The survey was thorough and the work that was to be carried out was explained to us in detail. The work was completed in five working days with the minimum of disruption. Would not hesitate to recommend Summit Energies.

Summit Energies completed a detailed survey of my property and provided a competitive quote (benchmarked against 2 other suppliers) for the supply and installation of a heat pump and replacement radiators. Matt demonstrated superior knowledge compared to the other suppliers, and I was happy therefore to select Summit for the work.The 5 day installation and commissioning was expertly completed by Summit so I would definitely recommend them. Looking forward to a cold winter to thoroughly test my new heating system. I’m still waiting for my handover pack - hence the 4* review.

The installation took about a week. The team worked extremely well and the system has worked perfectly ever since. The conversion from lpg to a heat pump was the best thing ever. No regrets whatsoever. Hats off to the chaps at Summit

Installation of Heat Pump

The replacement of my gas boiler with a heat pump went so smoothly. From the beginning the survey and analysis of the needs of my home appeared thoroughly professional. For once, I am looking forward to winter to experience the pump in full operation. It is so good to be dealing directly with a local firm which has the experience and expertise to support me through this journey

Excellent company

This company was recommended to me by a friend who had used them and it was a great recommendation. From the very start they were professional and had excellent communication. I was a bit anxious having a complete new heating system installed but on the first visit to do the survey Matt was very reassuring. He listened to what we wanted and didn't want then worked around that to produce a layout that suited us. The installation was excellent very tidy and neatly put in, the whole system looks great and the cost reasonable considering the amount of work involved. The system works well. Very happy with this company and have recommended them to others.

Summit are an excellent team

I had a Samsung high temperature air source heat pump, heating radiators, installed in July. Summit were prompt in providing me with estimates after discussions regarding my specific requirements and dealing with an old house. They dealt with all the preceding formalities in arranging the EPC and applying for the government grant. My house is very old and required working in limited space in both a roof void and the bathroom airing cupboard.In the latter a vented hot water tank was replaced with a new made to measure unvented tank. The tanking and completed pipework in the airing cupboard can only be described as a work of art! The existing cold water tank and central heating top up tanks were dismantled and removed along with associated pipework. The installation was completed in four days and commissioned on the fifth.Once started there was no let up from Matt and Alan until the installation was finished. Problems, mainly associated with working in an old house were quickly solved and throughout no mess was made and the house left clean and tidy at the end of each day. My existing radiators have not been replaced and the pump is providing loads of hot water and a comfortable warm house. I have had one slight hiccup in that the pump shut down both water and heating over a week end, but the immersion can be activated alone and this kept us going until I could contact Summit. I rang mid morning, explained the problem, and Matt arrived in the afternoon on his way home from a job and had the pump up and running within 45 minutes. Truly excellent service. My fault was a blocked strainer in the system and once this was cleared the pump has been working beautifully. Summit have been brilliant for me in all respects.

Great installation of solar panels, battery and heat pump. Company very helpful and technically competent. Installation was quick, friendly and cleanly done. House is now warmer than ever even in freezing weather and costs less to run than my old gas boiler. I recommend this company

Thanks Summit & Matt

We searched for 4 months looking for a competent person/company to repair our Mitsubishi air source system. We were let down twice with people not turning up as arranged. Thank goodness we contacted Summit. Technically very experienced & knowledgeable with air source systems. Matt was terrific & carried out everything that had been recommended. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs either installing, repairing or servicing. We have found that an air source system is a great heating system, especially with solar panels. Great project delivered superbly by a very customer focused company

We had a great experience having Summit Energies specify and install a large 8kW Solar PV system at our home in May this year (22 large panels with batteries and an ability to use Solar for hot water heating). We were very pleased. The panels and battery installation look great too. As a professional engineer myself I had high expectations going into the project and Summit met and exceeded them all and I was very satisfied with all aspects. The advice and explanation prior to, and throughout the project was excellent and Summit went the extra mile in several aspects which was really appreciated and the mark of a great company and a testament to the team. Summit Energies in my experience are a very customer focussed company who demonstrate and deliver to high standards in all they do and who give great communication and support along the way. All work was completed to a high standard and it was a real pleasure to engage with all the Summit team throughout. Special mention to Graham Allen for his expertise, Andy and Cath who were brilliant in managing and erecting what was a complicated scaffold, Alan and Henry for a brilliant electrical installation to a high standard, Matt for his experience and persistence on the hot water tank!, Neil and Cheryl for their great advice and support from the Summit office and of course Dave as company lead who was very involved and supportive throughout. Please be very careful when dealing…

Please be very careful when dealing with Summit Energies. We have a problem wih our solar (not caused by Summit) I ask for them to come and check our system. I had to chase them a few times to confirm a booking and finally after 5 weeks we were given a date. They sent an invoice for me to be paid upfront then cancelled the appointment twice more, one less than 50 minutes before they were due to arrive. I asked for my money back, which was promised same day but did not arrive until the following day and after I had to chase again.

It was a real pleasure to work with…

It was a real pleasure to work with Summit. Especially as they are local to us. They visited site to gauge the work and ensure that they met our requirements with the contract. They arrived on site very quickly and worked had in a cramped and difficult space to install our new Heat Pump, Radiators and Solar PV system. They were always polite and very professional. I have already recommended them to other contacts and friends as a good company to do business with.

Solar and battery installation

We had solar panels and a battery installed by Summit about a month ago. They were a very professional and helpful. Graham came out to look at our property so that he had a realistic idea of what the situation of our roofs were. I had quotes from other companies but they didn't inspect the property. The installation happened sooner than I expected, and was done rapidly and efficiently by a large team. The results are really good and we are very happy with the operation of the solar - battery setup so far. The aftercare has also been very good, with Summit providing the requisite certificates for the SEG tariff application as soon as I asked for them. All in all, highly recommended.

People seem nice to deal with, had a quote from Summit however the price was way off competitors when questioned not too bothered. Seemed difficult to get call backs / information.

Fantastic ongoing service

Fantastic ongoing service from Matt and the team at Summit. We had a heatpump installed after our boiler broke last winter and they went out of their way to get it installed quickly so we'd have heating again after a chilly few weeks! There were a couple of teething problems with the install based on the type of setup we'd asked for (basically combining solar thermal into the system) and Summit came back multiple times until they'd ironed them all out, no questions asked & free of charge. We really appreciate the great service they've provided us!

I have not used them but they are quoting for a friend's heat pump and the team seem very competent.

Brilliant customer service

Excellant from start to finish!

The team visit your location and access the suitablility of your property for a PV installation (the 2 other companies we considered just used google Earth to check). The team were also well versed in green technologies and the advice gave us assurance as to the future- proofing for EV points and possible wind turbine additions to our home systems at some future point. The team kept us informed as to the progress of the installation both from their installation scheduling and organisation with the DNO (Distribution Network Operator). The scaffolding team work exclusively with Summit on all their jobs and were very conscious of the mobility needs of one of our household in placing the scaffold supports. The installation team arrived on time and got to work straight away. Roofing work for panel installation and electrical work for the inverter and battery was all completed on the same day (we did have a very pleasent day to do this so please bear in mind that weather could create an issue). We did suspect that the coffee and cakes being provided may have been a motivating factor! All-in-all I thoroughly recommend Summit as a renewables installation company.

Solar & Battery Install + Aftercare review

Install was done on 2nd March and i'm writing this review 4 months after install. Install was done in Swindon, United Kingdom. I had been quoted for a solar and battery installation by 4 different companies. I found Summit Energies to be very well priced as well as quick in the overall process as well as supplying quality hardware to install. Within a week of receiving the quote, the solar panels and battery was installed almost immediately whereas some companies were talking about 6 weeks to 6 months wait. Installation was done to a good standard. There were some minor cosmetic damage which they came back the following week to repair (mostly due to the tight spaces they had to work in when dealing with the electrics). From an installation perspective I could not fault them, really speed and professionalism. One bit of feedback around this would be regarding handover of system to me could have been better. Although they did show me initially the app I'd use and the basics around it, there was no detailed handover when trying to understand the detail behind using the app. Google and Youtube doesn't help much so had to ask around various forums to get some answers. Now regarding MCS certificate, this has taken over 3 months to receive which is needed to submit my warranty as well as to be paid for the export. This delay was due to a 3rd party who deals with this so can't blame SummitEnergies for this matter, but they did say they would compensate for the free export I've given to energy provider over the 3 months. Other than that i've got some final queries which i've been waiting a few weeks to get help on but response is slow (due to aftercare team looks like is the installers themselves). Overall: - Proposal and install = 5 stars - Pricing and service during proposal and install = 5 stars - Aftercare support = 2 stars They can definitely look to improve on their aftercare support to make themselves truly standout from their competitors. I'm sure they will eventually come round to helping me with my queries, but the turnaround would need to improve. I'd still recommend them if you're looking for a speedy install that's competitively priced but be mindful the aftercare might be a little slow until they improve.
