My heating went off on Friday last week. rang the emergency out of hours team and an engineer came the next day however as the heating had resolved itself I cancelled, the heating totally went off Saturday night so called them back, a young engineer came out the next evening 6pm. Told me the thermostat was broken and he did not have a replacement on the van !! Why wouldnt an emergency service have one of these, he told me he could ldt me have 2 blow heaters untill they could sort out a replacement which I declined as I could not afford to run them. It is now Tuesday, have rang them back and spoken to one of the customer service team. I have to say this person had zero customer service skills and told me the engineer wojld be here at 5pm Today,as it had been a few days I asked if he could get here sooner and he repeated what he had said and put the phone down !!
This company were working on our neighbours property and whist my car was parked and stationary, the driver reversed into my vehicle, causing damage to the rear light cluster and dents on the boot. I have CCTV footage which shows the incident and the management of the company Paul Wise, assured me this will be resolved privately and not to go via insurance, he asked me to get a number of quotes which i did considering my vusy schedule and had forwarded the quotes via email to the company. 5 weeks later I am yet to receive a response to my e-mails and have called on numerous occasions only to be told I would receive a call back which i haven't. I am disgusted at the dishonesty and now left out of pocket and have damage to my recently purchased vehicle. I strongly recommend not to trust or use the services of this company.
Dyson contacted me following referral from Octopus Energy for insulation. Be warned as they are very incompetent. They kept getting confused between cavity and loft insulation, cancelled appointments without telling me and were defensive on the phone. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
They keep sending me young inexperienced plumbers 👀 I then have to make another appointment for an experienced plumber to fix what has not been fixed by the young inexperienced plumber 🤷🏽♀️ When I complained it was turned on me by the company and a leak caused in April this year has still not been fixed as their so called technician said that the leak was originally there. I’m furious because they are implying that I was lying!!! Oh and guys to add insult to injury I am paying a premium every month for this shoddy service and nonexistent customer care. Sadly, British Gas Homecare is not what it was 20 years ago when I first signed up. Dyson Energy Services is part of British Gas Homecare y’all.😱
Dyson have done a great job for us: we had door undercuts, 2 ventilation fans installed and cavity wall insulation. They turned up when they said they would and the work they did was really good quality. David, Stuart and Ian were all really informative, courteous and helpful. I'd highly recommend them.
They're a contractor for my landlord, Freebridge Community Housing, and this morning I got a letter saying one of their representatives was going to turn up sometime to do an EPC as part of the process to get grant funding for loft insulation and possible replacement of CWI. Only a couple of problems with that. The first is it's non-essential maintenance all of which has been stopped by Freebridge. The second is there are very clear government protocols in place for visits like this and a letter addressed to 'The Occupier' doesn't remotely meet them. I've copied the letter to the local press, complained to Freebridge and if their rep turns up he'll be discussing breaches of the Tier 4 regulations with the police. Just over a year later on Feb 9 2022 - At 8am there's a tap, tap, tappity tap (like playing a tune) on my front door. I'm disabled and not an early riser, and this is an unnotified visit as in cold calling. which is not allowed on these properties. So I ignored it but it went again and again. So I got up and looked in the front room to find someone wearing a high viz Dyson vest looking in through the window before going to try my side gate. This was the EPC! The short version is he came back to the front door where he was told if he didn't leave the police would be called - it was like dealing with an aggressive doorstep saleman. And the company attitude to the public is best summed up by the photo of one their vans I'm posting here. That's blocking an emergency access route and straddling a well-used footpath. The van was left there all afternoon. Interestingly, the following week it failed it's MoT because the rear brakes weren't working. Doesn't say much for their maintenance standards does it?
I would like to thank Michael who came to install my loft insulation, along with Ian who installed trickle vents and under door cutting from Dyson Energy services, following the GBIS application. Both arrived early and explained what the jobs entailed. They were courteous and helpful. From the initial contact with this company they have delivered excellent customer service along with any queries answered. Really appreciate the work that has been carried out.
Came out and fitted us a new boiler quite quickly but when we started having problems with it afterwards, their service went down hill. They sent two engineers out to look at it and said it was a problem with Worcester Bosch and they would refer it back to them. This didnt happen. We chased several times and each time got told a manager (Gary) would call us back, but he never did. Spoke to them again and they gave us the contact phone number for Worcester Bosch who said they hadnt been told of any problems with it and they are sending an engineer out today to look at it. Very disappointing post installation service from this company who also call their selves Gas Call.
A couple of weeks ago one of your subcontractors attended site for loft installation. Having moaned for 30 minutes and coming off the phone he said he couldn’t do the loft alone and it needed 2 people. I then had a call from his manager a few days later who arranged to come out to do another site surgery. A few days later he m the same manager followed up within another call to say he’d reviewed the photos supplied to him and “spoken with the powers that be” and “we” will definitely do the loft insulation but is won’t be an easy job. Again the same guy who initially attended site turned up whinging and whining again but this time with another person. Again he got on the phone and announced the loft couldn’t be done. I have been awaiting a call but haven’t and sent the content of this through but again haven’t heard anything therefore decided to do this. Your organisation has wasted my time on 2 desperate days which is unacceptable especially when I have had another 2 companies around who all say it can be done to a depth of 300mm. With what I gleaned from your sub contractor, he doesn’t get paid enough to do this job which is the crux of the issue. ——————————————- So a follow up. Still nothing from the person I initially complained to who had passed this on to “Michael” the Operations Director. Then responded to your request on hear to email sales which I did and again no response.
Initially contacted by Dyson Energy Services a number of months a go after we applied to the Great British Insulation Scheme through our energy supplier. We had to delay our initial survey due to a minor leak, but since then we have had three survey bookings cancelled- the final one on the day of the survey. I understand that the surveyor was ill, but the business should have put steps in place so that customers weren’t wasting their annual leave to be at home. After reading reviews about the poor quality of work, we’ve decided to forego the grant and find a more reputable company. I would not recommend Dyson.
If only zero stars were an option. Absolute waste of time. This company is about as close to Insulation specialists as I am to an Astro Physcists. They show up to our flat in London, with absolutely no plan of action for parking despite us mentioning parking is an issue in our area. Short of enough people to get the job done quickly and efficiently. Overheard Dave hassling the two guys over the phone who come to do the job, telling them they need to hurry up and get back to Northampton. Mind you we are 3 flights up and they are having to deal with immense traffic, other shop owners hassling them for parking space. Then carrying massive bails of fiberglass insulation all the way up 3 flights and then into the loft. On top of all of this, the guys are being threatened with having to pay parking fines from their own wages. Forgive me if I'm rong but that sounds like modern day slavery. Very unorganised and sloppy management. Dont treat their staff humamely either. Please stay far away especially if the job is any bigger than installing a flipping mouse trap.
I had Thermabead cavity wall installed by Jack from the Northampton branch of the company. I had the installation checked by a surveyor using a thermal imaging camera to check that there were no gaps in the insulation and therefore no thermal bridging. Everything was satisfactory. The insulation was offered at a competitive price and the installer was pleasant, efficient and tidied up well. Expect some dust when mortar is drilled. The only negative was the surveyor. He promised me a date in early January but went on his Christmas break without doing the necessary paperwork and the installation did not take place till two weeks later. The company apologised for this. I felt the benefit of the insulation almost immediately and I am really pleased with the result.
Back in October 2020 I had loft and cavity wall insulation conducted by Dyson Energy Services and called them two years later to ask for documentation to support that only 50% of cavity wall insulation was covered on the property and they were able to retrieve and email across by a representative named Michelle S. She was very polite, very professional and was helpful and supportive throughout and made it her aim to help me as best as she could. Greatly appreciate the after service care and the response. Great stuff, thank you to all involved.
Had a knock on the door a few months ago from this company saying they were working with the local council to provide homes with insulation with the ECO3 grant. Signed some documents and they left. Fast forward to a few weeks ago when I was contacted to say they were able to book us an appointment to get the insulation installed. Today they came and did that. They were in and out quickly this morning, seems like they did a good job. Pleased with the process. Hoping to deal with them again in the future as they said our electrically heated home would eventually be eligible for mains gas. But for now, yeah I am happy. It was unexpected but here we are. Thanks.
Cold called my home, and gave a pushy sales pitch regarding cavity wall insulation. Lied about a time limit on finding such a service, and suggested there were appointments with my neighbours. I independently checked their claims to ascertain the truth. Can't rate the service as I wouldn't trust lying pushy sales people, and certainly wouldn't invite them to drill holes in my walls. Avoid, dismiss, send away. The UK Gov site not only allows you to check your eligibility yourself, and apply for the same funding this company no doubt skims profit from, but also provides a list of Trust-mark accredited installers you can use instead. Don't get done.
I can only say good things about this company. They carried out our cavity wall installation and did a grand job. The house is so toasty always now. Every time I have spoken to their company they have always been professional. I raised something with the company which was quickly dealt with by the managing director Ian. The installers all did a fabulous job and you can tell they are passionate about what they do. I would recommend their services for cavity wall insulation. Post survey highlighted some things they could improve on which they then came the next day to resolve which was something they didn't have to do
Terrible, they did the survey, said the house qualified and gave me an installation date. I took a day off work, they didn't turn up and when I phoned them up they said that it didn't need cavity wall installation? My neighbours had their houses done a couple of years ago, now I'm left holes in the wall. Spoke to someone called Vicky who said i could get the gas boiler replaced instead..Guess what...no return call for an appointment. Don't waste your time
Really great service, lovely lady knocked on our door and explained about the ECO3 sceme which i had never heard of, but lucky she did as it saved me an immense amount on my cavity wall and loft insulation. The house feels warmer already, i would really like to thank all the team for the brilliant job they did. Cheers again. James
We had cavity wall installation after a chat with a really lovely guy who cold calls. After seeing old reviews we were sceptical but the company has been taken over and I’d recommend you take advantage. Our whole neighbourhood had something done and I cannot fault the service, customer care and quality of the work. Really happy and our house is warm and cosy.
We had some insulation removed from our property recently and this company came out to remove it. The person that contacted me to arrange a date was really helpful and polite and the lads that came out to remove it were great, they were helpful, professional, friendly and went out of their way to ensure everything was as it was before the removal. I couldn't have thanked them enough. I would definitely recommend this company after our experience
