Absolutely brilliant service today the engineer Haydon has made a brilliant job of servicing and repairing our biomass boiler nothing was a problem all clean and tidy. He gave good advice very professional. Highly recommended our new go to company now.

Best company I've ever dealt with. Efficient, helpful, responsive and truthful. Had two of their engineers out who have both done a fantastic job. Very knowledgeable and hard working. All communication is clear and if they say they'll do something, they do, and do it well. Our boiler is working the best it ever has since AB Energy are looking after it. Highly recommend.

I can’t speak highly enough of AB - right through from initial consultation to installation, servicing and repairs, our experience is that everyone in the team truly knows their stuff and takes the time needed to do a first class job every time. As a family run business they are big enough to have all the skills and small enough to genuinely know their customers and care about the work they do. Our job was replacing an old biomass boiler for a new one - we felt informed and in control at each step and the job was completed on time and on budget.

Fantastic company, been struggling with our biomass boiler from the day it was put in over 10 years ago, the final straw was when the meters went blank and after one year of chasing up our previous engineers in Glasgow (who had no idea how to replace them) we eventually contacted AB energy and within one month they had meters and RHI payments all sorted as well as the boiler running without stopping every other week and far more efficiently too! We are in south west Scotland and their response time is excellent as well as phone support.

I did not know who to contact

I did not know who to contact , and rang AB Energy to see if they could help. I made an appointment for their engineer to visit. The representative (Andy) turned up exactly when promised. He spent time listening to me outline the issue, and then he started testing the system. He explained to me what he was doing and why. He quickly identified what was needed and then did the repair. He then checked the rest of the installation, again explaining as he went. I learned a lot from him.

A great local company. Informative, quick and efficient with a very clear charging and billing process. Highly recommend.

I had a number of questions to ask, and despite there being no financial reward as I am outside of their geographical area, or any other benefit for that matter, they rang and spoke to me at length, giving me very sound advice and taking care to answer my questions. They were very informative and helpful, and I only wish they were nearer!

Fantastic knowledge of the woodchip boiler. Solved the problems that 2 other company’s had struggled with and left them in a puzzle. Very pleased and with fast turn around from the initial phone call. Highly recommend.

Troublesome Froling P4 Pellet Boiler

I have owned a 25kw Froling P4 pellet boiler for 10 years which, has always been moody and beset with problems. Several engineers over the years have attempted to troubleshoot and have the system working as it should but all have failed. I was ready to scrap this one and buy new from a different manufacturer and contacted AB Energy, via their online form, to enquire if they would be interested in offering me a price for my current boiler. Thirty minutes after submitting the document I was contacted by the General Manager, Ben Fisher, who was incredulous that I was about to scrap a ten-year-old Froling, saying the idea was absurd as this manufacturer was one of the best. He told me that they look after almost ninety of these boilers and assured me that, whatever was wrong, they would fix and have the machine running as it should. It took two visits and some online support but they have succeeded and for the first time in a long time I feel confident in the knowledge that I have found a company whose employees know what they are doing. Many thanks to Hayden and Tom for site visits and to Ben, Andy and Dave for reassuring phone conversations and technical advice. I do appreciate that this knowledge, experience and service doesn't come cheap but when I remember that I was on the cusp of spending around £20,000 on a replacement, I'm delighted.

The excellent Hayden came to service my biomass boiler today for the first time. What a pro! He arrived on time, was polite helpful and friendly, answered my questions, and made the App work (which the previous engineer never managed). I was left feeling safe, relieved and confident that my boiler is now in good hands. Thank you!.

He made the App work which the previous engineer had failed to do for four years. Nothing was too much trouble. Such a pleasure! Such a relief!

Fantastic company can't praise the higly enough. My 90 year old parent's, who live near Brampton, had their boiler completely fail in the cold weather before Christmas 2024. AB Energy Centre came the next day and had a new boiler ordered, installed and running 3 days later, when other companies said they couldn't look at it until mid-January. Many, many thanks Andy and colleagues.

We needed a service for our Biomass Boiler. AB Energy delivered a prompt and friendly response at a price that beat the competition. The service was equally prompt and the young engineer was professional, courteous and very skilled.

I had Biomass installed in 2019, only to discover after a year or so that I had chosen the wrong small business to do it, dreadful customer service, no notice of engineer visits, calls not replied to. Found AB through the Woodfuel Co-op in Dumfries - big thanks to them! From the very first contact AB have been everything that you want in a maintenance company, great communication, knowledgeable office and engineering staff. My system is now operating better than when installed and is using less fuel. Looking to move and hopefully have a new system installed where we go. Highly recommend.

I've been a customer for several years now and can report excellent service. The tech help telephone line proved very helpful today when my biomass boiler failed to start. Having described the situation, I was helped to diagnose the problem and directed to the solution. Within an hour of phoning the company, they had called back and my boiler was up and running again. I was relieved that a call out wasn't required on this occassion since my house is a considerable distance from the company.

I've used AB Energy Centre for several years and they are by far the best and most honest company I have ever dealt with. Always prompt and always offer the most cost effective method - Brilliant!!

OMG What would I do without these guys. I had an emergency with a control panel at 4:30 tonight. I am writing this at just past 6:00 and it is sorted. Amazing no? They even managed to keep the costs down. I went through three green energy companies before finding this company and none of them were reliable and knowledgeable like AB energy. It is such a relief to know they are there to help and on my side.

Great service who we used a while ago & we haven't had a problem since. Spoke with Ben over the phone who was really accomodating & helpful & answered all of my questions (sorry there was so many!). Prompt & professional. No complaints from us.

They have changed my bio mass life entirely!!

I have owned and run a log gasification boiler for ten years. In that time I have gone through four different companies to help me maintain it and it has been one thing after another with one engineer saying one thing and another saying something different. The only thing they all had in common was that no one could solve the problems we have had running it. We even had to send the boiler back to poland to be refurbished! I signed on with the AB Energy Centre just over a year ago and they understood exactly what to do. Unlike all the other repairs and even though green energy parts etc are very expensive, it didn't cost thousands either. I reckon what their engineer recognised almost immediately has been wrong since it was first installed and everything else was a result of that fault. It runs perfectly now as I always imagined it should. What's more is that they are there to help. Finally there is someone who supports me. In this world of a myriad of green energy options, it seems reliable true experts are hard to find. Many want to sell you systems but not many have actually run them. These guys have. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They have changed my bio mass life entirely!! lol

This company are VERY expensive

This company are VERY expensive. The service engineer spent approx. 3 hours servicing (cleaning) my wood burner £390/3=£130/hour The service report also stated “Not familiar with controls” so how they were able to service??? Be careful to get a price before you request a visit, and watch the clock

Spoke with Ben over the phone with a whole host of questions and problems with a system that was installed by another company. And he was able to point me in the right direction as to the likely causes and remedies. Fantastic kindness and professionalism especially towards a non customer. Thank you Ben.

Great service from the AB energy centre team. Very helpful and professional. I had an issue with the ignitor on my Extraflame boiler. They were really quick in responding, I phoned in the morning to let them know I had received a replacement and they called round and fitted it the same day.
