Lack of transparency and honesty
After 10 months of delays, Happy Energy cancelled our ECO4 application over the phone today without giving a proper reason. They refused to confirm the reasons for the cancellation in writing until further notice. We are fully eligible with an EPC rating E and meet all criteria. We have a disabled child and no heating. It’s getting cold and we’ve wasted nearly a year. Throughout the process, emails and phone calls went unanswered. They refused to engage with our freeholders and their workings are not transparent. Constant delays and being messed around. These are not the people to be working with vulnerable families. Beware.
would appreciate people who do work in my attic not to go through my bags! my bridesmaid dresses are all over the new installation that has been put up there which has obviously just been thrown about!! and all my Christmas decorations has been chucked to the back of the attic! which i asked them not to do. i offered to bring it down but as it was only a few bags they said it would be fine. all my stuff has been carefully placed in my attic so I physically wouldn't have to climb in now I can't reach anything without climbing in there!!
This would be 0 stars if the option was available. Came on the 25th July to lay loft insulation in my elderly mother's home and things were taken from the loft. Bags were clearly opened that were previously completely full and cable tied closed together, now some of them the cable ties have been cut off and are half emptied, shame on the installation team involved 😠
Contacted this 'company', in early 2022, to see what energy saving materials they could install in my home. All sounded quite positive initially, and they sent someone out to do a whole house survey at the end of April. The surveyor told us it would be about 12 weeks before we'd hear from Happy Energy, regarding any work they'd do on the property. Since the date of that survey, we've heard nothing from the company, and I've tried emailing them several times, and when you phone them, all you get is a recorded message! What a complete bunch of Strokers! Seems like other people have gone through the same frustration with 'Happy Energy'! AVOID like the plague!
Absolutely useless. Waited and waited with no communication. Contacted them and was told the funding had been removed. Would have been nice to let me know. Is this organisation publicly funded? If so, seems like more money for nothing....
Found on Cornwall website grants available, so applied in March and was contacted very quickly by HAPPY ENERGYwent through all the process and surveys by WARMER HOMES then told had been accepted , then nothing :)) sent several emails to find out what was happening, last reply in August was.. "NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS, WE WILL CONTACT YOU" what a pathetic un professional company. as others have questioned what is happening with this grant money they are receiving ??? The one star given is the lowest available, believe me they are not that good..
Once again they let us down with their incompetence. Time wasters and procrastinators. They never phoned when they promised to, we did all the chasing. It leaves us to wonder what they do with their grant quota as they don’t seem to be spending it on those that need it. Don’t touch them with a bargepole!!
I had a boiler installed by them a few years ago by the person who performed the survey and they were marvellous! However, they contacted me recently at my new address to carry out another survey and didn't show up and even tho I have emailed twice, they have not had the courtesy to respond and of course telephoning is IMPOSSIBLE!!
Like trying to get blood out of a stone. Happy Energy sent an unprepared assessor out to my house with insufficient equipment. No response to emails and cannot get hold of them on the office phone, peddling the all too convenient ''COVID - 19" dross, cop out excuse. Seems all the staff 'dealing' with my application have been replaced or released. Essentially they have given all of their grant allocations to landlords / social housing associations leaving nothing for eligible private house owners. Utter waste of time and should be held to account for wasting public money. Nothing 'Happy' about this excuse for a company. Avoid at all costs.
This organisation are time & money wasters. No doubt someone is getting rich quick but they are not helping the vulnerable to have warm homes. Applied to them for grant in February, they responded with emails & sent an assessor out for half a day to consider what could be done to heat my home. I have heard nothing since. They do not answer phone or respond to emails. I feel scammed! They have all my personal data & have been inside my home I am now concerned about their rationale for investing time & money but take it no further.
My mum had her new boiler fitted yesterday the guys were so nice and made the experience not so stressful for her.
This company is supported by the Mayor of London warmhome scheme but the reality is that this is a totally unprofessional company that are just willful time wasters and have no sense of professionalism. Im am 65, vulnerable woman with a 27 year old boiler that has not worked the last 14 month and despite qualifying for help their manager Nick Plummer now writes that they are not going to help and SORRY FOR THE INVONVINIENCE. Inconvenience is an irresponsible platitude and should not be used when leaving a vulnerable person without heating and hot water. Don't waste your time applying to this company as they are not doing the scheme any more and as I have informed the Mayor of London office, they will hopefully be removed immediately so they do not waste other people's time.
Unable to contact them by telephone, they say due to covid they are all working from Home. Accepted, but they do not give out or divert numbers to a staffer at home and they do not quote a contact number in their emails! How do you talk to them on a urgent matter??

The Office Staff, especially Matthew, and the two Engineers who actually carried out the Eight Radiator and Boiler Installation all exceeded themselves in completing a superb job, just faultless. Many many thanks for enabling me to look forward to a warm home at last.
They are very professional and excellent workmanship on our gas boiler and thermostat valves installation including powerflush. Very tidy and efficient.
I have never come across a commercial organisation that was so unhelpful. TBF I did receive an email response, but it was a generic one that wasn't signed and didn't address my email. They had no interest in quoting, asking questions, putting me on a list to contact later or re-reading my email when I pointed out the errors in their own arithmetic. I never did find out who was emailing on behalf of the company and hope I never do. I can't imagine a business with such dreadful customer service being around for much longer, I would avoid.
Wasted a morning off work to have a survey done for a new boiler. The gas man who condemned my boiler recommended them. He said they dealt with grants and I might qualify for something towards the cost, even though I work full time. I knew I was going to have to pay money towards it as I have an old back boiler, so a new one would need to go in a different location. The chap who did the survey clearly wasn't happy with my plans to want it in the bathroom - the airing cupboard was his preference! I'm sorry - but if I'm paying, then I'll have it where I like thanks 🙄. They also did a quote for loft insulation at the same time. This quote I received quickly, but I had to ring them to chase the boiler quote. It was then that I was told the rules had changed and now it was a requirement that underfloor insulation was in place (this was not mentioned in the initial consultation) to get any kind of grant towards the cost. I was told they could send an email to double check this information though and that they'd get back to me. That was 2 weeks ago now. I've been without a boiler for a month so have booked an installation with another company.

Our new boiler has just been installed today, 23 May 2019. Thank you very much Happy Energy. We are very pleased with the installation, and with the skill and hard work of Danny, Brian, and Jay who carried out the work quickly and efficiently. Thank you again for all you have done.
