I’m so thrilled to have found these guys. They cover a wide range of services all to do with saving energy and ultimately money. They didn’t know me and came out same day to fix my solar panel connection. No charge as it was just a flipped switch which was incredibly kind. I will be using them more in the future ….. guaranteed. I love meeting and working with thoroughly decent people.

Great overall experience

Effecient, enthusiastic leader who provided honest and thoughtful advice. This was followed by a team who did the work carefully but rapidly (in bad weather) and were delightful at all times and went out of their way to prevent disruption to us.

Excellent from start to finish

I contacted Luke Powell at the end of 2023 to look at my existing solar system with a view to add an 8.1 kWh battery. After an initial phone call, Luke came to my house for a site visit and I found him to be friendly, personable, consultative and highly knowledgeable about renewable energy. He gave me some excellent advice and we agreed to make some small adjustments to my system and to install the new battery in February 2024. On the day, Luke's team was superb: approachable, hardworking and nice guys to boot. After the installation, Luke was quick to follow up and very responsive to any queries I had. All in all, I'm very pleased with the level of service and quality I received and would highly recommend Solarpowerful to anyone looking to go on the solar power journey.

I have had my system for 5KW roof and…

I have had my system for 5KW roof and 8.2 kw battery for almost 18months. Definitely the best money I have spent. After Luke provided the quote it goes quiet for a bit. When the install date is given everything happens quickly. The installation took 2 days and the team were excellent. There was no mess and the scaffolding was taken down 2 days after installation. I believe I will have full system payback in about 4 years. Due to now having an electric car. It allows me to charge the car and the battery at 7.5p per kWh which is handy during the lower daylight months November to February. The only problem I experienced was when I had a power cut. I went to use the double socket I had linked to my battery and it did not work. Not a major issue as when the power was on everything was working very well. Solarpowerful came out and discovered a fault on the inverter. They contacted Giv energy who authorised a replacement. They installed the new inverter 8 days later. Great service. I would definitely recommend this company, in fact they did my father laws installation.

Return better than expected!

We have had our system for over a year now and comprises 16 panels for max 6KW facing east and West along with 8KW battery, Water Heater and car charger. I now have a payback of 6 years especially with the car option as costs £3 for 150 miles due to night time rate (Solar free in Summer). I had this all explained clearly with Solarpowerful and they delt with the Power Supply company to get upgrade from 4KW to 6KW. Main choice for me was experience of complex solutions not just panels and invertor. The solution is now more costs effective due to the nightime tarriffs offered by Octopus and the export rate doubled from last year. Very proffesional instal and support.

Professional, experienced and great after care.

I can highly recommend Solarpowerful. They have installed a number of Solar PV and storage systems locally and already came highly recommended. Their system recommendation was perfect for us and their back up support, help and advice with the system have been excellent.

A truely honest company.

I've used Solarpowerful twice now, first was a solar & battery install & then again, this week for a GivEnergy EV charger install. I contacted Luke after the original company I had a contract with went bust & left me hanging. I visited the shop (warehouse) & spoke to Luke, who gave me a thorough & honest rundown of my options, with no sales pressure. Solar install date from time of saying yes was a bit of a wait, but this is only because they are so busy (because they are in high demand), but they started & completed exactly as they said they would. All the guys working for Luke are friendly, professional & trustworthy and they all clean-up behind themselves. Daz (electrician) was extremely patient with me & very helpful. Communication prior, during & after is very good. If you are south coast based & are thinking about solar/battery etc, I recommend contacting Luke & have a chat with him.

We have had ongoing problems with our app. It is not clear if the panels were actually not performing for substantial periods in November (5th - 19th) and December (24th and 25th) 2023.

I found SolarPowerful after having a bad experience with the Solar Together scheme and couldn't believe that they were right on my doorstep. From the initial contact and quoting through to the final install and commissioning of my solar and battery system, they have been excellent. The installers were on time, neat and cleaned up after themselves and both Luke and Emilie were really helpful and responsive with any questions before and after the install. It is a really neat job too with great thought given to all the cable runs and position of the battery & inverter. The whole experience has been painless and even in February and March has been generating well. The ability to charge the battery on a much cheaper overnight tariff, topped up with solar and then running the house during the peak times has saved a fortune. I would not hesitate to recommend SolarPowerful and will be back in touch when I have saved enough for a heat pump. Thank you to Luke, Emilie and the team.

We cannot recommend Luke and his team enough. From start to finish they have been excellent. Luke was happy to visit a number of times to discuss our requirements and explain fully what the system would involve, how it would work and when we would likely recoup the investment. There was absolutely no pressure at any time to have anything installed and I wanted to use someone local so it was a great result. I was fed up of putting my details into big sites only to be spammed so decided to hunt out individual local companies and SolarPowerful fitted what we needed. They completed the application to SSE and explained the process of getting authorisation to tap into the grid. The installation took 2 days, the fuse board required updating which the team were happy to do and they were very punctual, tidy, polite and just cracked on with what they needed to do. Really happy with the installation and can't stop looking at the app now! We will likely get them to install a smart EV charger at some point as we only have a basic one at the moment. If you're looking for solar to be installed then give these guys a shout.

SolarPowerful was the 3rd Solar company I asked to quote for fitting a PV system to my roofs. The expertise shown by Luke (the owner) left others in the shade. There is nothing Luke doesn't know, and he gives no hard sell. Discussions took place in March, and the installation occurred over two days at the beginning of July. The installation team were efficient, knowledgeable and a delight to have around. Ours was not a straightforward install either. SolarPowerful is a small, family-owned and run company who provide a Rolls-Royce service. They could not have been better. The scaffolders they use are also an excellent team. It was a pleasure to do business with SolarPowerful and I have no hesitation in recommending them, the only problem being that they have – not surprisingly – a long waiting list!

We had a 14 panel PVC array plus a battery and an EDDI fitted by Solarpowerful.The whole process was simple and the installation went like a dream. We can not recommend them highly enough. If you want a solar enery system installed, look no further. And the back up service is excellent.

I Highly recommend this company. Excellent service throughout from initial consultation. Very impressed with Luke's knowledge of the entire range of needs of his customers. He calculated the number and type of solar panels we needed accurately to serve the needs of our home. He gave excellent information on the types of panels he recommended and the advantages / benefits of each guiding us throughout but giving time to understand the subject. the condition of our roof inspected thoroughly, movement of the sun position assessed to ascertain where each panel should be sited. On placing order the team who came to fit the products were amazing, thoroughly careful throughout. Post installation advice and guidance on how to manage everything so kindly and patiently given. Our systems are still working extremely well one year on.

An excellent company. I first came across them when they were used as subcontractors by the firm that supplied my house battery. Since then I have used them to supply a car charging point. The one they recommended was excellent. They have also done maintenance on various aspects of my system as well.
