As the on-site buildings manager of a private residential estate, I have had the pleasure of working with the Cambridge roofers company, in the removal of the failed bullnose edge detail of our flat asphalt roof. I would like to give special thanks to Lewis ( site foreman) Ben and Brandon of the Cambridge roofers company for carrying out this huge task. The respect they showed to our 111 residents and the respect to the grounds of the estate was nothing but amazing with nothing but good compliments given by our residents. I couldn’t give these three guys enough praise, it was a pleasure to have them on-site and I hope to work with Lewis,Ben and Brandon hopefully on phase two of the roof project in 2026. Cambridge Roofers recently completed a full re-roof of my house and also installed loft insulation. I could not be happier with the result. The quality of the work is excellent, and it was clear throughout that the team are highly skilled and take great pride in what they do. They were professional, friendly, and extremely hard working from start to finish. Communication was clear and straightforward, and the whole process was made easy and stress free. The attention to detail and workmanship are of a very high standard, and the finished roof looks superb. Excellent service, communication & work. I’ve no hesitation in recommending Cambridge Roofers. I have dealt with two so-called (Cambridge) Premier roofers over the years and neither of them are a match for the standard of work and expertise delivered by Cambridge Roofers. From the initial survey by Sean, to the work completed by Lou, Ash and Luke on the flat roof. And then the team working on the pitched roof ensured every element was completed within timeframe with the team remaining on site until 9 o’clock on a Friday evening to get the work finished. Cambridge Roofers installed a 7 kW roof-integrated solar pv system with integrated Velux roof windows, and then enclosed the whole system with a new tiled roof. The specification planning and consultation phase was thorough, and the quality of the workmanship outstanding. Particular credit goes to Ryan (solar) and Simon (roofing/Velux) who were truly amazing, and great to liaise with on site. Thoroughly recommend George and his team.

Although we haven't had any work done by Cambridge Roofers, they have been helping advise us navigate a tricky situation. Embarrassingly, we seem to have fallen prey to what appears to be a rogue trader, who kept pressurising us into doing more and more repairs to our roof, after being called out to do something relatively minor. George, the managing director, called me straight away after I sent an enquiry to his company about wanting a second opinion of these escalating works and costs. He immediately called me to say there were numerous red flags. He gave me fantastic advice, directing me to citizens advice, as well as helping me draft some emails with details about the consumer protection rights act. He was even on the phone to us over a weekend. Further, he kindly visited our house and had one of his surveyors check out our roof and works as well as provide a quotation to have done equivalent works, so we can see by how much we have been overcharged. After inspecting our roof, his professional surveyor notified us that no further works were required on our roof, and it indeed looks like we have been scammed. George and his team went above and beyond to help us out, when he really didnt have to. The company appears to genuinely care about their customers and broader community. I’m very impressed with the speed and professionalism of Cambridge Roofers. With the vast winds and rain at the moment they sent someone straight round from contact to order and replace some broken roof tiles preventing any leaks with the bad weather looming. My mother had an issue with the flat roof leaking so I contacted Cambridge roofers to see if they could address the issue. They came first to look at the issue and talked through the solution. The climbed up and took photos and videos of the affected area and sent these through along with the quote which I accepted. Another date was arranged to complete the works and it was completed by a very polite and experienced roofer (30+ years). The work was done in a day and looked like it had addressed the problem. There has been very heavy rain over the past few days and there was no sign of the leak, so it looks like the issue has been addressed. From start to finish the experience was professional and easy. Each step was explained to me, documents were virtually signed, photographs were provided and there was good communication from Cambridge Roofers. I would recommend them as they made my life easy as a customer, left the site clean and did a good job.

A friend of mine recommended Cambridge roofers when my chimney started to show signs of wear and tear. I contacted Cambridge roofers and Sean came out to look at my house. He sent a drone up to assess the overall roof as well as just the chimney. It was quite relieving to know that the majority of my roof was ok but he did highlight some points that needed looking at in the long-term The quote arrived within two days of the site visit which I promptly accepted. The work was carried out within two weeks and I cannot fault the communication. I was kept updated at every stage. I'm very happy with the results of the work and would highly recommend Cambridge roofers.

They quote to replace the whole roof, when you don't need it. I got my roof repaired by a skilled local builder for a tiny fraction of the cost of this exorbitant company. They'll try and take away your good traditional slates and replace them with modern cheap ones. They come with a drone and photograph your roof instead of coming with a ladder to take a good look. They quote a very high price. Avoid. There is no misunderstanding about the facts here.

I had my roof cleaned with Cambridge Roofers few weeks ago and was satisfied with the service. While the engineers were cleaning the roof noticed that one of the gutters was not pitched correctly and advised that it should be fixed so I don't get water running through my doors and windows. I did ask if that was something they could do but was told to ask for another quote since that wasn't agreed to be done on the day. After paying for the roof cleaning service I have asked Cambridge Roofers multiple times for a quote to fix my gutters but never heard back from them. That is the reason I am not giving a 5star review, since I believe when it comes to minor works/amends they're not that responsive.

I noticed personally light poking through the verges in the corner. Within a few weeks of completion, cracks were seen in all of the verges. They installed a wet verge instead of advising for a dry verge. Entire ridge needs to be replaced because concrete was not done properly with the end tile being removable with light force with 1 finger. They just pointed it up, with none of the concrete setting in. Rear guttering was not installed properly with it not sloped correctly and hence pooled away from the down pipe. Fascia boards from the picture looked good, from above they siliconed in and fitted the wrong type. On the front of the house, the fascia was installed over the roots and old rotten fascia boards rather a proper replacement. George quoted me afterwards a cost to fix it, after the scaffolding was taken down despite myself requesting it beforehand. Debris was left strewn along the property afterwards. THEY PUT CARDBOARD UNDER THE TILES TO HIDE THE LIGHT. George was completely unavailabe and overcharged for the works. They appear to have reused material from other jobs.

I’ve been using Cambridge Roofers for a number of years. I first contracted them for carrying out minor repairs on one of my properties a number of years ago and received good advice which enabled me to carry out a small job allowing me to save money for more substantial work which was needed subsequently. Since then, George has been invaluable in advising me on multiple commercial properties that I own, even when he has not been in a position to carry out the work himself. As a landlord and multiple business owner, Georges advice and work has saved me thousands of pounds over the years. I cannot recommend George and his company highly enough.

I have worked with Roofing Cambridge on many different projects over the years; both commercial and private properties. The surveyors and roofers are extremely knowledgeable. They go out of their way to help and do a fantastic job. They have completed a range of jobs for me, including, insulation, flat roof work, pitched roof works, repointing, installing guttering, all manner of leaks! Their work is always at the best standard. They are punctual, tidy, worth the money and communication is excellent throughout.

Awful experience! I contracted this company on 12/8/2021 to repair my leaking pitched roof. Cambridge Roofers Ltd has worked on my roof twice with poor results, roof still leaking but the head roofer George insists that his company has performed high standard quality roof repairs but unfortunately his company roofing repairs cannot be guaranteed!! I chose this company because it’s on The buy with confidence scheme with Trading Standards. I have already raised a formal complaint to Trading Standards. Since George insisted that he had repaired my roof using reasonable skills and care, Trading Standards advised me to have a third party survey the roof. So I contracted an independent roof surveyor to evaluate the work done by Cambridge roofers and the report has spotted the leak cause . I sent the report to George and he offered to repair the roof based on the roof survey report recommendations . His offer was conditional: he would do so if I retracted the negative review on The Buy with Confidence website.!! I have lost confidence with Cambridge Roofers Ltd and I prefer another roofer to repair my roof. George declines to refund my money and says he can only do so under a court order! Awful! My roof is still leaking, I have lost money and now going to court!!

George and the team are excellent. We had a detailed inspection of our problem and a quote within 48 hours of posting the job. Everything was handled transparently and fairly and any queries were dealt with really quickly. The job was carried out by a well qualified and friendly team ahead of schedule and George came to inspect the work before signing off. Very happy with the service and will definitely use again if required.

We had a leaky garage roof that had been put in place in the early 1960s; Cambridge Roofers provided a competitive quote for a replacement with the most durable choice of material. The visit to do detailed measurements took place during one of last winter's (Feb 2017) storms -- no crying off for adverse conditions; and we even received some running repairs for the old roof in the process. The work itself was done quickly, and with minimal inconvenience, despite having to work around some awkward parts, like the side door and the part where the garage almost, but not quite joins the house; it has been great to have a garage that stays dry in the rain. As a testimony to the work done, one of my neighbours, who'd been talking about getting his garage roof done, saw what we'd had done, and followed suit.

The bricks on my chimney were showing signs of wear, then I realised that my gutters were leaking. Cambridge Roofers were very quick to respond, coming out within a day of my call. The man who came to survey was very helpful, and even fixed the gutters for free! The estimate came in the post a few days later. We found that they were not the most expensive, but they were not the cheapest either. This gave us assurance that they would do a good job, while remaining well within our budget. We also liked the experience with the roofer, so making the decision to give them the job was not a difficult one. They came out promptly and the job was finished in a week. The roofers were polite, easy to talk to, and managed things well when the weather got in the way of things. We are very satisfied with the work, which is why I am happy to put this in writing and recommend them to friends and family.
