Wonderful after sales ! We live in Shelter Housing in Hawick . Got up thisMorning to a Fridge Freezer not working . Within a few hours , the Hawick shop had organised 2 fine young men to deliver a replacement. Unbelievable service . It pays to SHOP LOCAL .Merry Christmas to all your Staff and a safe New Year . An outstanding company. Recently came out to my mother in Galashiels to fix a cooker issue and provided an excellent service.

Great service needed something urgently for an exhibition set up and they sorted me out. Will use again for sure!

Won't be using them again, have been a customer of Stewarts in the past and like to shop locally, my wife recently phoned to enquire about what tumble dryers they had in stocks, a reasonable and simple enquiry you would have thought, unfortunately the response from the lady who answered the phone was (the shop is very busy and can't check the stock go on the Internet and view items yourself) , not I'll phone you back in a couple of minutes with an answer, which you would expect, So we went on the Internet and purchased one from amazon, sales assistant needs a bit of customer service training.

Probably one one the worst companies I've dealt with with constant excuses and lies. My call was placed 8 weeks ago to fix my freezer. Having taken a day off, the engineer didn't bother to turn up as he should have called me to cancel. Then when he did turn up a week later, was told the simple part he took away was easy to replace. Weeks later heard nothing. Then the guy was off on holiday, then off sick then the part was ready and I took another day off. Again, didn't bother to turn up. Now I'm told the part needs "pipes" and can't be fixed. 8 weeks on and this is the result. It's just lies and they can't be bothered. The worst company ever and the communication is dreadful. Emails are rude, staff are useless and to be honest I don't know why people use them. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE AND THE LIES

Excellent service from a well run local firm. Have used these guys three times now. Twice for a repair to a fridge-freezer, and then for a replacement for the same after the original was deemed kaput. Always turned up when they said they would and the guys who put in the new fridge (and removed the - large - old one) were first class. Got both in and out up and down some tricky windy stairs with no issues at all. Highly recommended.

Excellent service from James Strwart's electrician. Fridge and freezer fitted on 1st floor. Very tricky stairs and he managed on his own. Will definitely recommend this shop.

Phoned up on the 5th of jan about a broken washing machine! Engineer came out said it needed a new drum and nothing has been for almost a month now! Kept phoning up and the woman on the phone was rude kept sighing! Issues getting parts apparently then phoned back and we weren't booked in for a repair!!! Ended up just getting a new washing machine! Deffo do not recommend

Rang up at short notice, very helpful and a great price. Delivered on time,removed old fridge freezer , installed new fridge freezer installation team very friendly and helpful. WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND.

Called to request washing machine repair over a week ago - nothing from them, no updates. Even when I cancelled the call they didn't appear to care. If you are in need - i would try somewhere else, or do what we did and just buy a new one from other company. Not a great experience dealing with this place sadly. Couldn't recommend at all.

Just delivered my White goods after my house move They were faultless. Arrived on time. Plumbed everything in and we’re very competitive on price. Easy to see why everyone in Kelso uses them

In rented accommodation. Had to have smoke alarms checked. Had a lovely down to earth chap who reinstalled alarms plus extra. He even noticed and fixed my kitchen light without me mentioning. Outstanding service.

Huge thank you to James Stewart's. My fridge freezer broke down late last night, I telephoned this morning for any information that may have been left on the answering machine during this lock down period and was surprised and delighted to hear that Stewart's were still carrying out repairs and deliveries. I duly left a message and Damien rang me back we had a look online and I decided on a new suitable fridge freezer and it was delivered within the hour excellent professional service from a local dealer can't thank them enough.

Our washing machine died yesterday just before the national lockdown.I went in to Stewarts to buy a replacement and asked Damian the Manager if there was any possibility of it being delivered today, Monday,. He said he would try and sure enough at 3.30pm two staff appeared with a brand new washing machine which was fitted and the old machine taken away, al in the space of half and hour. Fantastic service from Stewarts, speed and efficiency and everything ok again. Many many thanks Damian and all your collegues

Just built a new house, so have used Stewart's for Solar Install, electrical installation, including building regs sign off, followed by appliance purchase. I cannot fault them. The solar install was performed very efficiently. Electrical install and testing was again very efficient. Finally I purchased all my appliances, they were well informed and with prices pretty much matching online, I get the best of both worlds, national pricing with local backup.

Atrocious customer service. Tried to get a repair for washer dryer. Lady you runs the repair department is rude, tries to finish the call every sentence and couldn’t care less that I waited 5 weeks for repair. Engineer was nice man but twice he said he had fixed machine but it didn’t work at all so not sure of his competence levels. Also spare part was on his desk for two weeks without him coming out to replace part (2/3 days snow blocked road). I even spoke to the owner of the company and he was most unhelpful. Eventually a new machine is being sent by the manufacturer but the engineer had to submit his report twice due to missing info holding up the process further. Avoid

Very impressive. The staff, both office and electrical, were polite and efficient. I asked for an got a next day service. Peter, the electrician, turned up at 8:05am and went through the house professionally and logically until the fault was found. I would definitely use this company again.

Great service from this company. Bought new washing machine this morning-installed this afternoon. Helpful friendly staff-will use for all domestic purchases in the future and happy to recommend.
