Little tramp pulled into our estate because he hit something prior, so was checking the van. Once checked, chucked a can out the window and drove over it. See photo

Fabulous service. I called Richard on Monday for a quote to top up my loft insulation. It was fitted on Thursday. The house was left spotless. Thanks so much Richard and team 😀

New Boiler Installed.

Had several survey visits from Richard and Cameron, then install of a new boiler over two days. Very pleased with their helpful and friendly attitude. They both worked their 'socks off' during install. Two great guys!

Fantastic customer service until it's been fitted! Don't reply to emails! Fitted hive hub between pipes under boiler( clearly states in instruction to not install within a meter of boiler or near metal pipes) so hive doesn't work due to no signal! So I have to go into garage to turn on or off. Not ideal for someone disabled. They don't brother replying to emails so have no intention of fixing the problem!

Unfortunately they damaged a radiator and left it leaking for months since May. Some contact to sort it out but now they have gone quiet and left me with a radiator in my sitting room that won't work for the winter. Other work was good but seriously not worth the risk of damage to my property.

Appalling I am writing this review to highlight some issues I faced when contacting this company. I was at first excited for the first appointment where a technician inspects the property to see what you could be eligible for. It can take up to 1.5 hours and I was given a 4 hour time slot. I booked the day off, and he didn’t show up. So I called again to book in a couple weeks later when I was free, booked it in and again- took time off and he didn’t show. No correspondence throughout all of this. I have just got off the phone with a member of the team where I was informed these appointments were cancelled due to my council not offering the FLEX scheme. Now I completely understand this is out of NEIS’ control however I would’ve appreciated at minimum a text informing me this was cancelled. I asked to put in a complaint so further training can be given on informing clients of cancellations but i was told ‘no, what would you gain anyway’. Appalling.

Brilliant company , friendly,efficient in all work carried out new boiler, insulation and window vents fitted, left all clean and tidy,special shout out to Alistair who kept us informed at all stages of the job, such an asset to the company.

Insulated my elderly parents loft and they missed big gaps and it was a shoddy job. They also damaged their boiler and denied it at a cost of £300 which my parents had to pay. I definitely wouldn't recommend them.

Disappointing Boiler Installation

In 2024, I had a new boiler installed by NE Insulation Services along with the renewal of the loft insulation. The engineers who attended were always polite, considerate and fairly tidy and the work began promptly. However, the job took several months to complete due to the following issues; Poor communication between the teams. For example, the office staff telling me a time/date for engineers to attend, then telling the team something different. On one occasion, the engineer simply didn’t attend and when I contacted the office, they were unable to locate him or make contact with him. There was no explanation for this non- attendance and no further appointments were forthcoming. In addition, despite an initial survey during which I requested that the new boiler be relocated during installation (at extra cost), the engineer who attended had not been informed. Poor communication between the office staff and me. This included emails, and phone calls, none of which I received. On several occasions, my emails were not acknowledged nor replied to. Disorganisation including the engineer attending without sufficient parts to do the work despite having carried out a site survey. In addition, a member of the team having to attend to recheck whether or not wall insulation was needed, despite this being done at the time of the survey. Poor workmanship during the installation of the boiler. This included; • the external condensate pipe being of insufficient size bore. • the external condensate pipe being uninsulated. The engineer gave me reassurance three times that the pipe was a special one that didn’t freeze. • the downpipe into which the condensate pipe drained being left swinging in the wind as it wasn’t fixed sufficiently. • Some valves replaced on the radiators not working Following installation, NEIS were very hurried in signing off the job and it was very difficult to get the above remedial work completed. This was despite another engineer eventually attending and agreeing that it all needed to be rectified. After several weeks, during which time I contacted NEIS several times, (including addressing emails to the director) I eventually resorted to contacting the Gas Safe Register Inspector for help. On attending, the Inspector agreed that the above work was not up to standard. In addition, he discovered that; • The condensate pipe where it went through the wall was not of sufficient bore. Not to current standards. • The condensate pipe where it went through the wall was not insulated. Not to current standards. • There was a pressure loss of 3.8mbr between the gas meter and the inlet to the boiler. Not to current standards. • External overflow pipe not safely returned towards the wall. Not to current standards. The report was submitted to NEIS with a deadline date for completion. Following receipt, I was offered an appointment at very short notice (late afternoon offer for attendance at 8am the following morning). The appointment was rearranged for the following week; the engineer attended and rectified the work designated as not to current standards. Although, some of the valves on the radiators continue to malfunction.

Had my loft insulation, windows gaps, extractor fan, radiator valves done. Plumbers were very good, neat clean job, good work with roof insulation. I was asking for a hole in my wall in the kitchen fan to be put above the cooker, the guy did it on 50cm away :( ( maybe its a building regulations). Had to contact to arrange radiator valves installation, due to no show, but 2 days later after call, job is done by someone else from company. I'm happy with the work overall.

The guys seem decent enough but professionalism leaves a lot to be desired. Fitted a new heating system, etc. but broke one of my smoke alarms AND a radiator bleed screw. They would never admit to it but it's clearly something I don't go about my house doing myself. Being unable to bleed a radiator means there is now a permanent air lock in the system, makes it all pretty useless.

I am due to have a boiler fitted Monday. I have been dealing with North East Insulations for quite a few weeks now. They have been wonderful, helpful and professional. However there is one person in particular who I must mention and that is Jessica. She has been absolutely fantastic and was just the right person I needed at a difficult time. In this crazy world it is so refreshing to find someone who really cares. Thank you so much to you all but especially to Jessica.

Just had some work done at my property in Berwick upon Tweed (new boiler, attic lagging, window vents and radiator valves). Fantastic job completed by Connor, Layton, Gavin, Richard, Cameron and Henry. They even clean up after themselves and took away all of their rubbish. Great job, thanks again.

Had window vents, loft insulation and ventilation unit fitted by these guys today.... ( Dave, Gavin and Connor respectively). Did a great job. Very polite and proffessional.....( a rareity these days.)..I would recommend 100%

Excellent speedy work carried out by professionals. New boiler installed, smart valves on radiators. Cavity wall insulation completed, awaiting loft insulation. P.I.V Unit installed. Many thanks to Henry for fixing bedroom window and fitting trickle vents on windows

I’m having work done at this very second, Window vents completed by Henry, excellent job cleaned up, Good Lad, this is a good set of lads doing this work on my Home, explain everything to you, good company quality workmen comes with a quality Company. I’m recovering from Cancer so a very big Help. Following day, boiler installation, Dan, Owen, Will, turned up and worked all morning, again Excellent work. Big Thank You

I have had someone attend to fit trickle vents on my windows last week and then two further people to install cavity wall insulation and loft insulation yesterday. All 3 were very professional, polite and friendly. They answered all questions I had and were tidy and respectful in my house. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Terrible company. Working at our neighbours. Rude, messy, dropping cigarette ends everywhere. Filled the shared passage with stuff so we couldn’t access our property without climbing over stuff. Working in the street. Our disabled son was housebound while they were here. Absolute disgrace

Came to do cavity wall insulation trickle vents smart controls and kitchen and bathroom vents. Guy who tried to fit the smart controls could not get them to work so just left the old one in place and the lads that did the cavity wall insulation made a mess of the bricks that where taken out and there was a noise from kitchen fan when I investigated the vent pipe was 6 foot long squeezed into the space between the cavities

The whole team were professional, polite, friendly and efficient. The lads did a great job of insulating the loft, installing the new boiler, bleeding all radiators and fitting new valves, installing an extract fan in the kitchen and neat trickle vents on the windows. We were really happy with them and highly recommend this company. Top marks!
