We had Sola fit GivEnergy backup batteries in October 2025. The whole process from initial assessment by David Hayman to completion was seamless. Everything was explained very well and time was taken to ensure that anything not understood was understood. No outrageous promises were made and now we have 4 months experience, it is performing as expected. No hiccups - no glitches. Ryan is extremely capable and trustworthy and his 2 installers were excellent. The work was done in one day and the area was left cleaner than when they arrived! I would thoroughly recommend Ryan and Sola.

We were extremely pleased with the first solar installation provided by Sola Renewable. Then we wanted a battery added to shift the cheap overnight tariff to a battery to use during the high tariff daytime rates. All done beautifully with no hassle, and everything is working brilliantly. Then we wanted to add four more panels... Ryan did a survey, gave advice and then, when all was prepared, in just a few hours, installed four new panels and integrated them into the system. Brilliant. Absolutely marvellous. They say what they mean and mean what they say and do it on time, professionally - and they clean up the mess afterwards. I highly recommend Sola Renewables and Ryan Williams.

Highly recommended company

Ryan and the company were very professional and knowledgeable. We had a solar battery added to our existing PV solar panel system and EV charger installed. They worked hard and were neat and tidy, took time to explain everything and never pushed to make a decision before we were ready. Would highly recommend this company.

Excellent and professional solar installation

I am so pleased that we found Sola Renewable Company. Ryan and his team were a breath of fresh air. From Ryan's first visit with a drone survey and then answering all my questions clearly and expertly, I knew we were in safe hands. The installation took just one day with scaffolding going up quickly the day before and then taken down again a few days later. Ryan helped set us up on the GivEnergy app so we can view the performance of the solar panels. Overall, an excellent experience and very competitive value for money. We would highly recommend Sola Renewable Company.

A great installation of an 11 panel system with battery and EV charger. Ryan was easy to get hold of, kept us updated, and really knows his stuff.

I cannot fault Sola-UK

I cannot fault Sola-UK, and Ryan was brilliant throughout. I took months for various reasons to decide on going with Sola-UK but Ryan was only patient, helpful, informative and responded quickly at all times. And his final quote was excellent. So when the big day installation arrived, everything went smoothly, thanks to all the prep that Ryan and his team had organised with me, including clear communications as to what his team would do and what I needed to do. And the aftercare was also good. There was only one small, minor glitch with the related app, which seemingly is the app provider's fault, not Ryan's. And even then, the app otherwise works fine, as indeed does the entire system, which I am really pleased with.

We had several other companies quote for our solar panels, but none gave the completely honest and in depth advice that Ryan did (some didn't even visit the house). From the first visit to the final sign off, Ryan was professional, quick to respond, and super helpful. His install team were quick, neat and tidy and polite. Highly recommended.

Professional, high-quality, diligent, patient, brilliant service. From first contact through my endless questions to agreeing to the work, to installation and all the required certificates - all have been 100%, top-notch. The installation was quick, clean and efficient. The cables were properly laid out and affixed. The boxes are square and true. It looks good. Throughout, there was an ongoing attention to detail. AND they cleaned up and took all the packaging and the detritus created in the installation. Everyone was friendly, approachable, and professional. They are a great team, with a great product, and with a great installation. Already I am enjoying the fruits of solar generation... even a day or two without need of the grid - the battery is an essential part. I can wholeheartedly recommend Sola Renewables to anyone looking to have a solar system in their home.

Recent home electrics upgrades

I recently had electrical work completed on my home, and I’m very satisfied with the results. The electrician was professional, arrived on time, and explained the work clearly. All wiring and fixture installations were done neatly and up to code, and fully certified with correct certificates. Gareth the director then ensured everything was safe and working properly before leaving. I would definitely recommend their services to others looking for reliable and efficient electrical work.

We have recently undergone a full house renovation and chose Sola to work on the solar panels and battery backup, best choice we made. Ryan has been a dream to work with from the start to finish. He was in constant contact during the project and made frequent visits early on to ensure all required cabling etc was in place so that everything could be hidden to provide a seamless finish. The team were very considerate and accommodating to other contractors and worked very well together. From start to finish, Sola were totally professional - in their attitude, in listening to our needs, in their approach to the work on the install day (as were the scaffolders) and in providing infomation once complete. A great team. Ryan designed a system exactly as we had asked for and supervised the install and did the commisioning. Polite and professional throughout. The scaffolders did their job again professionally and on time - despite it being stupidly hot! The guys on the roof and the electricians worked hard to get the job done in less than a day, communicating well with Ryan and us on progress. Genuinely a pleasure to have this team in the house. They clearly work well together and nice to see a groups of young people just getting on with stuff!

Sola efficiently undertook the whole project. From designing and specifying the installation, obtaining planning permission and listed building consent, coordinating the rapid, painless installation by their very competent trade teams, through to commissioning and briefing us on its operation. Ryan made the whole process enjoyable, persisted despite others having been put off by reluctant planners and organised the project to achieve shortest possible time on site and minimum disruption. Rarely experienced such care and attention in over 50 years of experience as a chartered architect.

Positive experience

Exceptionally well organised and coordinated service. Sola obtained both planning permission and listed building consent and programmed continuous work by other trades to achieve minimum site time and early completion. Handover and commissioning made easy. Highly recommended.

How to have a good experience of Solar Panel installation

I installed solar panels some 10 years ago on my last house so I had a good idea of what I wanted from the installer and Ryan of Sola ticked those boxes both before, during and after the installation. So what was I looking for 1. Is this a sales pitch or someone and a company that knows what they are talking about? 2. Would they design a system suitable for my property and needs with options or recommend and fit their standard offering? 3. Would they be carrying out and personally overseeing the installation and organising the scaffolding or would it be subcontracted? 4. Was it a reasonable timeframe from placing the order to completion? 5. Would the installation be completed as planned in the timeframe agreed at the agreed price with everything left clean and tidy? 6. What after installation services did they offer? In particular could I just phone up and ask for advice and or report any problems? (There have not been any). I recon I got a good deal at a competitive price with excellent service and yo cannot ask for anything better than that.

We had a few other companies to quote us where one was a pure salesman who didn’t know any technical details, and another who also had limited knowledge and didn’t fill us with confidence. Ryan wasn’t pushy, knows his stuff, and was easy to work with to get the right system for what we needed. He did the install and was on hand to answer any questions before, during and after the work. We have had the system for 9 months and it’s already generating a decent return. I’d definitely recommend Ryan and Sola.

Incredibly impressed with the Sola team and I would highly recommend them due to their professionalism, knowledge and expertise. Ryan was fantastic from start to finish and went through all the options for installing solar panels, battery storage and iboost. He was always happy to discuss questions I had and make modifications to ensure I got the right system and fully understood its benefits. We already had a few issues with our roof so took the opportunity to have additional scaffolding and the ridge lines and chimneys overhauled by Dan from horizon roofing whose team were top notch. Dan’s team installed the panels which look great and compared to other installations I’ve seen in neighbouring roads, the installation is far superior and they had great attention to detail which really makes a difference. The other companies I had round to get quotes from didn’t come close to Sola. They were either sales reps just trying to push the sale or lacked the detail to be able to explain the system. You’re in very safe hands of you chose to go with Ryan and the team he has assembled. The Give Energy app is incredibly easy to use and it was great to see that I’m already saving the moment the system was commissioned!
