Had solar panels installed a few years back by another company. Unfortunately I didn't go with the recommendation of bird proofing which was not a good idea. So recently decided to get the birdproofing done. Greenman Solar's team got the job done in record time and it didn't cost the earth. Will certainly recommend to anyone needing this service.

ABSOLUTLEY LOVE MY SOLAR!!!! I was very sceptical at first but the team at Greenman solar put me at ease and explained the whole process down the the smallest details. Very happy with my experience & couldn't recommend them any more!!!

Next update to review July 2026 (24 months review) Updated 20/08/25 Savings: Year one £1999 Elec /solar (data source Tesla app) of which £634 was paid back to us as export payments £200 Gas (data source BG billing)] Total = £2199 Game changer moving on to British Gas (BG) EV Tariff Feb 25. 00:00 to 05:00 @ a rate of 7.9 per kWh, this allows me to recharge the Tesla battery as well as use the I-Boost to heat the water and save on the water being heated by gas; This in turn allows us to sell back to BG @ 15.5p per Kw. I would like to commend the Greenman Solar (GMS) teams, from the back office to the instillation team for a professional job, as well as their aftercare. Pre-install the design team were on hand to answer questions as well as confirm design and technical details; they even came to site to walk through the install. The install teams, erection of the scaffolds to commissioning were profession and kept me fully informed. Throughout the process there was no pressure to hand over a deposit, full payment not required until we were happy with the final commissioning. We had been looking to get Solar onto our property (4 bed detached) over these past few years, and yes, we did find the process daunting. We talked to several companies, some who were happy to quote having not even visited the property, we then had the standard quotes which to be honest were pages and pages of data which did not really mean anything to us. However, GMS stood out head and shoulder above the rest with their personable approach and site visit. Dean and Keith worked with us to get the solution we were after and were more than happy to talk through options and solutions; my wife did not want to see any unnecessary cables, any that were visible were had to be neat; the battery had to be in the garage and the cables had to be run underground alongside the front of the property. At no time did we feel we were under any time pressure or a have a commitment to proceed. It’s now been twelve months since the GMS team commission the Solar arrays and battery at my property (24th June 2004); However, to allow for a fair and honest feedback I thought I would update as we move through the first year and having had feedback regarding the return on our export figures. Suffice to say is WOW, the install and Solar journey has far exceeded our expectations, we attribute this down to the design and professionalism of the install team. We feel the design was bang on and is doing what is expected and more. The Tesla Powerwall 2 battery is surely the star of the show and has been invaluable in facilitating good use of our store energy long after the sun has gone down; change rate of 5.0 Kw per hour from Solar, The design allowed for having the arrays on both elevations of our roof, a positive design feature; we are catching the sun all day even between the clouds; will generates even when overcast which allows for basic household demand to be covered. Over the last year we are showing as being depended on a supply from the grid of only 26%; . We are also saving on the gas as the hot water is being heated by the Solar iBoost . Having moved to an EV tariff now allows us to heat the water during the early hours and then being topped up during the day as we send back power to the grid; having the battery charged overnight allows for a quick return as the sun comes out. The Tesla battery is doing its job and discharging thought-out the evening and early hours as well as being topped up via the early morning EV tariff. The installation has shifted our approach to energy consumption, focusing on maximising the use of excess solar energy instead of selling it back to the grid, leading to more strategic use of appliances during sunny periods. Why would I sell back to BG at 15.5p per Kw and then if I need to, buy back at 27.06 per Kw We use the BBC weather app to help plan our usage and help get best use out of our Solar system. I am so relieved I found Greenman Solar! They are very knowledgable, quick to respond and overall a fantastic experience. I had a software issue and they were able to rectify it on site but could offer replacements/fixes if it came to it. I will definitely use them in the future and strongly recommend to others.

9 months on from installation and we are completely satisfied with our system which is performing in all seasons exactly as promised. The initial visit, design, installation and resolving a problem with UK Power Network's admin were managed flawlessly by the team. Communication was excellent and all staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We paid a small deposit and balance a week after completion. MCS & other paperwork followed. I have no hesitation in recommending Greenman Solar who delivered a great service at a competitive price.

From the outset Keith and his team have been professional, courteous, and a pleasure to deal with. Their workmanship was extremely good, both on the fitment of the panels and also the install of the battery pack and associated electrics. The install team were friendly and polite and left the work areas vacuumed and clean. Also a shout out to UK scaffolding who put up the access. Well done lads. Friendly and efficient service from the quotation, planning and installation phases (incl. scaffolding). Installed our PV panels, inverter and consumer unit interface etc in under 1.5 days. System is working really well and we can see the benefits immediately (even with poor weather). I would definitely recommend Greenman Solar.

What a brilliant service from beginning to end ! The install for the two roof installation (5kwh) was installed in a single day and was super neat and tidy. I am so pleased with the energy being produced for free now i would recommend solar to everyone !

Greenman Solar were really good throughout the process, and the team on site were excellent and just got on with the job with no fuss. The electrician, made sure that all the cabling in the loft was tidy and attached to the roof supports well, he did a fantastic job of hiding the cable on the outside of the house. I would recommend them to anyone without any a second thought, the price was competitive and the panels nicely arranged on the roof and generating around 260KwH in the last 10 days since they were installed.

Greenman Solar installed a 4 Kw PV solar system on 27 May 2022 with an I-boost system and bird netting. The job from start to finish went very smoothly over a period of 4 days with an electrician here on the Tuesday, scaffolding installed on the Wednesday, installation of the system on the Thursday and removal of the scaffolding on the Friday. Customer service is good as well which is important when choosing an installation company. If anyone is looking to install a solar panel system then look no further than Greenman Solar. We have already made savings on our gas bill as the water is now heated by the I-Boost system. The data shows that since installation we have produced 119.2 kw and have made 32kw savings by the solar system. The system has only been working for just under 7 days.

I have been highly satisfied with Greenman Solar re the recent installation of solar panels. The process was smooth and efficient from initial quote and fitting to the provision of follow up documentation. All involved in the installation were knowledgeable about the product and able to answer any queries I had. The solar panels are already working very well!

Greenman solar installed a 4kw PV solar system for me on 20/4/22 complete with the iBoost system for the hot water cylinder. I would highly recommend them!!! From start to finish the whole job went smoothly and the communication was excellent. There was half a day of electrical works on the Monday, Scaffolding went up Tuesday, the full 12 panel installation was completed on Wednesday and switched on by 1.30 pm, the scaffolding was removed on Friday. All of the installers were highly professional and worked in a clean and tidy manner. The system is working very well and looking at the smart data on my energy suppliers App i can see that my electrical consumption is down 66% and my gas consumption has dropped by 29%. The saving on the gas is because my 150 litre hot water cylinder is now heated via the immersion element by the excess power generated by the panels before it is exported to the grid, therefore the boiler hasn't had to fire up to heat the hot water. The data on the i boost shows that since the time of install i have saved 41.24 KW h by the solar heating the hot water. At the time of writing this review the system has been generating for 12 days and produced 204 KW H. In that time we have had a mix of clear sunny spells and overcast days so a nice mix of weather to average out the production. In conclusion I would highly recommend Greenman Solar and would look no further for an installer.

Greenman Solar provided an excellent service in cleanly and efficiently supplying and installing my new Solar system. Communication was good, the price fair and the job completed on the specified days. Payment was taken when the job was completed and the overall feeling was of a quality product and an excellent team - I would recommend Greenman solar to family and friends.

From start to finish, Nikko and all involved were brilliant. I had so many questions and he put my mind at ease, pointed me to reviews, and advised us all the way. The scaffolders were lovely, the installers were great and it was completely unobtrusive. We are so delighted and would highly recommend to anyone looking for solar panels.

Greenman Solar are simply the best. We had our solar panels installed about a year ago and the whole team were brilliant during this time. Any query since has been answered immediately. The panels have been absolutely great since, generating loads of electricity, and we just regret not getting them sooner.

From the first contact with Greenman Solar, there was no sales pressure from Niko or his team. Every concern I had was answered very quickly and professionally and provided with me with the all relevant information which convinced me that this was the best way forward. We were invited to visit the showroom in Ashford to see working models of the solar panels and the choice of panels available and to see the inverters working on a live system which proved that it worked. We were kept up to date of when the work would commence which included the scaffolding etc. When Niko and his team arrived they did a fast and professional job, nothing was to much trouble for them and all was sorted very quickly by Niko and his very friendly team. The follow up visit by Rachel ensured all the relevant paper work was completed and returned to the relevant parties on my behalf . We were given a quote for solar panels from another company that was quite frankly shocking! I contacted Niko at Greenman Solar and now have a lovely 4kw 16 panel array. The service that we have received has been next to none. I would not hesitate to recommend them. These people are passionate about what they do and really have the customer's interest at heart. No sales pitches, just pure honesty with everything happening when they said it would, right down to the paperwork and feed-in application, which they helped us to fill in. If you are looking for solar panels with no sales and no hassle, at a more than reasonable price, then these are the guys for you. Greeman solar were a great company to deal with. They were professional and courteous but also had a very personal approach. Our panels proved difficult to source at the time of installation so they upgraded the panel spec for no additional cost. The guys who fitted the panels and completed the electrical installation were a pleasure to have here. The paperwork for the FIT was all completed for us so that it was ready to post which was a huge help (it looked very complicated!). Thank you - we will recommend you to anyone who chooses to have solar panels.

We arranged a meeting to discuss installation; Greenman Solar came well prepared and we were given all the information we asked for - and more. In just about an hour we felt we had everything we needed to make our final decision. Arranging for installation was easy, and the two day installation was completed on schedule with minimum fuss and no mess! Installed on 15 April 2013 we have already had a quarterly electricity bill which to our delight was less than half of the bill we had for the same quarter in 2012 and now we have had confirmation our first FIT payment will be over £200.00! What are you waiting for? Everyone should have solar panels; and everyone should have GREENMAN SOLAR!
