Do Not Go Anywhere Else!!!

Gemma and I moved into our dream home in November, and from the start it was really important to us that any solar installation would be cosmetically pleasing, installed with care, and truly “look the part” on the property. Callum, the salesperson, was excellent from day one. He was polite, never pushy, and very factual in his approach. As we had only just moved in, we didn’t have clear pre-installation consumption data, so he was realistic about potential savings rather than over-promising. Throughout the whole process, he was simply brilliant. Myah in the office was equally outstanding. She always answered the phone — before, during, and after the installation. We changed our minds while waiting for G99 export approval, and even on the day of installation when it became possible to fit more panels (which meant needing additional inverter capacity). Each time, Myah responded quickly and handled everything smoothly. I had lots of technical questions after watching various YouTube videos about system features, and she always came back promptly with clear answers. The roofing team, Kaine and Haiden, were the real standout — the crown jewels of the project. Once the rails and panels were installed, their role was technically complete, but Kaine clearly took pride in the final finish. He stayed to actively support the electrical team, which helped keep the installation on schedule and ensured cables were neatly concealed. Even with a new rule change requiring a 10mm gap between panels — and without having a jig available — he still managed to achieve a very clean, professional look. The electrical installation carried out by Joe and Jude was also excellent. The scope of work proved too much for the planned two days, and Joe returned alone on day three to finish the job. Despite a few setup challenges — largely caused by my own late design changes — he remained patient, methodical, and determined to get everything working perfectly. He demonstrated that Impact isn’t just about fitting systems quickly; they genuinely care about getting things right. Final thoughts: solar is a long-term investment, and it needs to integrate seamlessly with your home while being robust enough to stand the test of time. Impact clearly understands this, and their workmanship reflects it. They didn’t just install a system — they delivered an experience, and it’s fair to say they’ve truly left a lasting Impact.

Hi I was so pleased with the service from Impact Solar - from the admin team to the guys who came and fitted the panels and did the electrics. They've done a brilliant job and we are really happy with our new panels. I would thoroughly recommend this company, nice to have a reliable local supplier.

Incompetent and unprofessional failure to support.

I do not recommend this company. Whilst installation was competent they now fail completely to deal with an ongoing problem seemingly caused by the second battery that they were so happy to install. The so called technical team have clearly failed to understand the problem and attempt to pass blame to the manufacturer is unprofessional. (Oh and don’t bother to try to contact the MD despite his inspiring biog).

Faults and failures not dealt with after initial sale

Following some frustrating issues, over a period of time, we do now have a stable system. The team are polite and professional, but the issues should have been prioritised and resolved much quicker.

We have just had our solar panel and battery installation by Impact Services. At every stage every member of staff we dealt with were professional, polite and very knowledgeable. The quotation was very competitive and payment is made after the work has been satisfactorily finished. The panel installation team was excellent and completed the work to schedule despite nasty winter weather. The electricians made very neat work of all the cables and equipment. The office staff have been very responsive both before and after installation. We had the feeling this is a company who look after their own team as well as their customers. Highly recommended!

Excellent communication from the survey through to the installation. These guys are the best !!

Recently had some Solar panels installed by these guys. From the initial consultation period all the way through to the install, Impact have been brilliant. Callum explained everything about the process and Myah & Regan kept me up to date and on the ball pre-install. The guys who then came and done the electrics and roof work were brilliant aswell. Was kept upto date during the install, explained what was happening and what each component was, they left the property as if no one had been here. Thanks guys! Forgot to add, the goodie bag was a nice touch.

We are really pleased with the service offered by Impact Services. It has been a smooth process from start to finish. It started with James coming out to do the survey and talk us through the process. Then a few emails from the guys and girls in the office going through the paperwork we have to sign and return. Potentially difficult job made easy…

Ours wasn’t a straightforward installation, but of the several companies who surveyed and quoted, Impact services was the most professional and knowledgeable. They understood our needs and their technical knowledge identified a workable and straightforward installation plan. The teams involved in the physical installation were prompt and polite. Where installation issues were encountered the teams leaders were quick to communicate and able to quickly find solutions. Communications with the office were a breeze, if an identified staff member wasn’t available others were able and prepared to expedite enquiries. My experience of Impact is that they are a professional and experienced company with a knowledgeable and willing staff. I would certainly recommend this company to anyone going down toe solar route.

Professional company, A-team installation

Initial home survey was conducted in a professional and thorough manner identifying all potential improvements. The installation works by all trades was extremely good. The technicians installing the internal insulation worked from 8.00 am to 8.30 pm and were very competent and polite. The central heating and boiler were installed in a timely and masterly fashion by a great team. The loft insulation was not too technical ( I jest !) but again the work was undertaken very well. Cavity wall insulation was undertaken by a 3rd party, who communicated and undertook the work excellently. Electrical works were completed by a great team of lads. Communication with head office was very good. I would recommend this company as all works were undertaken professionally and well within time.

From start to finish getting my solar installed by Impact has been so simply refreshing. No hard sales pitch just answered my questions and gave great advice. Absolutely terrible experience, a key accounts manager named Myah Hopes who works for this company needs customer service training. She was in contact via email, I have reported her antics. She was extremely pushy, she failed to listen to our requests numerous times and tried bragging that I was unqualified to tell her that my solar panel system was working perfectly, proof was in the low monthly electricity bills when its sunny,(this company had NO part in installation, as the panels have been on this property for a number of years) We did not require their services to "check the system", We only required a solar panel clean, but the weather has done the job without the stress we've had from The company. We wouldn't recommend this company and have refused them access to the property and let the landlord know. (EDIT) A shambolic and fabricated response from the company. Our emails were not hostile in the slightest, the communications between the company and ourselves have been sent to saffrons electrical team as we raised our concerns to them via a phone call regarding the treatment we've received. We refused you any appointment as your services are not required, we only wanted a panel clean, the weather has done a fantastic job. The solar electrics are spot on as we've stated numerous times via email, but no, push push push, ignore what the tenant says even though they live in the property. Its Absolute madness. You didn't like it as we have told you you are dismissed. Here are our responses via email. Nothing aggressive about them. Email 1. Good Afternoon, Sorry unfortunately we are not available Tuesday. We do not require the solar electrical system checking as it functions at intended, that is confirmed by our electricity bills per month. We only required the panels themselves to be cleaned. Is this an option moving forward to have the panels cleaned only. Kind Regards Email 2 Good Afternoon, If your not going to listen to what I have asked for ie just for the solar panels to be cleaned. I will not go ahead with any appointments. The system does not need to be checked at present. We have already stated we have declined the solar panel electrics to be checked as they work as intended. Can you confirm that you are only coming out to clean the panels? Failing that you will not be attending the property or allowed access. Kind Regards Email 3 Good Afternoon, as we have stated numerous times. We do not require these works. We only asked for the panels to be cleaned. It has rained and the panels are now clean. We will be cancelling and refusing all the works. We do not require your services, you are dismissed and will be refused entry. We have a log of the ignorant emails from yourselves, ie the ignoring of our requests, saying we're not qualified, saying you try will still enter my home without or without our consent. That will not be happening.

Very happy with our installation of solar panels and battery. Impact are an excellent company. I would like to give an extra special mention of Kerry, such a lovely lady who kept in contact with me all weekend when our system wouldn't work. Also, to Joe and Lewis who diagnosed the problem within minutes and rectified the wiring. I have no hesitation in giving Impact 5 stars despite our teething problems. We had full confidence in them even when things went wrong, thanks again Kerry.

I highly recommend Impact services. A competitive quote with no quibble guarantee was provided. Scafolders were professional and friendly. Front desk staff were helpful and effective. The surveyor was friendly and knowledgeable. The roofers were friendly and did a great job. The electricians were great and efficient. It is unusual to state that the entire end to end process was of a high quality. I have confidence that this company would rectify any issues if they did arrive.

Genuinely outstanding company

Genuinely outstanding company and team. Whole process from start to finish was efficient, informative, credible and great value. Proper family company determined to ensure that they are the right choice in the East of England. The solar / battery system was commissioned and running by lunchtime and my grid consumption was zero for the rest of the day!

Solar PV and battery storage system.

I am so glad that I found this local company whilst researching for a Solar PV system which also included battery storage. From the initial consultation, which was carried out by an extremely competent and professional member of the team to the final installation, nothing was too much trouble for them. My first quote was a little outside of my budget, but speaking to the quotes team, they were able to redraft the quote to a very acceptable price. The longest part of the whole process was waiting for approval from the DNO which usually takes 4 to 6 weeks. Once that was approved, and getting a mains isolator fitted, the rest of the process took place with no problems. The scaffolders turned up exactly on time, they were very professional and careful in erecting the scaffolding. The team were punctual on the day of installation and began immediately. At one point I was informed that there was insufficient space to fit 8 panels on one aspect of the roof and they would have to fit only 7. This was no problem and they continued with the installation. I had asked the company to install a Myenergi Harvi, but the electricians suggested this would be unnecessary as they could connect directly into the zappi I had. This has turned out to be very helpful. The installation team cleared up after they had finished, taking the old panels and inverter with them for proper recycling. I was given a comprehensive explanation of the system and that when I changed my energy provider to Octpus, a phone call to their technical team and they would remotely setup the system app to correctly use the Intelligent Octopus Go tariff. I have been so impressed by all aspects of my interaction with this company and would have no hesitancy in recommending them.

Absolutely a superb service from initial contact through to a professional installation by a group of own employees (no subcontractors) all fitted out in clean company work attire, who arrived on time installed the system, explained the working and left the site clean and tidy

The team that came were punctual, friendly and efficient at all times. Each one of them was extremely professional and personable. Everything was explained clearly; this included both the installation of the actual panels, as well as the electrical system and the app. Any questions or queries I had were answered and explained in a simple, clear manner. The experienced and professional engineers arrived promptly and without any delay got straight to work. Their experience and knowledge enabled the interior cabling to go a shorter non evasive route than first thought which was wonderful news as we had just decorated. The installation went without a hitch, they kept me informed throughout explaining which bits did what. They left the area clean and tidy and showed me in detail how everything works. They were very patient with me too 😁 I am so happy with the installation and the products and would absolutely highly recommend this company.

From start to finish Impact have been excellent and very accommodating. Always willing to answer my many questions and change the project design to suit. The teams that worked on site were also excellent, very polite and tidied up nicely after the work was complete. James and the team fitted the panels while Andy and his assistant sorted all the electrics out. Again, onsite the teams were very accommodating to our wishes. Highly recommended.

The whole process of installing PV panels, EV charger and a house battery was clear, concise and very informative. The process started with a visit from a representative who did not try any hard sell tactics, but spent a long time at our home going over the various options explaining them carefully in language I could understand. We compared their estimate with others and found them to be competitive. We particularly liked the fact that they were local to our area and they employed all the labour used to fit and commission the system. The fit and commissioning process took a day and a half and at all times the staff were cheerful and very professional in the way they acted. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Impact services installed our solar panels and inverter, on behalf of E.ON Next, yesterday. The whole team were well presented, polite, helpful with enquiries and very neat in their work. They made certain that the app was working on my phone and that I understood how to monitor the system before they left. I am very pleased with the installation and quality of the work and service. I would not hesitate to use Impact Services again. My experience with E.ON (excellent customer service) suggests that Impact Services must maintain these very high standards as a chosen contractor. My neighbour had the same team from Impact Services install his E.ON solar panels in May last year and he is equally satisfied.

Electricians arrived at 8:30 and installed the inverter and batteries by 11:30. The solar panels installation then arrived and by 16:30 they had fitted and connected the 8 panels. Great job done! All clean and tidy - most professional job done by the team from Impact Services. I would recommend them without hesitation.
