Just what was needed

Callum Kerr came in person rather than just look at my roof from Google Earth. There was no pressure and no underhand sales tactics (unlike other salesmen). He clearly knew his stuff. The survey he did was very factual (no over-promising), and did his best to find ways to maximise the number of panels. He was also extremely patient in answering all my questions. It was a real pleasure to deal with him. He genuinely listened to my requests and where possible made them happen. The Carbon Saving group were very flexible to my needs, and true to their word and beat others on price. The panels and battery were installed in a day, and within weeks of agreeing. The installation team were good as well. I'm extremely pleased with the installation and quality of everything. I'm looking forward now to reducing my energy bills.

No hard sell

Callum came to my property and worked to try to find the best battery solution for my ( non standard) solar array. Very informative/ no hard sell/ genuine customer centred advice.

Excellent Professional Salesman - Callum Kerr

I, like many other people, saw a piece about 'free solar power installations' based on what transpired to be false promises. However, one of the many contacts I received was from Callum Kerr and he explained the problem about the false promises (designed to collect data then made availble to a range of solar energy installers), did not pressure me (unlike some of the other responses I received) but delivered three preliminary options based upon our dialogue. Based upon his valued input I did not go ahead with any supplier but were I to change my mind - he would be the person I would call.

Extra battery installation

Engineer turn up on time with all equipment and install in hours. Ran me through all settings on computer and was happy with advise. Very happy with price and work.

Underperforming System and Unreliable suport

I regret choosing Carbon Saving Group for my PV system. Not only has the system underperformed from the start, but the installation wasn't even completed on the day. They forgot to install the earthing rod, and I had to chase them afterwards to come back and finish the job - something that should never happen with a professional installer. Support since then has been just as frustrating. They respond to emails when they feel like it, and when they do there is no urgency or meaningful help. This company might be fast to take your money, but their aftercare is poor, communication is inconsistent, and they clearly don't prioritise customer satisfaction once the install is done. Carbon Saving Group talks a good game but in reality, you're left with an incomplete, underperforming system which you paid thousands of pounds for, and a company that doesn't stand by its work. Very dissapointing.

very poor after sales

very poor after sales. System doesn`t even do my hot water. I wasn`t shown how it works. Only got a few texts when i asked about it. Waste of money was actually June 23 just given up with the whole thing

I had my solar panels and battery installed back in June 2024 and was very pleased with the service. My app initially worked when the engineer was here but since then I have been unable to use my app. I have no way of monitoring how much my solar panel and battery are charging! Despite numerous attempts to request Carbon Saving to come back and sort problem nobody turns up. I have also spoken to Grren Energy who say speak to the installers. I have now configured and change so many times I don’t know where it’s going wrong. I feel Carbon Energy after care has been very disappointing. Still can get the app to work!!

Solar panels

Although I haven't yet decided whether to have solar oanels installed, I found Callum to be extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He gave me several options to consider, showed me all the configurations and also advised me about my electricity tariff. I would recommend anyone to have a chat with him if you are considering this sort of system. Absolutely no pressure to buy and will only follow up if asked to do so, so no unwanted calls.

Rapid response

From the outset, James was very helpful in guiding me through my requirements in a heat pump hot water system. My old system completely failed and cold showers exacerbated by health problems. The team prioritised my solar rebate (a big shout-out to James who got the ball rolling) and installation. The new system was installed by friendly qualified tradesmen. Nothing seemed too much trouble, and my old bones are very grateful for the rapid response.

Really good customer service

Although we didn't end up proceeding with the quotation, we were really impressed by Callum during his visit. He was thorough and spent a lot of time talking us through the plans and options available.

Highly professional

Contacted Carbon Zero to get a quote on loft insulation and Callum came to do a survey. He kept me informed about his time of arrival and was highly professional, but still very personable, during his entire visit. He explained everything in plain English without any techno babble and advised without being in the slightest bit pushy. I got a quote during his visit and he was quick to answer questions in the days afterwards as and when they came up. All in all, a total pleasure to deal with How refreshing!

My experience with Carbon Saving Group from the start was excellent. The people in the office were helpful and polite and made everything clear and understandable. Great service from a very efficient company. I’m now very excited to start generating my own solar energy. Just 2.5 days to install battery, 18 panels and all the other components. Great work from start to finish was a little concerned at first but Tom put my mind at ease , installation guys where great very clean and tidy delighted with the result thanks to Niel and the boys who worked all day in the rain

We approached Carbon Saving Group with a specific specification of what we wanted for a 6kW Solar PV installation complete with 15kW of lithium batteries. Tom was the only supplier to actually come out to site and visit us before quoting, he was also one of the few who responded to our enquiry within a fairly short timescale, funnily enough he subsequently ended up getting the job! One of our particular concerns was the overall look and atheistic of the solar panels on the roof of our house. CSG were one of the few suppliers able to offer the GSE "in-roof" system, which allows the slates or tiles to be removed and for the solar panels to sit flush in the roof as part of it. We are very pleased we went with this system, not only is it watertight it also looks really good. Apart from the aesthetics we also had specific requirements regarding the hardware we wanted to use in the installation. CSG took all this in their stride...even though some of the hardware was new to them and outside of their normal scope, they worked with us and the manufacturers to get us the system we wanted installed. We are very pleased with the final outcome and thanks must go to the whole team, for putting up with us over over the job but especially to Neil, Mike, Kodi and Tom. Thank you!

Fantastic job from carbon saving group Had solar installed would highly recommend carbon saving group. Brilliant service from callum the surveyor visiting to kodi organising our installation and mike and his team doing a great job with the installation all kept to timing agreed got the job completed in 2 days even though the weather wasnt great they still cracked on with a smile on their face.

We have waited 3 weeks for an appointment. We were told the salesman would call half an hour before arriving. We have waited in all afternoon but sadly no phone call and no salesman. We even called and left an answer phone message to try and find out if they were coming or not. We had no response. This is completely unprofessional and a disgraceful lack of courtesy. It takes no time at all to make a phone call to cancel an appointment. It gives us no confidence whatsoever in this company. Edit. We have now received a call. A deeply apologetic salesman said there was a mix up with who was supposed to call and they are a small company who are very busy due to the government scheme.

On 15/6/20 my new boiler was fitted . I have been thrilled with the service ! A very professional and remarkably “clean “ job . Everything explained in an easy to understand way and easy to use thermostat . I am so impressed with the service that I wanted to reassure others that this company is reliable and professional . They did everything from paperwork to installation doing exactly as described ... I felt treated with respect for every question I asked . The whole team have been fantastic !!Thankyou very much!!

Not a scam! They replaced my boiler, and added cavity wall insulation and extra loft insulation! For free!! Their very professional and polite and quick to act and communicate.

Should be called the money saving group! turned up at my door offering a free boiler, my boiler hasnt worked for 10 years. within a week they fitted the boiler and installed some extra rads all for free. thanks to mike, phil and tom. great work and looking forward to winter.

Fantastic Experience. Lovely gentleman turned up at my door, offered me a free boiler with a government incentive scheme. After looking into it a little further and to my delight, it turned out to be true. Within 2 weeks, I had my new boiler installed, FOR FREE... Excellent service throughout, good customer contact & care, qualified professionals used for the installation. Would have no hesitation in recommending them in the future.
