Chris and Fletcher explained the process before we committed but once we had the work started soon after. We were really impressed by the team who were super polite and did a really great job. The solar panels look great and the battery is smaller than expected and looks very smart. We are over the moon with the finished result and looking forward to saving lots of money on our electricity bill. We can highly recommend Turnpike Electrical and fabulous company.

Chris & the team were fantastic from the original phone call with Chris to discuss my requirements, his site visit to help decide the correct number of panels & battery type necessary for our property before the installation itself. Chris's team were very friendly & considerate during the installation - I work from home but the team were not a nuisance at all. Chris helped me understand how the battery & panels work on the App & webpage & even chased the registration for my feed-in tariff whilst he was on holiday! In terms of the panels & battery they have been superb - I wanted to wait some months before reviewing to make sure any bugs were ironed out and to be honest there was none. Extremely happy with everything Turnpike have done for me. Definitely recommend Turnpike electricals!

Had 18 panels plus battery installed. Nothing was too much trouble and the whole team was friendly and professional. Would happily recommend.

Chris and team were recommended to me by my partner’s parents, and my own parents who both had recently had large systems installed, Chris was very helpful upon recommending 5 large 600w panels for our garage in addition to the 9 on the house, these are in a great position with a long exposure to the sunlight throughout the day and these contribute to often out performing my parents system which is double the size. Chris was able to fit us in within less than 3 weeks from confirmation and fitted within a week, there were a couple of teething issues when completed and these were fixed promptly with Chris even sending an extra engineer out to us on a Sunday to make sure it was working for us. I cannot fault the system and the savings it will afford us for the amount the system produces effortlessly even on a rainy day

Chris did our solar panel installation with batteries and pigeon protection. He did a tidy, efficient job and completed on time. the system has to cope with a heat pump in addition to normal use. I can tell from my bills that It is working well ever since.

I contact Chris at Turnpike after a recommendation. He visited me 2 days later and provided a quote for a PV & battery storage the same day. I was happy with the quote so instructed him to proceed. The quote included the PV installation including the scaffolding, roof work & electrical work. 1 week later he started and was completed in 3 days. Great job.

Turnpike installed my system in June and I found Chris and his team were incredibly honest and helpful from advice on the system before quoting right through to agreeing how it was to be installed and final commission and registration. The quote was also far more competitive than exactly the same system by other nationally operating companies also. I can’t fault anything in terms of the installation or operation over the last 4 months and he’s been very helpful in providing advice post installation also.

Chris, did an excellent job - he advised on the best system to meet my needs and now we have significant returns from export to the grid, and lots of free electricity. He has been very quick to respond to calls for help in setting up the support application and I am very happy to give him my highest recommendation as a quality installer who will give you value for money.

Great experience using Turnpike. Initial consultation was done by the owner Chris who made us feel at ease with everything and took us through the whole process. The price offered was very reasonable and in fact came in slightly less than we originally put a side for the work. We were even provided with lots of evidence of their previous work through photos as well as a list of previous customers who we could have spoken to should we have wanted to before going ahead. There was no pressure applied throughout this consultation to go ahead with the work like you find with some of the larger companies when their sales reps attend. It was a very relaxed talk with everything being fully explained. Chris even showed us the system he has and how it works for him and his family, showing that he stands by the products he uses which made it better for us. A few days later we contacted Chris and booked in the installation with ease with a short window before the installation date which suited us perfectly. When the installation day came, Chris and his team arrived on time and were very friendly, polite and clean in all of the work being done, even offering to do the repair to the roof which was desperately needed, ensuring to show us what the damage due to water ingress was before we discussed repair and the cost implication, which was a extremely reasonable, as we had multiple cracked slates which were replaced and wood which had become rotten, which was also replaced. The work was done to a great standard with all of the system being fully explained to us with demonstrations when it came to the app, and all of the services which we needed for the PV Solar Array and the battery storage system. We have had the system in place now since June and it has worked a treat, bringing down our bills dramatically. Especially as I have a plug in hybrid car which I charge pretty much daily. Chris is always on the end of the phone should we have any issues or questions that we need help with. I would definitely recommend Turnpike to anyone who is thinking of having solar panels and/or a battery storage system installed. They took all of the waste away with them. Cannot fault the service which was provided to us.

We had Chris and his team install a pretty large solar system including batteries in our home. His advice was sound and although we don’t face south he explained how it would benefit us. Since the installation I have been amazed at the efficiency of the system and its ease of use. Chris (and all subcontractors) have been polite, tidy, honest and overall good people do business with. They provided accurate pricing and timescales for installation which was completed pretty much exactly as expected. I would have no hesitation in recommending them for similar work.

Chris and Fletcher were fantastic. Completely knew their stuff, and were happy to talk me through it at lent on the phone before I booked them in. They were then able to do the job at relatively short notice, especially compared to others, and at a good price. And most importantly They came promptly on the day, did a fantastic job of the installation, even spending a while successfully troubleshooting an issue from my previous installation. They’ve been happy to support post installation, and finally, they were really nice and friendly guys! 10/10

I highly recommend Chris and his team! Their work for installing my solar panels and batteries was excellent and after a few months of using it, it’s still running perfectly. They showed up on time, were extremely efficient and can confirm if you have any concerns these guys can make you comfortable and do fantastic work.

I had an ailing 12 year old solar system that was becoming problematic and obviously less efficient. Chris and his team have given me very prompt attention along with very useful technical advise. The work they have done is top quality and I now have a fully overhauled and operational system. I have no hesitation in recommending Turnpike and will continue to use them.

Chris advised us to have panels on the east facing roof as well as the west and this has proved to be very sound advice. The system is functioning far better than I expected, even though it’s only March. Turnpike provided a very competitive quote, which they stuck with, despite a couple of minor difficulties. The start was delayed a few days due to weather, but they kept us informed. The work was carried out efficiently and cleanly and the system was up and running within three days of the start. I have no hesitation in recommending Chris and his team.

As you will see from all the reviews, Chris and his team have been brilliant. They installed a PV and battery system going the extra mile in wind, rain and cold! Excellent workmanshoip and everything left really neat and tidy.

Chris and his team installed a 7000kw solar PV system with two batteries on our house; part roof integrated and part on-roof. The whole process was quick and Chris is very knowledgeable and professional. We changed a few things mid way through the installation. The team were very accommodating of this and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend this company.
