Great experience from start to finish .

Richard has created 3 proposal and answered all my questions. When install time has come, Jack, Spenser and Brandon has done splendid job, super efficient and quick.the roof work - Brandon and Spenser done it in no time and it looks great. The cabling was done by Jack - very neat and done exactly as I asked for. The unit required remote firmware upgrade, so Jack stayed back to make sure it’s all perfect and demoed it to me. Thanks guys. Super. Would 100% recommend.

Excellent service

From our initial enquiry everything was explained clearly and several options and costings provided. We delayed making a final decision for 12 months but were never pestered or had pressure put upon us to go ahead. The installation was carried out with little disruption and all wiring and equipment installation done very neatly.

Outstanding from start to finish; from having an in depth consultation to physically having the system installed. The system has been quietly generating over the summer months (and in the sunny winter ones too). Gone is the stress of leaving the hot tub on or forgetting to switch a light off at the end of the night and getting fleeced by the energy company . My energy bill has dropped significantly saving me a fortune. Thank you DES.

Having a single company do the whole thing is a plus

Good explanation of the system by Oliver in the sales meeting. Actual installation took two days. Great job by Ben & Spencer on electricals and Stuart & Paul on roofwork. The scaffold was up a few days in advance and afterwards, total 8 days, which I gather is about normal, but bear that in mind if you don't like to leave a house unattended when it's covered in scaffolding. Ours survived Storm Goretti, so was obviously solid (even if the team did damage my cherry tree when they dismantled it!). I like the fact that the whole team are part of DES (except the scaffolders who were MM Scaffolding in my case), so you just have one point of contact both before and after installation. Documentation was comprehensive and timely, including all the necessary certificates. When trying to assess the payback it helps to understand discounted cash flow and do your own calculations. Simply dividing the price of the system by the annual savings will give an artificially short payback period. There are inevitably many major assumptions in the illustrations in the sales pack, which could affect payback by many years. Whether the system will increase the value of your house is also a matter of opinion. You need to make sure you get on an appropriate tariff. Oliver was supposed to contact me after the installation to give guidance on this, but never did. However, it didn't matter, because ours is a Fox system (battery plus inverter) and I can highly recommend the "TonyM1958 FoxESS-Cloud" page on the github website: (sorry, Trustpilot won't let me paste a link) for fantastic guidance on understanding and using the Fox app and even programming the system yourself if you want. We're on Octopus and can recommend them. They have tariffs specifically designed for solar systems. You get paid for exporting excess energy to the grid. This takes a few weeks to kick in. Ours hasn't yet, but everything else is looking good. Even in January we have been exporting quite a bit to the grid, and the battery charging/discharging and all other aspects of the system seem to be working very well.

Very good experience with DES Renewable Energy. They installed solar panels to a pitched roof on an end of terrace house with a solar battery as well for storage. Very good communication from the beginning. Project was completed on time and the installation team were great. I was able to ask questions as we went along eg location of battery installation. Very approachable and easy to communicate with. Very happy with the system installed - no issues at all.

Installation of solar panels and battery on terraced house

The communication with the team and being able to ask the questions that I was concerned about eg location of the battery and advice about the size of the solar panels was really good. Installation was well planned, installers were professional and all installed without issues as planned. Team were very good at answering questions throughout.

Efficient installation.

The installation was done efficiently with the scaffolding up for a minimum time. A slight hiccough with the invertor and its wi-fi signal meant a replacement was necessary, but this was quickly dealt with - and by the boss himself. Subsequently, after six months of satisfactory service we had to ask DES to make some adjustments to the batteries to function in freezing conditions and to take a charge from the grid at night. This was done easily and we continue to be delighted with the entire system. Thoroughly recommended.

Excellent service and installation of our solar system by DES. Cannot fault the quality of the information provided, the installation itself, the products installed and the continued follow up and monitoring.

Darren Hart's advise and information was excellent. Too early to see if estimates of Energy produced are accurate. Installation team were great except they had to remove all the panels when they discovered they had forgotten the Optimisers, but still all completed in a day. All packaging and rubbish was removed except for a few bits and pieces in the attic. Scaffolders arrived a day late due to a puncture and they took 3 weeks after installation to remove scaffolding.

Highly recommended, great service

I went to 10 businesses for quotes. The quote and survey process with DES was one of the most professsional, the pack they provided was thorough. The quote was not the cheapest, (but on company quoted without even asking for full details or coming to the house), but was lower than midpoint. The installation was done in a day and the engineer stayed behind to explain it all and set it up for us. They followed up to check it was all working and we were happy, (we were).

Go solar with DES renewables

DES renewables fitted our solar panels in August 2025. What a great company. Brilliant professional friendly staff, fantastic pre sale service and not a hint of hard sell. Any questions raised were answered very promptly. Clearly set out proposal for what was being done and individually priced with staged payments. Superb value for money and we are already benefiting from the sunshine reducing our electricity bill. Even in January we have had a couple of sunny days producing 10KWh and our energy bill has already reduced from £112 a month to £51.

Installation of Solar Panels and Batteries

We’ve recently had solar panels and batteries installed by DES Renewable Energy Ltd. We were kept fully informed throughout the process from survey to installation. Everything went to schedule. On completion, we were shown how to manage the solution. From a customer perspective, it would be useful to have a single point for all communications rather than different staff for each stage.

Cannot fault the service from this company, from 1st contact with James who was super informative and very knowledgeable. Every step was made clear and simple. The electrician Jack and roofer Brandon turned up on time despite snow, ice and freezing temperatures, they got the install completed on time and were very polite, helpful and tidied everything up once completed. Our first contact was with James who was very knowledgeable and informative and never pushy unlike some other companies. We were kept informed of every stage and everything was made clear and simple. We got helpful and sensible advice regarding the type of set up we would need. The hardware and software system is great (and all seems to be working very well - we are generating even in December's overcast conditions). Order processing was efficient as was obtaining the necessary authority to generate. All staff at DES are friendly, knowledgable and helpful. The survey, scaffold erection and subsequent system install went smoothly - DES were very flexible in adjusting the instal date due to last-minute probelms we found with our roof. There are so many companies to choose from and it can be very daunting to know who and what is best - I am glad we went with DES and would thoroughly recommend.

Having researched many Solar Companies, and also having 2 different companies visit my home, the only company that gave me confidence was DES Renewable Energy. From the initial consultation with Darren, to the final sign off with Jordan I felt I was in safe hands. Even with a few minor issues on the project ( one of which was beyond DES RENEWABLE ENERGY’s control….part from China) the team were great. I would have no problem recommending DES RENEWABLE ENERGY to family and friends.

DES were helpful and communicative throughout the quotation and design stage. The system choice fits perfectly with our needs and the price was very competitive against the market. Couumincation continued to be good leading up to, and following installation. Install itself went smoothly, with roof works completed in a morning and a couple of days for the excellent electrician (Rob) to connect everything up. Rob's install included setting us up on the GivEnergy portal. Great experience overall and have already recommended to others.

The service and support I received from DES Renewable was second to none. From my original enquiry to the final installation they helped me all the way. When I first started to look into solar power i spoke to a number of companies, in most instances, apart from DES, I was dealt with buy a call centre, then all i had were phone calls trying to push me into their system, most times there was an additional discount if I signed up there and then, very pushy. DES never tried to push me into a deal, they answered all my questions, provided professional advise. The survey, installation team and office team were very good.

DES were outstanding from first contact to completion of my installation. The initial discussions and design phase were interactive and addressed our needs completely. The proposal was thorough and the level of detail at a level the other providers were approached didn’t match. The whole process was managed effectively by DES and I always felt reassured and informed that I could talk directly to people directly responsible for their part in the project. Installation was much quicker than anticipated and the finished product is exactly as we hoped. All legal certificates and approvals were received together in a single document and after service care offered. Delighted were chose DES for our solar and battery installation and were highly recommend them.

I would highly recommend DES Renewables for solar panels. They were very informative in explaining how all the installation process would be. If there was a delay they always called at 9am and informed me to save waiting all day. If I needed to talk to someone it was not a problem and the workmen left everything clean and tidy.

Fantastic. Right from the start, Oliver was open and honest about the process of getting solar panels and honest about the potential financial implications. By that, I mean, he said it might not be cost effective. Therefore, he showed us projected energy income/outcome and we were then able to make an informed decision. We’ve had them about 6 months now and my bills are less than they were when I include the loan payments for the panels. The only minor negative, out of DES hands, would be the third party scaffold company who made a right mess of our garden and kept changing the date. Other than that, I’d wholeheartedly recommend going with DES renewables if you are considering solar.

It's early days but I have to say I am unsure why I didn't do this many years ago... Oh yeah because of cost. DES have transformed how I view electricity usage. Fact based evidence supplied by the team at DES convinced me to invest for the future. Process to get the panels and battery went smoothly with always being kept up to date on progress and the installation was faster and simpler than I imagined. DES Renewable Energy are excellent. They came out to quote, did diligent checks to make sure they provided the best system for us, and took the time to explain everything after installation. They're large enough to provide a great service, but also small enough to care and look after the customer properly. I was quoted double of what DES Renewables offered hence I chose to go with them for the Same or even better system. I would highly recommend them to you all. The quality of work has been top notch.
