Solar PV Tech installed our solar panels, inverter, battery and gateway last year. They also reinforced our roof structure, replaced the roofing material (which was well overdue) and dug in new conduits under the garden to take power and data cables prior to installing the solar panels. From the first survey through to the final installation the whole team were both professional and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and they overcame any challenges with ease due to their extensive experience and can-do attitudes. Their scaffolding and digger contractors were also very friendly and professional too. They did a lovely job on the roof replacement first and the panels are very neat as well. Overall we are very pleased with the installation and have been generating plenty of green energy, even during the winter months. Our electricity bill is now massively reduced even after 7 months. I would highly recommend this local firm to anyone considering a green energy project for their home or business.

We’ve recently had a solar installation carried out at The Freedom Centre by Solar PV Tech. This process has taken us a while due to factors outside of the control of Solar PV Tech and yet they couldn’t have been more helpful along the way. Nothing was too much trouble for them so in the lead up to the installation my experience was first class. I thought it couldn’t get better but my experience of the installation was amazing. Highly professional, prompt and very efficient. I give them 10/10 for everything. Very happy customer.

Having recently had Solar PV + battery AND an air source heat pump installed near Braunton i can highly recommend this local team. All made very simple and easy to navigate, from the initial visit we received a prompt and detailed quotation. With a great price and reputation we gave the go ahead and despite our hectic schedules within a few weeks it was done. The panel install team worked under threat of a brewing storm in some pretty rough weather to get the job done. Solar PV Tech made the whole installation process simple for me. An easy to follow, very competitive quote followed by a very quick turnaround on installation. Thoroughly recommended.

Excellent service, the gas boiler packed up just as we were about to replace with air source pump. Solar PV fitted a new hot water tank early to allow us hot water prior to the rest of the work taking place.

I used Solar PV tech and had solar panels fitted. They were local which I think is so much better than a national faceless company. I had great comms before during and after. They fitted it on the day they booked. Did a great job and I was pleased with the price. I am now saving money on electricity every day. I think in summer it will be free all the way. Thanks

Solar PV Tech were recommended to us by two families in the village as being local, reliable and wallet friendly. From initial contact to completion took less than a month, with all the information we requested being provided to help us to make the decision, without any pressure whatsoever. The work was carried out expertly and at minimum inconvenience to us. The price was excellent too. We are already seeing the benefits of the system even with the weather we've been having over the 6 weeks since the installation was done in mid-December. Definitely one of the best decisions we've made and I would wholeheartedly recommend Solar PV Tech.

Great service from the team at Solar PV Tech. They installed my solar panels and battery when they said. The team onsite were efficient and friendly. The admin team handled paperwork and the necessary forms needed for my energy supplier really well. The system operation and app were setup and explained clearly. I recommend them completely.

We are extremely pleased with the panels, battery and inverter which were fitted in March 2024 to our house. Performance is as sold to us by Solar Tech with our electricity bill now greatly reduced. Attention to detail by the Surveyor and Fitters is a strong point of the company, with care being taken to ensure cabling was run through difficult roof voids so that there is no exposed cabling in the house or on the roof. Another positive is Solar Tech being able to remotely monitor our system so that if a fault arises (none to date) it can be quickly fixed as they are just down the road. Price wise- very competitive. Look no further – Solar PV are fantastic! We worked with them on both our GSHP and solar installations, and couldn’t be happier. From the very start, Max stood out with his knowledge, clear explanations of available funding, and his approachable manner. Once we appointed Solar PV, Olivia kept everything running smoothly with regular updates and efficient organisation. On-site, Brett (GSHP) and Jim (solar) were personable, professional, and clearly very experienced – a pleasure to have around. We even got to meet Brett’s dog, Wally, which was an added bonus! Solar PV is a lovely, tight-knit company delivering phenomenal work, and they continue to provide excellent support for first-time GSHP and solar users like us. Work all done in 1 day (16 panels) very neat and tidy, no mess left and fully explained as to how everything operated. No hesitation in recommending them for anyone considering solar or upgrading their current equipment.

After having a close shave with a solar installation company associated to a major national energy company and then being shunned by some other local companies, I discovered Solar PV Tech about 18 months ago. Ralph provided a quick, no hassle quote after explaining all the options. Their technicians fitted the panel and battery system which has worked faultlessly ever since. Having realised the benefits, we've wanted more. So it was the obvious thing to return to them and have a second battery fitted. Jack came out, what a pleasant guy. His work was neatly done and organised very quickly by the company. Now to reap even more benefits. The company can't be faulted. Highly recommended. They have fitted 18 panels, inverter, I-boost and two batteries. Win, win..... UPDATE..... this system has been superb, the ability to reduce monthly outgoings and save is addictive. So I've recently asked the company to upgrade my inverter and add an EV charger. Once again, all done to a very high standard. Cant recommend them high enough.

Quality job from 'a small family business'. I had several quotes for a solar panel system. I went with a cheaper option (BIG MISTAKE). Once I had extricated myself from that error, I accepted Solar PV Tech's quote and their process started. Ralph was a knowledgeable salesman and the company did not chase me forever for my decision. Once I accepted their quote I always spoke to very personable (family members) in the office who were also knowledgeable when answering my queries. I visited their premises (unusual I think) to pay the installments. (I was hyper-sensitized due to my experience with the first company!) There was a slight glitch when I was deciding where to locate the inverter and battery but quickly resolved. Scaffolding company excellent and it was not an easy job for them. Installation day arrived as did the Solar PV Tech team (6-7 people) who all introduced themselves to me. Installation was Day 1 with Jim, the electrician, returning for Day 2. He didn't leave until I was comfortable with how the system was and knew how to use the associated app (with which I am now obsessed and check frequently!) After installation, I needed someone to come to check something on the roof and someone came around the same day as they were aware of the issue. The scaffolding was removed within a week. I've also called them with a question since and they've been happy to assist. My learning was that in situations like this you get what you pay for. They were quality and when you're messing around with electricity and your roof, quality is important.

Solar PV Tech are friendly and highly professional. Came out and did a site survery and took the time to answer all my questions. When faced with a small hitch with the install of the panels, they dealt with it efficiently and without any drama. If you are looking for a Solar PV install, these guys come hightly recommended.

Solar Tec Devon have just installed 16 solar panels and batteries to our property. Cannot praise them enough, from the moment they gave us the quotation, the company have been really professional and done an amazing job. All the staff have been really pleasant and helpful. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

I always try to leave a balanced review for others to read and there is a slight negative but it was massively outweighed by the positives. The only solar quote to personally visit. Ralph offered impartial advice for both future proof and basic solar systems. The quote was the most reasonable and included a detailed description of each item breakdown. A 6KW inverter was fitted with permission from the grid that Solar PV Tech sorted on my behalf. Scaffolding lads were top notch and they let us have the scaffolding up for longer so I could replace fascia boards. The slight negative was a mistake with recognising the deposit come through so there was a slight delay with fitting. Honestly it mattered not because the contact, quality and professionalism from start to finish was superb. My thanks to the whole team. I’m proper geeky with how many KW I’m pulling from the grid!

We couldn’t be happier with the service we received from Solar Pv Tech Devon. From initial visit all the way through the fitting they were professional, friendly and so so efficient! We now have a woodburner fitted in time for Christmas and it’s like it’s always been there. Thankyou so much :-)

A Quote was provided for air to air heat pump a system that…

A Quote was provided for a system that exceeded electrical supply for the building. According to the installation electrician the installation as quoted would constantly trip the circuit and would prevent use of any other electrical items in the building. On 26th June 2023. A single unit was installed, mounted on an external wall and a compromised location indoors. The Air to Air units could not be fitted in the previously agreed and measured sites , neither external nor internal . I was assured pre installation that the unit had a timer to set regular operating times however this is not the case. It has to be set up daily.aftet seeking a solution to this I eventually contacted Samsung engineers via the help desk who told me that this could be achieved with a hard wired controller to replace the remote control. I have just received November 15th a quote for at least £320 plus travel time at £47 per hour to make my installation work in the way it was sold to me as functioning. In other words to put right something that was mis-sold in the first place.

Cant fault SolarPVTech. Been professional all the way through the process, from the survey and quote, no hard sell, worked out usage etc. When we did decide to go forward several months later the had everything arranged to go within a couple of weeks, everyone turned up when they needed to and got the job done. Couple of teething issues but all it took was a phone call and the engineers came round the next day to sort it (turned out it was my error anyway). Would happily recommend.
