TVR recently fitted a second GivEnergy battery to my existing solar panels and battery system. The installation was quick and clean. Commissioning took a little longer with a minor problem to diagnose and fix, but the issue was resolved quickly and efficiently, and the system is now working very well. Very happy with the service provided.

Had a great experience with this company. We needed a specific EV charger fitted and it couldn’t have gone smoother. Sam, our engineer was so efficient and friendly. He left the property completely clean. He is definitely an asset to the business.

A very professional install from start to finish. Trevor was happy to answer any questions I had around the quotation, and Richard and his colleague were excellent getting the system installed in fairly rough weather conditions. Now the sun's arrived and we've started saving a decent amount on energy, and I have all the graphs I need to ensure everything is operating as expected. Would recommend TVR to anyone considering a solar/battery installation.

I owned solar panels on a previous property and, as a chartered electrical engineer, was able to form a pretty good idea of what I wanted for our present home by researching on-line. It was then a matter of discussing the detail of what I had in mind with potential contractors and seeking competitive quotations. My initial and very constructive conversation with Trevor, of TRV Electrical Systems Ltd, gave me early confidence that this might be a good company to deal with. We discussed a concern that my Electrical Network Operator (ENO) might not allow the full potential of a Tesla Powerwall 3 to be used owing to local infrastructure limitations and Trevor offered to submit a G99 application, in advance of my committing to the proposed installation, if I was prepared to contribute to the cost of doing so. To this end, Brad, TRV’s other director, made a site visit to measure the grid supply impedance and to discuss where the various component parts might be installed. I was very impressed at TRV’s willingness to engage, like this, and wonder how many other companies would do likewise. The ENO responded surprisingly quicky, allowing the full capacity of the Powerwall to be used, so I happily went ahead. Throughout, my wife and I been very impressed by the knowledge, competence and personability of everyone in the TRV team that we’ve had dealings with. In addition I cannot fault the cleanliness, attention to detail and standard of workmanship employed in the installation. All in all, I’m very glad that I chose TRV Electrical Systems Ltd to supply and install our new solar and battery installation and would thoroughly recommend them without any hesitation. I will certainly approach TRV for any further electrical work that I might require. Thank you!

Installed Tesla Charger Jack and Seb were the team who installed our charger. They turned up on time and were efficient polite and competent. Overall I cannot fault them in any way. It was a pleasure to have them on site and if I need any other electrical work done then I would look no further than TVR.

TVR Electrical Services have done a great job on my solar panels, solar battery and car charger. I had Rich, Seb and Jack working on my roof. At all times they were polite and concerned to do the right job for me. Trev is focussed on delivering the right design, approvals and documentation. I have 10 kWp, SolarEdge inverter and 10 kWh battery. I generate enough electricity to cover all my energy needs including Electric Vehicle and gas.

A competent, knowledgeable and efficient team

I called TVR Electrical when my solar PV system went down. They were quick to respond to my call and arranged a site visit soon after. They diagnosed the problem, ordered parts, and were back to fix it within days. I would certainly use them again.

Demounting and Remounting Solar Panels

TVR originally installed our solar pv panels and did a superb job. This time they demounted half of them to allow for building work and remounted them on completion. Efficient, professional and friendly job as usual.

Over the last couple of years we’ve been fortunate to have many of the TVR Team work on our domestic solar, batteries, and ancillaries installations. Each time they have been prompt, polite and professional. Every element of the installation has been thoughtfully and carefully implemented, with minimum disruption to our home from the initial contact, advice on and selection of products, through to actual fitting and final sweep up. When there was any, such as the lifting of several blocks in the driveway, all was restored to the original status as if nothing had happened. The post-installation support has been second to none with Trevor always willing to check in on the system and advise on performance queries to provide us with a deeper understanding. We now consider TVR our go-to electricians and we thoroughly recommend them.

Was looking for a solar and battery installation, and TVR came highly recommended by 2 seperate friends. Had them over for a quote which was competitive and indepth and within 2 weeks work had started on my installation. Very good communication from them, and every staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful with any questions I had. Work was soon finished and I was up and running, now hoping my energy supplier is as quick changing me over to the export tariff as they were with their installation. Thoroughly recommend.

I had tried quotes from some of the large electric companies for my solar and battery installation; however, I found that I was dealing with telephone sales reps who were really just shifting tin and glass with unconvincing knowledge of their products. I checked Which? Trusted Traders and MCS and found TVR who are local to me in Emsworth. From the outset, they were highly professional in both the approach to quoting and the final installation. The team who did the installation had the customer at the centre of all they did. Where decisions had to be made of placement of equipment etc. they came up with solid ideas to help with the decision process. They were also very focused on the quality of work they provided. They persevered and got the whole installation of 20 panels, an inverter and battery in place in just over a week. Dealing effectively with little problems with the install as they went along. This what at a time when the weather was truly dreadful. They are a well run company who are focused on renewable products and their team seems happy to work for them. They are now there to support me with any questions after the install with their own access to the system to enable easy decision making about how we use it. Thanks TVR and your team. Great job.

Having searched heavily to find the right company to do my solar/battery installation I am really pleased to report that TVR were excellent and I would highly recommend. They arranged dates and met them and were very professional and courteous throughout. The quality of work is fantastic.

Tvr added a battery to our existing solar system. From the first contact they were brilliant. Every thing happened as they said it would. When the commissioning of the battery didn't go as planed they were on to it straight away and kept on until the problem with GivEnergy was resolved.

Great site visit and information provided by Trevor. Competitive quote and kept in the picture with supply issues for GivEnergy gear. Unfortunately they were late arriving and I wasn’t informed, this meant they had to return to commission the next week which was disappointing as this needed me to be available for two days rather than one. The guys were very neat and tidy, not much in the way of explanation on how things worked though, left to discover this on my own. Trevor was again very helpful answering questions by email, often above and beyond out of business hours. The disappointing area surrounds paperwork, I believe under regulations the install should have warning labels and details on shut down procedure - all this is missing. I’ve managed to get a manual for the inverter and battery but feel this should have been provided at install, nothing was left on the work days. Over all 4.5/5. Great help with questions and queries before and after the order. Very neat and tidy work. Could improve on comms around appointment time and some oversight appear to have been made from a warning label and instructions perspective.

TVR have recently installed PV solar panels and a storage battery at our house and we are very pleased with the system, we wish we'd installed such a system earlier. Throughout the process Trevor and the team were very helpful from the start when they gave honest and sound advice, through to the end when they explained how everything works and how to use the control app on a smart phone. Their installation staff are friendly and very very tidy workers and they were happy to answer any questions we had. We thoroughly recommend TVR to do any work you need.

Trevor and his team are without a doubt the best electricians you will find. Here is our experience. After buying an older house, I called TVR electric to assess the state of the electrics and discuss a quote for additional sockets, consumer unit replacement, EV charger, Google nest thermostat and a new upstairs ring main. The quote that TVR provided was easy to follow and allowed for a couple of different scenarios that we had discussed. Most importantly it was a very reasonable price considering this work would be carried out by a team of highly capable professional electricians not just the guy with the cheapest quote!! The day came for the work to begin and the whole team arrived promptly with a clear plan as to how to get the work done. Led by Brad, who was patient in answering any questions I had, the team went to work with an efficiency and dedication that you rarely find these days in a world where excuses seem to come all to often. The work was completed to an incredibly high standard with very little mess considering walls had to be chased and drilled. Honestly, I couldn't recommend these guys enough. Just remember you get what you pay for in life. I've just booked them in for a solar install as have my parents at their place.

TVR successfully and professionally carried out some major domestic renovation works for us in 2016 with Trev providing the daily contact and updates, and doing most of the electrical work. During the renovation I requested that provision be made for the future splitting of a large room into two , with independent lighting arrangements. Five years later, we decided to split the room, and TVR have been brilliant in having remembered the exact configuration of switching and wiring and in helping to carry out the complex switch and pendant reconnections necessary to complete the work. TVR could easily have regarded this job as low priority, but instead approached it as the professional completion of the original job. Thank you TVR.

Trevor and Brad completed some work for us on our new extension when the original electrician totally let us down. Their level of professionalism was fantastic, they took over the job, explained everything that was required, gave detailed quotes, turned up every time, exactly when promised and carried out the work to a very high standard, on time and on price. I would highly recommend them and will be using them again I am sure. Update to this from 2020 - Had these guys carry out the Electrical safety check at my property - can report their service is STILL as excellent as ever! - my tenant even had a failed shower isolator on the same day and this was fixed with no hassles whatsoever. Highly recommended
