I hadn’t used Baystar before but needed a service of my air source heat pump. Both the service and remedial follow-up visit were quickly organised with the engineers arriving on time. Both engineers were courteous and very well informed, taking time to talk me through the system adjustments in suitably non-technical language. One tricky issue relating to a previously damaged solar thermal panel was dealt with quickly through phone support from the office. I’ve already made a note to call Baystar back for the next service since I think they did an excellent job.

Servicing

Baystar just serviced our underground heat system and we couldn’t be happier. John, the engineer, was thorough, professional, and a real credit to the company. So pleased we chose them!

Although I haven’t personally used Baystar’s services, I want to highlight an outstanding act of kindness by one of their team members, Jason. My wife and 4 year old daughter were unexpectedly locked out of their car at a site where Baystar was working. They had no access to their mobile, purse, or car keys. Despite being a complete stranger and busy at work, Jason took the initiative to pay for their full-day parking to prevent a ticket, bought them snacks and water, and regularly checked in to make sure they were okay. When the situation was eventually resolved a few hours later and we offered to repay him, he kindly refused. This is a true example of human decency and compassion. If Jason reflects the ethos of Baystar, I have every confidence in recommending their services to anyone. Thank you, Jason, your good deed will not be forgotten and will be passed on. Just completed installing air source heat pumps. The work was started and was completed on time. The team were diligent, helpful and had an attention for detail. I was also kept abreast on progress and they ensured that every thing worked before signing of the job. PV and airsource installation…

We approached Baystar after a recommendation and they have been very very helpful throughout installing both PV and Heat pump system. Unlike UKPN who are still sitting with their head in sand over the ability to export back to them without shutting our system down! Whilst there have been a couple of teething problems everyone at Baystar has done their best in resolving them. We even had an engineer call in on Sunday on his way back from Cornwall

Everyone at Baystar is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Ours is a big project and we did have a few teething problems, but we have been very happy with the site support and ongoing customer care.

Avoid - when I enquired about the length of warranty they provide on the parts they supplied, they refused to provide any warranty then 'declined' the work. They then emailed the other service providers I got quotes from to make sure I couldn't get my heat pump fixed. Petty and psycopathic behaviour.

Solar and ASHP services

Approached Baystar for Solar and ASHP services. The communication and planning has been excellent. Met with onsite representative recently to discuss all options and came up with an excellent plan for the ASHP location. Very pleased overall and look forward to the installation once our house build gets to that stage!

Everything with Baystar is seamless. The efficiency of all the office staff in managing calls and putting us in contact with the correct staff through to the faultless Service team. The service teams time keeping for call outs is impeccable. Their willingness to interact and explain issues is very reassuring.

Extremely Professional

I've worked on a number of projects with Baystar and they are always professional and the standard of work is extremely high. From designing, installing, maintenance and service Baystar are one of the best in UK.

Jason, Jonny and the team were lovely people to deal with. Their price was keen, they were eager to please and the GSHP (ecoforest) they installed has kept us warm and with hot water for over 2 years now. We thoroughly recommend them for whatever energy based project you’re doing.

Highly Recommended for technichal and service skils

Baystar were exceptionally efficient in resolving two problems with my heat engine in very cold weather in February 2023, and persevered with their visits, until there was a satisfactory result. Another supplier had simply been sitting on their hands for several weeks and I was very grateful indeed to have my heat restored! Highly recommended.

I cannot recommend Baystar highly enough. I first used Baystar for the installation of a ground source heat pump at my Farm House 8 years ago. I have since done several projects where I have used their expert services and have found their advice and professionalism second to none. Glossy website, with engaging testimonials encouraged me to enquire with Baystar about an open water source heat pump system for a barn I am converting for myself. From the initial lukewarm response, haphazard communication, regular changes of contact personnel due to staff turnover, to a final e-mail explaining that the company was "concentrating on our larger commercial jobs", Baystar have fabulously underperformed. Need I say more ?
