Disgraceful
Disgraceful. A Gasway van, driven by Alan Web hit my son's car last November, coming off a roundabout overtaking stationary cars and cutting in in front of us, taking the wing out. His first car, pride and joy. Mr Web accepted liability but the company's insurers never responded when we contacted them. Went through our insurance to claim and Gasway disputed. Cost us £400.00 to repair the damage they caused. Unacceptable company behaviour.

Not a good experience at all!. The engineer who arrived at my house on the 27/02/2026 - 11:30 ish, was very rude and impolite from the very beginning in phoning to confirm he was on his way to being very sharp and abrupt in answering general questions that I have. Very dissatisfied to say the least. This is definitely a complaint which requires full investigation!!
Totally unprofessional
I found the company Absolutely disgraceful. Unable to fix my boiler which was under a cover plan with Domestic and General, they accused me or a third party of interfering with the boiler, ouch!... Why on earth would I even attempt to touch boiler or have some else work on it when I was paying for a maintenance and service contact. What a cop out to not being able to repair the boiler, but worse still, Domestic and General accepted the word of a cowboy Gasway fitter than a loyal customer. Shame on on you Gasway.
A gas Safety check review.
A gas Safety check was booked for a specific day and time and they turned up and completed the job in a timely efficient manner. The engineer was pleasant and helpful and even allowed my dog to say hello to him to settle him down. I couldn't have wished for a better service!!

Would like to give zero stars unbelievable.UPDATED..
Would like to give zero stars, but at least they turned up. Simple job, bathroom radiator changing to a towel radiator. Excuse job not done don’t have the tools on the van. Drill and spirit level can’t believe it . Rescheduled for three weeks time, hopefully don’t mind getting their hands dirty. So I can see why a very low score on here. engineer superstitious as it’s Friday the 13th. Head over to Gasway website reviews see the response. As I left a review on the site. See the customer care didn’t even read my review just let AI answer. Maybe get AI come and change our radiator. Update…..3-3-26 Let down again got to wait 3 more weeks. Reason the operative is busy doing an all day job so you only have one person able to fit a radiator seriously. You don’t want me to believe this. So new date given 24-3-26 we will book another day off so you can mess around again ? The start job to fit towel radiator booked in. 11-2-26. If you don’t want the job let me know happy to find credited plumber.
Great customer service and fantastic engineer
Great customer service, organised an engineer to suit me around my working schedule. Plus the lovely engineer then called the day before to say he had space if I was available, which I did. The engineer, I think his name was Ryan, was so kind and lovely, took his boots off straight away at the door, really polite, it was basically my user error, but he was so helpful, also gave me some advice on how the new system works etc as I did not have a clue, thank you Gasway.

I have always had excellently service from gas way My heating broke down late Saturday night I had an electric fire as backup and came early Sunday.The engineer was so helpful soon found the problem and fixed it.He was very polite and friendly.The service is always Very good
Richard and Zak were great, fixed boiler which looked like beyond saving. Thank you so much! Richard has been here multiple times now in the past couple of years, it is a very old boiler, and every time he does his job with care and efficiency. Thank you again!
Warning to Other Customers
My Experience With Gasway Ltd I feel it’s important to warn other customers about my recent experience with Gasway Ltd, which has resulted in significant financial loss and has forced me to replace my boiler at my own expense. Based on what happened, I am now preparing to take legal action against the company. 1. Inaccurate and Misleading Engineer Report The report Gasway submitted to Domestic & General who I had my Boiler cover with, did not match what actually happened in my home. The repair was not completed. Parts they claimed were fitted were never installed or left on site. The engineer’s account of the visit was not accurate. These inaccuracies directly affected my insurance claim with Domestic & General 2. Serious Concerns About Part Replacement When British Gas removed my boiler, they found the gas valve label had been deliberately scratched off. This strongly suggests the part was never replaced, despite Gasway later claiming it was. The same engineer attended both visits, which raises major concerns about honesty and conduct. 3. Unprofessional Behaviour The engineer on site spent a large amount of time on his mobile phone dealing with personal matters. This lack of focus makes me question the quality of the assessment and the reliability of the report Gasway submitted. 4. False Allegation of Tampering Gasway later accused me (or someone else) of interfering with a part — a completely false claim with no evidence to support it. The allegation of a 'third party interference' ,which was made by Gasway to my insurers made no sense, especially as I had boiler cover to avoid paying for repairs myself. Why would we pay to bring in another contactor, pay foe any boiler parts and their labour when we had cover in place already with Domoestic & General. 5. Financial Impact Because of Gasway’s inaccurate reporting and false allegations, Domestic & General refused us further help. I has no choice but to replace the boiler with a new one, which was supplied and fitted by British Gas. I will now be taking legal action to recover these costs and reporting Gasway to Trading Standards. 6. Lack of Transparency I have requested all engineer notes, photos, parts records, and internal communication relating to my repair. I expect full disclosure but none has come forward. The above comments are made based on my experience with Gasway and Domestic & General.
Disgraceful. I was hit in my sons first car, his pride and joy, by Gasway engineer Allen Web driving like an idiot and cutting into stationary single lane traffic coming off a roundabout. Messed up my boys right driver wing with £400.00 damage. Allen took liability at the scene and apologized profusely. Now Gasway are disputing the liability claim saying I was at fault - whilst stationary! Cannot believe a reputable company would be so underhand. Disgusting corporate unaccountability. We will be taking matters further. Gasway... Full of hot air and don't care. Certainly wouldn't trust them in my house!
Outstanding service today, I called due to an issue with the heating, engineer came out same day, good communication, letting me know when he was due to arrive. Adam the engineer was very professional and sorted the fault which was much trickier than anticipated. Thanks again, definitely would recommend.
Unfortunately, I had no say in this company coming to my house as they were contracted by my home insurance. Issue 1) the guy 'M' came and seemed less than bothered to be there. He denied seeing water marks are the bottom of my boiler depsite me seeing it and using my torch to show him. It was wild when he said he couldnt see anything 2) on his advice saying "the boiler was fine" we got trace and access to our home with the privilidge of needing to pay £500 excess to do so. Trace and access came and said my AAV valve on my boiler was leaking water, hence the drop in pressure, hence the very clear dried water marks at the bottom of my boiler. Trace and access said it was as clear as day. But the reason why it wasn't clear as day to the gasway engineer is because he never took the top cover from my boiler. Never. Depsite saying he did in his report. The reason I know this is because to get to the top of my boiler, you have to take off my big cabinet lid which he did not do. 3) I called gasway to complain. I was told they would not send the same engineer as I did not trust him. Low and behold, same guy arrived at my door. When I called gasway to ask what on earth he's doing there, they said it's fine as he's being shadowed and wouldn't be touching the boiler. Yes he was. He was touching the boiler. So after being put on hold, it's because the guy he was being shadowed by isn't not oil boiler qualified. It's wild 4) same guy then said the AAV is leaking a bit but that's nornal. No, it's not, I even called Grant who is the manufacture of my boiler and then further installation engineer authorised by Grant who said no that's why it's an air valve, it's for air, not water. I had to call gasway to tell them to leave my house. I will never ever let them come near my home and I will be reporting this further.

Boiler failed Xmas Eve
Boiler failed Xmas Eve. Told it was the fan. No heat or water over Xmas and the following 21 days. Phoned on day after Boxing Day. Engineer came out. Can’t fit new fan as they cost £400. Called them every day to come and get the boiler running but as soon as they leave it goes off. Each time fitted new part. We are both in our 90s and this whole episode took 24 days and 10 engineers for us to have normal heating and hot water. After 19 days a very nice young man - Daniel came and said he would order new fan. 3 days later they came to install it but took it away because they said it wasn’t the fan but a cable and that it would take a week to get! During that time they brought the new fan back and decided to install it to see if it solved the problem. It did and the boiler worked perfectly. This was 3 weeks after the first engineer said it was faulty! They clearly do not know what they are doing. The only bright light here is Daniel. He is too good for them and should join another company.
Received postal communication quadruple…
Having requested not to receive postal communications in triple Gasway did not listen to my concern about environmental waste and sent the next postal communication to me in quadruple (4X). Little wonder bills are high with such inepitude and failure to heed complaints.
Emergency call centre staff are rude & unprofessional
Called their emergency number due to no heating or hot water and a leaking water tank in an upstairs bedroom, spoke to a guy called Callum who said no one can visit untill tomorrow, ok fair enough, but then i asked him what I could do in the meantime as i have a water leak, to be met with a shocking attitude! I asked him if there was someone I could he passed onto who might be able to help advise me as he said he couldn't help me, to be met with attitude and sarcasm and told no there's only 3 people here, so said ok so can I speak to a supervisor or someone above him as his attitude and laughing wasn't proffessional ? that question was met with more attitude and laughter from him, so i asked for his name, to be told that he already gave that to me when he answered the phone at the start of the call, i told him we've been on the phone a while now and I didn't catch his name, so can I please have it again? he then proceeded to repeatedly 2 or 3 times tell me that he gave it to me already every time i asked for it, along with more unneeded attitude 🙄 I even asked him what his problem was because there was no need for it! i finally got his name from him after a back and forth with a load of attitude to go with it and him laughing again, also with his caller ID number that he sarcastically offered too, so I took it :) he was completely unprofessional and had an attitude that stinks especially when someone is simply asking for advice and help with water leaking into their home and no engineer being available to come out that day. Callum is clearly in the wrong job and needs more training in customer service, I've made a formal complaint and will be taking it further, I'm just glad that they record these calls!
Richard attended at 8.30 this morning and was here for 2 hrs, what a top guy, extremely knowledgeable, knew exactly what the problem was before he even started!! Spent time explaining everything to us, very friendly & an asset to your company. Thank you

Totally incompetent.
Totally incompetent. Gasway are responsible for the maintenance of my solid fuel heating system. Since Flagship Housing contracted them to update the system, it has never worked correctly. Their excuse is a lack of certified solid fuel engineers. Gas engineers are sent who cannot do the work, parts cannot be obtained yet I found the parts available for delivery within 48 hours. The office have no idea and advise will "be in touch" but they never do, yet say there is nothing outstanding on their records. Contacted again today with no conclusion. A previous report to the Council's Tenant's Voice for failure to attend when booked was upheld.

Just had a visit from Richard such a lovely man. Discovered a leak in my boiler on a routine boiler service and went out of his way to fix it for me. Went above and beyond and I am so appreciative. What a lovely man he is super efficient Very friendly and kind I’m very professional.

I would never use them again
I am writing this review to highlight the extremely poor and dishonest experience I had with Gasway following their visits to attend to a faulty boiler in July and August of this year on behalf of Domestic General. Gasway initially attended in July but failed to rectify the fault. When the issue persisted and they returned in August, instead of taking responsibility, their engineer made a shocking and false allegation: that a third party had interfered with the boiler and replaced a part he had already fitted. He even claimed we had told him another contractor had been used—an outright lie. This accusation is not only baseless but insulting. Why would we involve another contractor when we were under a valid service and maintenance agreement with Domestic & General? Common sense alone makes their claim absurd. To add insult to injury, the fitter alleged the part he installed was no longer present and claimed to have photographic evidence, which has never been shared. We lodged a formal complaint with Domestic & General, who passed the matter to yet another third party for investigation. That was over two months ago. We have still not received a letter of apology, nor any acknowledgment that Gasway’s statements were misleading. The contract has since been cancelled, but the way this has been handled—false allegations, delays, and complete lack of accountability—is totally unacceptable. For the record, during the July visit the Gasway fitter spent more time making personal calls on his mobile than focusing on the repair. Had he given the job his full attention, the fault might well have been resolved then and there. This entire experience has left me angry, disappointed, and without trust in either Gasway or Domestic & General. I would never allow Gasway to attend my property again, nor would I recommend their services to anyone. Customers deserve honesty, professionalism, and respect—none of which were shown here.
Richard came and managed to sort the problem that couldn’t be resolved on a previous visit by a different engineer. He went through everything and stayed working on the boiler until he’d sorted and fixed the issues. No rushing and stayed until he was satisfied he had definitely sorted the ongoing problems.
Thank you so much to Richard for not only sorting our annual boiler service but to also notice that our boiler needed major repairs and sort them for us on the day of his visit. We could of gone a week without hot water and heating if he hadn't of been so efficient. Richard was very friendly and helpful and we would definitely recommend him to anyone. Thanks again Richard we really appreciate it.

Boiler problem reported at 8.30am. Engineer arrived in an hour and a half. Problem diagnosed. Part sourced and fitted by 1.30pm on the same day. Brilliant, polite and efficient service by Darren.
Richard came to our flat to check the boiler, which was showing an error. He was very friendly and professional, taking the time to check the loft for safety, even though it wasn’t easy to access. He carefully inspected the boiler and identified two issues, demonstrating that he knows exactly what he’s doing. Richard was efficient, thorough, and kind throughout the visit. I highly recommend him.

After a 50 minute discussion with a bot and”possibly” human all via text whose font I could barely read I was asked for my payment details. I HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH BRITISH GAS from whic they withdraw money every month. Why the Hell can’t they access that? 50 mins were enough. I contacted Gaswsy via phone and was connected to Amanda instantly We got it sorted v quickly and arranged a next day visit for me. What a difference. And this what’ was nearly at 10pm. Brilliant job Amanda and GasWsy.
The driver/engineer operating this van damaged the front garden of my property. He/she clearly noticed what happened — even stopped, reversed, and looked — then drove off without taking any responsibility. It was a hit-and-run. The van itself is visibly damaged. Be cautious if you plan to use this company.
The service I receive from Gasway is excellent. They always send the same engineer which is helpful for continuity if there are any issues. Kevin is always prompt, helpful and very good at his job. I would not hesitate to recommend.
Richard went and beyond to fix My boiler. He’s done a brilliant job very efficient and professional would highly recommend. He’s the best boiler man we e ever had.

Richard was fantastic. Despite arriving at 18:00 on a Friday evening, he did not leave until everything was sorted. He kept me fully informed at all times. It was after 21.00 when he left. He was very professional and tidy. I am very grateful for the care and time he put into sorting the problem out.
