I’ve struggled to find an electrician to carry out electrical works on shop front signage recently. I contacted HIKO & everything was taken care of quicker than I could have hope for. This wasn’t a massive money maker of a job for them, but that didn’t seem to matter to the efficiency, professionalism & fair pricing for the work that was carried out.

Spoke to Ed who sent Josh from his team to help us that very same day when we had an unexpected outage at home. Super friendly team who sorted the issue really efficiently and offered suggestions of potential improvements that we could make to the electrics going forward. Would recommend and use them again!

Ed and his team did a great job, kept the place clean and minimised the time the electric was off so not to impact my ability to work from home. My name is Dave Felton and I have ran my own construction business in Hertfordshire since 1999. I moved to Verwood in 2023 and obtained planning permission to build a new house. I needed to employ new local tradesmen and Hiko Electricians were recommended to me. I phoned them in the morning and on the same day Ed the director met me on site. I explained that I ran my own business and needed a professional and competent electrician to work with. I talked through the job with Ed and he straight away gave me the confidence that his company was the right one to carry out my electrical project. He talked through everything with me on the drawings and also suggested some additional items which I may need which was really helpful. I received a quotation the next day which was very competitive. I didn’t obtain any other quotes as being in the industry a knew how much the electrical work should be. I then appointed Ed to carry out the work and agreed a start date. I explained that the job would need to be carried out in two stages, the first floor and then the ground floor at a later date. Ed and his team arrived as agreed to carry out the first fix and worked extremely efficiently using laser levels to ensure all sockets and down lights were level and straight. They return to site after 3 months and carried out the second fix. The work was completed very professionally and without any problems. His team were great guys to work with and very polite. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again in the future and highly recommend them to anyone who reads this review. I asked Ed to quote to fix a security light above my front door and additionally to sort out a couple of switches on the top and bottom landings. The quote was provided the same day and the work was completed on schedule a few days later. I would have no hesitation in recommending Ed and his team.

I hired Ed and his team to bring an old house up to modern standards with a full rewire, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the experience. From start to finish, they were professional, personable, and incredibly accommodating. I can strongly recommend HIKO Electrical Services Ltd. I have known Ed the owner since 2019, and he has done numerous work for me er the years. He is friendly, has a great work ethic and his prices are always very reasonable. He’s very knowledgeable and willing to take the time and trouble to explain in layman’s terms what he’s going to do. The most recent job he’s done for me was installing a Hive. Everything was very satisfactory.

I can't recommend Hiko Electrical Services highly enough – What really stands out is their urgent call out speed, competitive pricing and care taken with work. I have had the below jobs completed by Hiko Electrical Services to the highest of standard and the team are always professional, tidy, clearly very experienced and communication is always excellent throughout. - Urgent call out due to a blown fuse which set off the Burglar alarm a 20:00pm and I didn’t know the reset code! The team arrived within 30 minutes and saved my whole road from the loud noise of the screeching alarm. - New bathroom extractor fan fitted in the attic as previous fan was rubbish and didn’t pull in steam - Fitted electric mirror in bathroom - Disconnected an outdoor electrical supply to a rotten summer house - Replaced 2 smoke alarms - Changed multiple light fittings

Ed has been my go-to electrician for some years. He always finds a way and can advise on solutions including (for us) intermittent faults on lights, extending electrics for under stairs porch and loft plus the usual run of broken or replacement light fittings and sockets. Ed even managed to repair my favourite irreplaceable bedside wall light. The apprentices are also very good, very personable and all work is clean and tidy. It's so reassuring to know that you have a good reliable electrician to call on.
