm UK installed my solar panels over 2 years ago. I do not live local to them and they came to Oxfordshire. The installation was straight forward. I have had no issues with the panels, battery or inverter. I have contacted them twice this year with small questions e.g. how to reconnect the system to a new router and how to switch off the system. I have found that they have a very good telephone service and technical back up. They have not hesitated to provide the guidance. So this is very good 2 years on. Having seen the installations in my village by other installers, I can see that Solartherm did a very good job. They have installed a neighbours solar panels this year too. I would recommend them and don't be put off if they are not local to you.

I used SolarTherm to fit a battery for my solar panels. I cannot fault the customer service, the install or the fitter. From the initial consulation period to installation was an easy process. Everything was explained in great detail and the team were more than happy to answer any questions that I had. The installation took a whole day to complete and again everything was explained to me in great detail on how the system was installed, how it operated and how I monitored the output from the newly installed panels. The installation was done to a very high standard and very neat with no visible cables showing. I would recommend SolarTherm UK if you are considering having solar panels installed.

A very helpful and efficient company.

Our original SolarEdge inverter broke at 8 years old, 2 years inside the warranty. SolarTherm took care of the warranty claim and kept me informed throughout. We decided to add a battery to the system and Lilly in Tech Support was most helpful. The battery together with the replacement inverter was installed within the week by Louie, the installer, who was excellent, helpful, polite and explained things really well. I recommend SolarTherm most highly.

We had 12 solar panels and battery installed by SolarTherm in July following our getting an air to water heat pump last year. Prior to that, we got a hybrid SUV and put in a EV charger two years ago. It seemed a natural progression to reduce the amount of electricity we were paying for from the National Grid. The advantage of having a battery is that one has a limited emergency power supply (EPS) in case of a grid failure. Very useful if one needs medical equipment to be working during a blackout (as I do). We cannot fault the team who installed the panels - very professional and knowledgable, looked after our property and were very pleasant (thank you so much to Ben, Jude and Marty). When the panels were installed the EPS was not on their work docket so was put in at a later date. I am told SolarTherm have reviewed their procedures and will make sure that it included in future work orders as standard. One piece of documentation that is sent is a Installation Portfolio PDF coming in at a weighty 15MB which has all the manuals and, in our case, most of the documents needed for applying for government schemes. We would definitely recommend applying for the Smart Export Guarantee. This is where you are paid for any excess electricity that is sent to the National Grid. The process to apply is a little bureaucratic and you will need to present documents to your electricity provider who handle it. In our case, we were held up for a few days waiting for an invoice that showed we had paid for the installation from SolarTherm's account department. All in all, we are very pleased with the installation hence the 5 star rating. It is a pleasure to look at the app one uses to see how the system is working to see that you are not always importing electricity from the grid.

After approaching solar therm UK an appointment was made and attended in 5 days, and after all the information from the office when I first enquired and the ate din surveyor the system that suits my needs was installed in one day. The crew that completed the installation were both professional and courteous. Clearing all packaging and leftover materials from the site like they had never been there. Hats off to them all an ace firm. Will recommend them to everyone I know.

Great Service and Company!!!

I had solar panels installed into my property. Didn’t have much information regarding it and was unsure. SolarTherm was recommended to me by a friend of mine and as soon as I spoke Dan I knew it was the right company to deal with from the staff in the office Hillary or Lilly to the installers. Great service all round highly recommend this company since I did my home. I’ve had other properties done as well.

The quality of the battery and inverter…

The quality of the battery and inverter installation was very good, but owing to time pressures on the installers I felt I had not been given an adequate briefing before their departure. This omission was however dealt with efficiently by the sales team.

Solar thermal fitted my a system for me last month. What sold it to me is that Lily was completely transparent and didn’t use BS sales techniques that every other firm I contacted used. Surveyor and install team were very professional and I’m happy with the work thats been done. Would highly recommend!

1st Class service and backup from day 1.

From day 1 the company have been very informative and nothing has been too much trouble. Rob Mallon is very helpful and able to answer any questions however small. His office staff are also very good and are able to help. Installation of my battery add on for my panels went smoothly and the engendre was very good anda crecer to the company. I would certainly recommend Solartherm UK Ltd to everyone.

It was a fantastic service from sales through to installation and after sales. Fair and competitive prices and I would highly recommend Solar Therm to anyone who was thinking about having solar panels installed. A special thanks to Lilly, Sally, Danielle and the fitters, Matthew, Jude and Ben. My only one negative was UK Power taking there time issuing the DNO! but this was nothing to do with Solar Therm.

Lily did a great job working through our design with us and was very patient as we went through the options. Malcolm the surveyor was very knowledgeable and put us at ease prior to installation. The installation team Jude, Ben and Matthew were very efficient, very neat tidy work with some tricky cabling. Hillary has been very helpful on the technical side and is walking us through the set up with our energy provider. All round very impressed with the efficiency of service and attention to detail so far. Thank you!

WARNING! ‼️ if you want great service and product then this is the company to use! We first met Rob M, the sales guy in January 2025! We took a few months to make our minds up and decide when it was best for us to make this transition into Solar Energy world. Rob M was an excellent communicator and also Lily B from the office, Lily was very helpful when we had any questions or concerns I.e the work which was to be done on our roof, the weight of panels etc etc. Once we agreed on a quotation for solar panels and battery, it was smooth saling! Throughout the process, communication was excellent, it starts with the scaffolding , now the scaffolding team were amazing, polite and very quick and professional. Tracy who organises the scaffolding install is great too! Then 5 days later it was the install day, now this was a stressful day in my head as I wasn’t sure who was going to work in my house and what sort of mess was to be had, WOW - I was met by such a friendly bunch of install people!! Matt, Ben and Jude, as soon as I opened the front door to Matt, I felt super comfortable and like I was in good hands! Matt (sparky) and Ben (roofer) took the time to explain what was going to happen and also we looked at different options in the best route of getting the main cable from switch board in the house to the inverter. Their workmanship is impeccable! Special mention to Jude , what a hard worker and his workmanship is top notch! They did an amazing job and left my home in such a clean state and I must say that Solartherm are very lucky to have them doing the installs! Great product and after care, I still have a few questions on the app (which I am glued to, watching how the energy goes from my solar panels and battery to my inverter, basically off grid so far!) This is the second time I have instructed Solartherm. Having had a great experience with this firm at our last house, it was a no brainer to go to them again at our new property. If anything the whole experience was even better than the last from the design phase right through to commisioning. The installation team put in an incredibly long day without complaint and I was very grateful for their attention to detail and common sense approach. I can't recommend them enough and am delighted with both the service and product.

Referred to me through Octopus energy. Would certainly recommend. Planning of the system clearly & patiently explained. Surveyor answered all questions and locked in the plan. Installation team did an excellent tidy job. System performance data from the Luxpowertek inverter is excellent. System performing as expected in the spring sunshine.

Solar panels for 4 years…

Having had my solar panels for 4 years now, I recently had to contact the company regarding a small item which I needed and they were very helpful in supplying the details I required. I can highly recommend SolarTherm, and the installation team were superb. Everything works extremely well.

Impressive

Very good coordination between specialist areas. From the start they were helpful and were able to answer my questions. Unlike some of their competitors they charged £250 for the survey, while one competitor was free. Nevertheless, their survey was more comprehensive and satisfied my concerns about the structural integrity of the roof. After installation the phone app(lication), to monitor how the system was working, was easy to interpret. Everything was carried out on time to a high standard - most impressive.

From the moment I contacted Solartherm followed by the surveying engeneer and then most of this week until today by the staff installing my 40 solar panels, battery etc all absolutely first class. Knowledgeable, experienced and polite. Clearly a company well managed and retaining its staff.

After dithering for a considerable time I decided to purchase a solar panels/battery system and contacted various companies to obtain quotes. I was amazed by the attitude of some companies and decided to go with SolarTherm who impressed me with their professional approach. I definitely feel that I made the correct choice,Lilly in sales was really helpful from the start and arranged for Dan the surveyor to visit who made good suggestions and an order was placed. The installation was carried out the following week in one day by Matt,Ben and Jude in appalling weather which did not seem to deter them at all and was done very neatly and efficiently. I did have a few problems with our new energy provider but again with the help of Lilly and Sally at SolarTherm everything was sorted out which again shows how helpful the staff at this company are company are.They go the extra mile. I have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone considering the purchase of a solar energy system.

Excellent Job !…

I got several quotes for the solar panels at our new offices and Solartherm were awarded the contract for many reasons . Initially the surveying engineer was very knowledgeable and assisted on the speciation for our particular requirements. The quote was comprehensive, easy to understand and competitive. Once the order was placed the project was handled well , the installation engineers competent and finished on schedule in the time allocated , despite poor weather . Aftersales were attentive and efficient. Cannot recommend them highly enough . Great job, thanks Solar therm.

Highly Professional Solar company !!

Well, what can i say....other than that I am super impressed. I worked with a few suppliers and then remembered I had previously had a quote from Solartherm 2-3 years ago so I contacted them again. Nothing but honest advice and also patience with me whilst I wanted to understand everything from the technical side. Their focus was ONLY on the best solution for me and not on overselling like I had experienced elsewhere. The work was completed in a really professional way and I am super pleased with the outcome.

SolarTherm made contact with me after I expressed an interest for solar panels and I booked an initial house visit to chat about the options and the system that was available. Rob the salesman was very knowledgable and everything he said made sense so we took the plunge and booked in a survey within 5 days. The surveyor came round and checked over the house and measured up and once we agreed scaffolding and fitting was booked in and now we have solar panels. The installation team Ben, Jude & Harry turned up introduced themselves and before they started work we talked about my concerns, they explained about the process and fitting as I did feel a little anxious about the cabling coming in off the roof but this was quickly remedied as they gave me a few options that I was happy with and they didn’t disappoint. The fitting of the inverter and the battery was perfect and the cables were very neatly tucked into the joist just as I wanted. All in all a very easy painless process that was professional from start to finish. On this occasion I made the right choice and I didn’t have any recommendations from anyone I knew so I made a gut decision to go with SolarTherm and it worked out perfectly. Everyones experience will be different but from my point of view SolarTherm did a very professional job and they made me feel very comfortable about my decision and everyone in the team made the whole process a pleasurable experience. Agreed to go ahead after haggling for a discount and panels fitted within a week. All very professional and office staff very efficient in answering follow-up queries. Had them just over a year now and electricity bill nearly halved.

We recently had 11 new solar panels, an inverter and batteries installed by SolarTherm UK. I was really impressed with the service from before the quote, the quote, the installation and post-installation support. I would highly recommend the firm, the products they provide and the individuals involved. From the very beginning of my discussions I found them to be proactive, professional and also flexible to my needs. Initially Hilary, assisted with scoping and what could be done, then Lily took this forward to ensure all of our specific needs were met. As we were having a new extension built (including new roof), we already had scaffolding (that they could have provided), they listened to our requirements including embedded (in-roof) solar panels, were flexible to work around our building schedule, the fitting was very professional and all staff onsite were polite and considerate, they were clean and concealed the wires, inverter, batteries in a way that caused as minimal disruption and minimal visibility of wires (we actually have none visible on the outside or inside the house). The team worked hard to get the job complete within one day and also the initial specification measurements and checks caused minimal disruption. The teams involved were very flexible for our needs and my own personal circumstances that they worked around. A great firm, great people and overall a great experience! Thank you!
