We recently had our new air source heat pump installed by the team at Greenwave Renewables, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the service provided. From start to finish, the team worked to an exceptionally high standard. The installation was carried out with minimal disruption to our home, and great care was taken to avoid unnecessary damage or mess. It was clear that the team takes real pride in their workmanship, as every aspect of the fitting was completed neatly and professionally. They were also extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain how the system works, answering all of our questions in a clear and helpful way. Their friendly and professional approach made the whole process smooth and stress-free. We would highly recommend Greenwave Renewables to anyone considering an air source heat pump installation.

We had just bought a property and wanted to replace the current LPG system with an air source heat pump before the LPG in the tank ran out, so we didn’t need to enter into a 2-year contract with the LPG supplier and pay any termination or tank removal charges. Therefore, as you can imagine, it was a bit of a race against time, so it was much appreciated that Greenwave acted fast, especially considering this was over the Christmas / new year period! It was just over a month from me contacting them through Checkatrade (23 December) to the heat pump being installed (26-27 January). A week after the first contact, Mark came out to conduct a heat loss survey and put together a proposal and provide a quote. Mark was friendly and down to earth, knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions I had, and tweak the plan to my preferences. The proposal was very comprehensive and informative. The proposal was for installation of a Clivet Edge Evo 2.0 Mono 5.1, four new larger radiators (around ⅓ of our radiators) which needed upgrading due to ASHP’s lower operating temperatures and target temperatures based on the room purpose (i.e., living room vs utility room or W/C), and a larger unvented water cylinder. A week or so later when the office was back open, my installation date was confirmed. The team showed up around 8-9 on the day of installation and got straight to it. Lee, Dan, Luke, Brandon 1, and Brandon 2 (apologies if I’ve missed or got anyone’s names wrong…), were all equally friendly, efficient, respectful of the property, and kept me informed throughout the installation. Work finished around 1:30pm on the second day, and Lee talked me through how to use the system / best practices for system efficiency before heading off. The property was left very tidy for the most part, with only a couple of spots missed which I soon cleaned up afterwards. I was informed on the first day that the Homely smart controller had not been delivered as intended and I am still waiting for this currently (+1 week) but it has been raised internally. This is only a fairly minor thing, that would just allow me to reduce costs slightly by setting schedules around my tariff and have visibility over it in the app. I am able to control the temperature of the rads and water, which is the main thing. As Greenwave are a Clivet-approved installer, you can enjoy a 10-year warranty if the heat pump is installed and serviced by them. Kaitlyn helpfully answered some queries I had about their service plans, and Erin was also helpful keeping me informed throughout the installation and confirming receipt of payment. The house took a long time to heat up initially after installation (not really heating up fully until the next morning) but I don’t believe this to be any fault of Greenwave, and more just of heat pumps being much more effective at maintaining rather than driving a temperature, and it being 4 degrees outside. Sometimes the actual temp will land at +- 1-2 degrees C either side of the target temp that I have set, but again I don't imagine this is any fault of theirs and just a quirk of the heat pump! The heat pump has seemed pretty expensive on the colder days, but we are coming from a much smaller house so I think this would have been a shock regardless - we just didn’t see the cost of the LPG going up on a smart meter (maybe I should put it somewhere less visible…) like we would electric or mains gas, although the % volume gauge was going down pretty quickly! We are in the process of switching to a better-suited tariff, and will also be getting some additional solar panels and a battery (which we will certainly be considering Greenwave for), so hopefully this will improve things quite a bit! Overall, a week on, a happy customer.

We have recently had solar and battery system installed by Greenwave Renewables. Struan was very approachable and quickly answered all our queries. Appreciated being given time to consider our options without any pressure. The installers took their time to explain everything to us and help us to set up the app. Very happy with the whole process.

I’m extremely surprised by some of the reviews here. We have had nothing but trouble with Greenwave. Missed deadlines, lack of communication, disorganisation, staffing issues, poor customer service and the heat pump system still doesn’t work properly after ~4 months, so the house is cold, the water is periodically cold and the cost is extortionate. They’ve been blaming set up, then configuration and now apparently it’s a manufacturer issue. We are on the verge of taking legal action - I now understand why heat pumps have such a poor reputation - it’s not the technology, it’s the installers.

Couldn't have been easier! friendly informative advice, Mark was very professional and incredibly efficient as well as being able to answer questions and be a point of contact after the initial house inspection. Very efficient installation crew (plumbers and electricians), who were friendly, courteous and worked incredibly efficiently informing me of up dates and advice. The following day the clear up team arrived at 9am and again were very friendly and cleared all waste away. Excellent service would defiantly recommend.

We recently a heat pump and solar installed the process was easy right from the start to finish , although we had one or two hiccups on the way these were soon sorted ,very please with the set up.

Very professional service from start to finish on my solar installation. From their initial visit we gained a lot of information from Struan who was able to tell us how many panels and where to put them and about the battery storage . We were kept informed all the way through and on the day of installation the guys were great . They took time to set up the app for us and explain it all. We would highly recommend Greenwave . We have a heat pump being fitted by them in a few weeks time.

Installed a heat pump which is very quiet with no vibrations. So far it appears to be working as planned. Too early to determine the cost savings.

I recently had solar panels and batteries installed by Greenwave, and the whole experience has been excellent from start to finish. Every member of the team – from the roofers and scaffolders to the electricians – all were friendly, professional, and clearly took pride in their work. A special mention goes to Struan the surveyor who carried out the initial consultation and the final handover and Kaitlyn in Operations who kept me updated throughout the process. Both were extremely knowledgeable, explained everything clearly, and were a genuine pleasure to deal with. I’m very happy with the installation and the service provided. and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Greenwave to anyone considering solar.

Fitters/plumbers were in and out very quickly. Electrics were changed OK. Plenty of hot water. It is not yet cold enough to test the heating. The only thing missing is a tutorial on how to work the system or a manual on heat pumps for dummies as I cannot understand the fitting and maintenance manual provided.

We were thoroughly impressed with the work of the installers. Their level of professionalism, application to the job at hand, and the speed at which they completed the installation, was exceptional. We found Greenwave Renewables an easy firm to communicate with, and any issues were quickly dealt with.

We had an excellent experience from start to finish. The team was professional, friendly and really took the time to advise us. Communication was clear throughout and the installation was completed quickly to a very high standard. Everything was left neat and tidy. Very Happy with Heat pump installation. We had Mark Harvey from Greenways come to see us to talk about an air source heat pump. We were very impressed, he gave us a presentation, and answered all our questions. No hard sell, he told us to ring him if we were interested and he would come back. He came back to measure all the rooms, note the size of radiators, and give us a written report detailing the advantages and radiator changes if required. We were happy to go ahead, and a few weeks later their team turned up and were very helpful with the installation. We had El, at Greenways, as our contact, and she was very helpful with any queries and running the installation. We would thoroughly recommend Greenways, and we are warm and happy with our heat pump. Suffice to say we’ve just asked Mark back to give us the advantages of a Solar panel array. Again no hard sell, and we are waiting for his report for the family to discuss.’

Very helpful. We have not yet tested heating in cold weather but installation was good with helpful and very pleasant installers.

REVIEW PART ONE. Mark visited our home in Doddinghurst Essex yesterday 4/8/25, for a survey and to produce full heat loss report, What a great guy, and very professional, here for over 3 hours. He went though the report and suggested the right heat pump size and model. We have signed for the installation which will be in 3 weeks time. EPC report/visit booked for next week. Mark introduced me to Caitlin from their office who made all the appointments and dealt with the deposit etc. All in all very impressed with the company and support. Great team. Installed and removed the old oil boiler in one day! Minimal fuss and not any damage. Followed up with a visit to show me how to use the System. Thank you

I highly recommend this business. The customer service was second to none. We had a lovely man called Mark come out to do our heating survey. The staff is not only friendly but also highly skilled. The company helped me out with my bathroom after being let down countless times by other tradesmen. They stepped in and helped us out and listened to us. We can't thank them enough. Very happy with the system. Much quieter than the oil fired boiler it replaced. Plumbing work is the neatest I have seen. Installation was quick. Some minor issues with arrangements relative to when we would be available on site. These things happen and what counts in the end is how the company deals with it. We were very satisfied with the way Greenwave reacted. Good customer service and follow up.
