AHP Service.

I had my AHP serviced this week by Project Heating Solutions. Most of the staff there are helpful, but the service engineer was Joe Gundry. He is excellent. Not just servicing the filters, etc, but cleaning everything, to ensure that my air pump stays in tip-top condition.

Air source heat pump service

Had my air source heat pump and heating system serviced today …. The technician arrived on time , so I had no waiting about. Joe was extremely helpful, courteous and respectful. I was particularly impressed by how thorough he was … my outside unit is located rather high on the side of the house ( so may have been overlooked in the past ) yet Joe cleaned the rather green unit until it was lovely and white again. I felt Joe went over and above to ensure my system was functioning correctly.. Brilliant work … thank you

arranged a meeting with the salesperson and went ahead with installation the following week, after 3 days all work was carried out to a great standard, fitters were clean and respectable.

A shout out to Joe Gundry. A quick message to him helped me sort out a little issue when my heating wasn't working. It was just a glitch but Joe was reassuring, as always, and so helpful ( in his own time too). I am so very grateful for the support I have had. Thanks Joe.

Fantastic support from one of your staff his name was Joe we had just been away for 3 weeks came home and our heat pumps were not working correctly he came out and fixed it spending 3 hours going over and behond hes a credit to the company 👍

Do not use

Would not recommend using there services!! Workmanship is horrendous and the after care services are diabolical!!

Pay the Heat Loss Survey company directly. It is much cheaper if you want more than one quote.

Salesman Richard Pinker, assured me that the heat loss report I needed to have before an air source heat pump could be installed was mine and independent. According to him, as I was expected to pay £195 for this report it was mine and I could even use it with another company should I choose to do so. When I tried to get a copy it proved incredibly difficult. I was sent a blank copy of a report they compile, then a copy of the APEX report I had paid for less all the data needed for an assessment of my ashp needs. I complained and was sent the same report with data missing. After yet another complaint I was sent another copy again with data missing but an EPC taken from the internet attached. Eventually after I gave an ultimatum I received a copy of the two missing pages. Shabby sales technique design to hook the customer. After all who wants to lay out another £195. For a report already paid for. Lesson learnt was pay the surveying company directly. You become the customer and the report is sent to you. I STAND BY ALL I’VE SAID. I DID NOT ASK FOR A COPY OF THEIR REPORT I WANTED A COPY OF THE REPORT FROM APEX WHICH I HAD PAID FOR NOT AN INCOMPLETE COPY WHICH IS WHAT WAS SENT TO ME ON FOUR OCCASIONS. IT TOOK MORE THAN TWO WEEKS BEFORE I WAS SENT THE TWO MISSING DATA PAGES, NOT EVEN A COMPLETE COPY JUST THE TWO MISSING PAGES. I DID EMAIL THE COMANY DIRECTOR, ROBERT STEELYARD WITH A COMPLAINT BUT RECEIVED NO RESPONSE.

Annual heat pump service

Just had my annual heat pump service done by Joe. An absolute super star. He is very clever very knowledgeable and explains everything in great detail if you are unsure of any aspect of the system. Well done Joe.

Just had my heat pump service done by PHS, they are always reliable and easy to contact. Once again the service was done by Joe Gundry, he always does an excellent job and nothing is too much trouble. I’ll certainly be getting next year’s service done by him.

First service

We have just had our first heat pump and G3 hot water cylinder service with Joe Gundry from Project Heating Solutions. We were fortunate enough to have him for the install last year, so he knows our system inside out. He attended to the service in a professional, meticulous manner and documented everything as he went along. He is prepared to go the extra mile and even found time to order some parts for us that had, unfortunately, been damaged during the original install with a view to coming back to fit them in the new year. He is a real credit to the company and we hope to have him back next year for our annual service and inspection.

Use of contractors. No ownership of the work that includes sub contractors who fitted the solar system.

DO NOT let this company have anything to do with a re roof. DO NOT TRUST THEM. Directors do not take ownership of the work and do not reply to emails or return phone calls. Sub standard work by contractors. Work completed end of July took till November to get Building Regulations Completion Certificate which we found out only covers the thermal element of the roof. End of November and the roof has started leaking so having to get a qualified roofer in to sort the problem. Offer from PHS ltd for their roofer to come and sort flashing around chimney but does not accept the other issues. Will not provide a guarantee which is standard for a new roof of at least 10years.. Threatened by Jamie Boggis (Director) to remove this post before they will come back. If they can not offer guarantee then what is the point? Paid our invoice for the roof and solar system to PHS Ltd yet they are denying any responsibility for the roof. Reporting to Trading Standards. Thanks for the reply although full of lies. How dare you say we hadn't the funds?!!!! If the roofer said he couldn't guarantee the flashing wasn't done then we would certainly have had it done.!! Trust is lost in this company... Solar panels and battery system have yet to perform as good as the original proposal.?? UPDATE 17/12/2025 In response to your reply Mr Boggis You say you have been in constant contact for over a week. That is true. Prior to this for over 3months no returning of phone calls or emails while trying to get a building regulations certificate sorted. Didn't even get a Director to sign their name to it. As for the flashing which you say was recommended which we assumed was included in the quote. The roofer actually said 'If it's not broken don't fix it's and assured us it would be ok. We have now had this replaced at a cost of £365. During this work the roofer identified other issues with the roof such as the ridge tiles not secured. We will be following this up with Trading Standards along with the other issues previously identified. Which additional service did you offer which you say we accepted or acknowledged any support?? The signed and in our error of judgement payed for contract you mentioned just says 're-roof work ' We should have gotten the details of what this included. Also Jamie, I do not accepts threats from what is supposed to be a reputable company to remove this post!!

Service and reliability

All the work carried out was completed efficiently and professionally. Joe, engineer, went out of his way to help ensure our heating system ran properly. Overall excellent service.

PHS installed my solar and ASHP…

PHS installed my solar and ASHP initially and I have my annual service done by Joe Grundy. His attention to detail is incredible. I have a working history in the Plumbing Supplies industry and have significant knowledge of heating products. However a couple of days ago I had a problem with my system so I contacted Joe directly after hours. He had no problem spending time discussing the issue with me and stayed on the phone for about half an hour, giving me instructions on what to do to try to sort things out. We sorted this out so that everything is back to normal now and I can’t thank him enough for his time and patience. PHS are lucky to have him representing their business.

Our yearly service was carried out by Joe Gundry, he's one of the Engineers. He went above and beyond today. This is the third time he's been to service our ASHP and every time we know we are in good hands! He has always been professional and thorough. The whole team at PHS have always been super helpful in terms of any queries we have had since it was installed back in 2020. Thank you!

Your engineer Joe did an excellent service to my Heat Pump system. Very professional and tidy worker.

One problem after another for years. now out of warranty & still having problems.

We were told a brand was the best system by the 1st contact from PHS. Then on the day they supplied a different brand. The engineers/ plumbers weren't very good. They left things looking unfinished both piping & new radiators. I specifically wanted a warmer floor in my kitchen & considered underfloor heating but they said having kickboard heaters would work as well with less mess. On the day the joiner refused to lift the flooring to pipe to the kickboards so they decided to put a huge ugly electric wall heater off centre on the back of the chimney. Nothing would work until the electrician came. The following week we had someone out most days to sort the system which was problematic from day 1. We've had them out even after the warranty expired as it hadn't been plumbed properly( checked by an independent advisors plumber) (part of the unfinished work I mention. More junctions than Birmingham. Apparently that caused a back wash which prevented the system heating up, they said the system was trying to concentrate on wayer as a priority & switched between hearing & water throught the day. It wasn't managing to heat the water to temperature so never switched to heating. So they stopped it heating water & switched it to immersion heating once a day to almost boiling & the system just maintained. Seemed to defeat the object of buying an ASHP. Another cold winter. This seemed very strange because the 1st winter the heating was stuck at 27° & wouldn't turn down. After that was sorted the following year it couldn't reach temperature of 19° & if you wanted it warmer you'd no chance. Several services & a partial replumbing later & out of warranty now. We're still having problems. Weve just had the service done & the outside unit is now leaking, it wasnt vefore the service.. Its been one thing after another. Had we understood that we had HIES cover for the unit & install, we could have had the insurance company inspect the system, they could removed & re installed it, when we realised we contacted them but by that time we were 3 months too late. PHS did agree to have their best man come out & check the install. Which is when several of the junctions were by passed with straight piping. We did have it inspected by an independent company & they said they'd used the wrong size pipes throughout. All in all poor plumbers. Who work independently on contract with PHS that said PHS provide them with everything required & did inspect it & pass it. We were under the impression that all ASHP had a few teething problems until they settled down. To do with pressure. Which is up to us to keep going & inspecting it every few weeks. I wouldn't remlcommend Project Heating or Air Source Heat Pumps. I don't see how they're better for anything. Stick to a quality Gas heater.

Excellent service

Excellent service,3 men travelled all the way from Yorkshire to Northamptonshire and in 1 day replaced 8 radiators and fitted the outdoor heat pump, indoor hot water tank and fittings. Unbeatable service. It has now been running for 1 year without any problems.
