Super Company!

I was very happy with everything start to finish! They treated my house like their own and did an amazing job despite it being quite a complex install (you would never know they had even been there!). Great people to work with too so i highly recommend!

Great sevice

I was in need of a last minute electrician, when I phoned, they were extremely helpful and got someone out to me within hours. They got everything fixed for me quickly.

Very professional and tidy bunch

Very professional, friendly, and tidy. Carter Electrical installed our solar panels/inverter/hot water diverter and set it up as a smart home. I highly recommend them.

Getting a convenient slot was straight forward and the two electricians who came successfully managed to get the four different jobs fixed satisfactorily (where other electricians had not). I am therefore very pleased with the outcome. I think if I’m honest, the bill came in slightly more than I was anticipating on top of the quote but I’m still pleased that they were able to solve my electrical problems

After finding a more complicated issue than expected, following a power outage, our local electrician recommended we give Carters a call and we are very grateful that he did. Rachel in the office was very helpful and organised one of their electricians to pay us a visit that day. Before we knew it we were back up and running. Following a very detailed and in depth fault finding session by Thomas. He was very efficient, effective and a pleasure to talk to. Carters pricing we found to be very fair, transparent and clear from start to finish. We would highly recommend their services and will certainly be using them again in the future. Many thanks. One year on and i’m really happy with the system’s performance. Now currently in the process of adding a battery expansion, again through carters. Thanks to all the team for a great service.

Carters were prompt in giving me a quote for installing an EV charging point at my house. An appointment was given and Thomas was polite, efficient & helpful in installing it up for me. I did have a problem the following day which Matt sorted out over the phone.

Carter Electrical recently installed external lighting for us, very pleased with the job.

Carter's fitted a heat pump, thermal battery, car charger and extended my existing solar array at a good price. All the work was done in less than a week to a really high standard. Everyone who worked on it was really nice and careful to leave things safe and tidy each day. After the installation Jon has had loads of time for me, checking the system is working as planned and answering my questions. The system is working really well and we've disconnected the gas!

Superb is the word I would use for Carter Electrical very professional , very knowledgeable & very nice people too ! I had a fairly big & rather complicated job that needed doing in my house , despite having to cope with pest control trying to sort out a hornet infestation in the next room , the job was completed on time & very successfully . I am about to use them again & highly recommend them .

Very efficient at installing, but enormous aftercare costs when compared with Which standard rates. So high that it makes the whole system economically unviable. Beware. Edit in reply to response: Repeated attempts to reason with customer service have failed. Aftercare costs are higher than savings made by the solar panels. False discounts are the only offer made by Carter Electrical, which offer no savings. @Carter Electrical - I remain open to discuss this with you to find a fair solution.

Carter renewables have just installed a heat pump for us to replace our old gas boiler. And also an Eddie so that the excess power from our existing solar can be used to heat our water rather than being sold back to the grid. I was really impressed with the whole process. Initially, Jon did a fair bit of research allowing us to use our existing tank with a larger heat exchange. The install itself was smooth. The team were great, friendly, tidy and the work looks really good. As you would expect, they took the time to make sure everything was working properly and that we understood how to use it. Very impressed! Well done guys.

I am really pleased with the heat pump, panels and battery installed by Carter Electrical. I looked at several companies and Carter was the only one that I had confidence in to do a good job. Jon in particular is knowledgeable, professional and personable, meaning that I've no hesitation in recommending the company.

We had solar and battery installed in December 2024, after carefully planning the system with Jon over several months. The installation team were professional and really friendly, and we felt incredibly comfortable having them around the house - it is obvious that they genuinely care about the work they do, and we never felt that anything was being rushed. A number of families in our road have used Carter for their installations, and all of us would not hesitate to use them again in the future for system expansions. We would highly recommend them.

We chose Carter Electrical for full house solar and battery solution. From start to finish, Jon gave advice, walked us through options and the project was completed yesterday. The team on site were courteous, mindful of our home, and supportive in advice shared. Chad was a great leader and educator, teaching me and the other members of the Carter team. Excellent first experience with Carter Electrical! The replacement of our old panel went smoothly and the (difficult) addition of three more circuits into our 1st floor kitchen was professionally and efficiently done. Even the aftercare service was excellent with someone responding next day to our query. All-in-all highly recommended!

Incredible service from Jon and his team at Carter Electrical. I had an unexpected requirement for a rewire and Carter electrical visited site at very short notice, provided a very professional advice and a competitive quotation, and delivered a superb job of rewiring my home from top to bottom. Fantastic experience - highly recommended! Carter Electrical were brilliant from beginning to end. Martin was quick to come and assess the job, the quote was accurate (with no additional charges) and the install was wonderfully neat. Martin took the time to fully understand the oddities of the Tesla Wall Connector and worked with Tesla and me to ensure he was able to fully test and sign-off on the unit. Martin and his colleague both followed Covid-19 social distancing guidelines in full and wore masks when in our property. Highly recommended. Will use again in the future.

Carter Electrical installed a solar PV array and a Powerwall battery storage system at our house. The electrical installation was excellent and they handled some roofing issues well. Overall an excellent service and good value too

Carter electrical supplied and installed a Zappi v2 EV car charger within 2 weeks of my initial call. Survey was carried out next day, the installation price was cheaper than some national companies who then contract out their work to someone else. The installer turned up ready to start at the scheduled time and now just waiting for the car to turn up. Definitely recommend if your in the Reading area and getting an EV. They will also sort out the paperwork for the government grant.
