Great solar and battery installation

Biotech Renewables were the installer for a solar panel and battery system we purchased through Heatable. We wanted to give them a review. Richard and the team were great. Richard conducted the pre-install site visit. Nothing was too much problem and as solar novices he ran through all the details with us. Their installation team were great. They started and finished a day early, even going as far as swapping some broken roof tiles with good ones they took out during the installation. Finish on all the work is really smart and neat.

It was a great experience for beginning to end. We were well looked after and they worked really hard to do the solar/battery install

Richard and his team did a fantastic job installing 12 panels on 3 aspects together with a Sigenergy battery/inverter despite the rain and cold temperatures of November. It's not easy choosing a solar installer and I would have no hesitation in recommending Biotech Renewables.

Had a Tesla Powerwall 3 installed by Lee and Brad. Really nice guys, very professional and they did an amazing job. Went above and beyond, HIGHLY recommended!!!

Installed battery (Powerwall with Gateway) and EV charger. Team of 2 worked hard to get it all done on the day (lots to do!) and then spent the time to explain things for a proper handover. All looks neat and tidy and meeting my preference for positioning the battery equipment on walls in the basement. Lovely guys, professional.

Lee from Biotech was simply flawless in his PW3 installation and set-up afterwards. Kept everything clean and tidy. Definitely would recommend this company, and would use them again.

Lee Olley arrived on Monday 13th October we discussed the job and he answered my numerous questions clearly and patiently. He spent Monday fitting the battery and rewiring the EV charger, unfortunately there was a part missing which arrived on Friday the 17th so Lee returned late afternoon to complete the job. The battery fitting and wiring was done very neatly and the battery was set up. I highly recommend Lee and indeed Biotech Renewables.

Richard and the team were excellent as my local Heatables installer, after Octopus Energy claimed that a Tesla PowerWall 3 couldn't be installed in my basement. The team communicated effectively, took pride in their work, and left me with exactly what I wanted at a price that was competitive and had no surprises. Highly recommended! This team clearly cares about doing excellent work and leaving their customers satisfied. We recently had a solar PV and battery system installed and couldn't be happier with the result. Paul came out and spent considerable time on the initial survey, carefully assessing our needs and recommending 21 panels though we reduced to 19 panels to cut costs, he was supportive of our decision and it's proven to be exactly the right call for our situation. Brad and Max delivered exceptional workmanship and were genuinely friendly and professional throughout the entire process. What really impressed us was their willingness to tackle the challenging cable routing through our floorboards and loft into the garage without a single complaint—they simply got on with it and did it properly. Max's commissioning of the battery was invaluable too, taking time to ensure we understood how the system works, particularly the important detail that maintaining at least 15% charge is crucial for full home backup since we got the SigEnergy gateway. As newcomers to solar, we've been delighted to discover we're generating electricity even in October—something that genuinely surprised us! It's already clear we're saving money, and that's been incredibly rewarding to see.

I can highly recommend Max, Matt, Richard and Paul at Biotech Renewables, they installed a Tesla Powerwall 3 and Zappi EV Charger. This was complicated by being one of the first PW3s without a Gateway. The team came through without fuss and worked efficiently and reliably. Now I'm benefiting from running my home on cheap Octopus overnight rates and utilising my solar PV to significantly reduce my electric costs from £3/day to less than £1. Excellent work by a trusted team.

I highly recommend Biotech Renewables. The team did a great job installing 14 panels and a Tesla Powerwall 3 battery over 2 days last week as part of their partnership with Heatable. All very straightforward and minimal intrusion. The system started capturing the sun's energy straightaway and I should be able to start exporting to Octopus in a few weeks time once they install the Smartmeter.

Max from Biotech Renewables completed my Sigen battery only installation today. I was connected to them by buying my system through heatable. Max arrived perfectly on time. He was polite and easy to talk to. We discussed the installation and he completed it accurately and took steps to avoid leaving holes in our wall which was great and we are very pleased with it. Tip regarding sigen install, wait until the install is complete, and the engineer has taken your email. That will generate a link for you to register and that's what you use to login to the app. I started playing around with it a bit early as I was eager. I would certainly recommend Max as an installer and have Biotech do future work at my home. Thanks also to Richard and his brother for the work they did to support the install.

Extremely happy with solar panel installation by Biotech Renewables. I couldn't recommend Paul and his team more highly. On site, Richard headed up the team who worked diligently with minimal intrusion to get 14 panels and battery storage up and running in a week. They gave great advice along the way, explained each decision and consulted where needed. They were very conscious of aesthetics and did their very best to hide external cabling wherever possible. The panels look great, and the system with 24kw battery is already saving me money. Finally: Great aftercare - easily contactable and will go out of their way to answer any questions.

I highly recommend Richard and the team at Biotech. They installed a Powerwall 3 with an expansion pack, a Tesla EV charger, and solar panels on an outbuilding. The install was quite complicated due to the nature of an old cottage but biotech managed it perfectly and bent over backwards to forfill my requirements. The work was completed to a very high standard. Over the course of the installation, I met several members of the team — all of whom were friendly, professional, and a pleasure to deal with. Although there was a delay from the DNO, Biotech Renewables ensured the installation went ahead immediately after approvals came through, without any unnecessary waiting. Post-installation, I noticed a small scratch on one of the panels, and they arranged for a replacement within just 3 days — no hassle, no pushback, just a quick resolution. If you're planning to install solar panels — whether or not you're adding a battery — I highly recommend Biotech Renewables. Their workmanship, customer service, and transparency are truly top-tier.

I can highly recommend Richard and the Biotech team for a professional install of a 12 REA Fusion panel 5.4kW solar system with an Alpha Smile G3 S5 12kWh battery. The very competitive quote came via Heatable.co.uk and included a 7.5% discount for being a Which? member, with the install being done by Biotech. Richard did the initial survey and suggested a single aspect scaffolding arrangement rather than the quoted double aspect, with Heatable obligingly reducing the final bill by £470! The install had to start a day later than planned due to a delivery delay, but Richard was excellent with communications and the install went ahead the next day with the Biotech team being very polite and professional. There were a few glitches following install but they were quickly resolved by Lee and I've had no issues since. The Biotech and Heatable teams seem to have the joint quote-to-install and 100% customer satisfaction processes nailed.

Nothing else to say really, Biotech were brilliant from start to finish. Clear and concise proposals, technical details clearly explained, speedy planning and start date. All panels, battery, cabling, etc. installed in a day with no issues at all. System chugging away ever since superbly. Oh, if only every company worked like this. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

We have just had 20 panels with battery storage installed by Richard and his team. What a breath of fresh air this company is. No pushy sales, great customer service, fair pricing and the installation team could not have been more helpful. Richard has bent over backwards to help us understand the tariffs available post installation. We would recommend Biotech Renewables very highly indeed.

Biotech installed my Tesla PW3, Zappi charger and 25 REA panels in Oct 24. It wasnt the most straightforward install with the electrics coming up in the middle of the house and being one of the first PW3 installs, but I'm very happy with how it all went. Richard and the team were polite, respectful of my house and did a great job with some complex cable runs that resulted in there being zero visual evidence of the install from inside the house. Overall I couldn't recommend these guys more as installers!

I recently had Bio Tech install a 12-panel solar system with a 5kW battery system, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The entire process was seamless and the team at Bio Tech was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. They were able to answer all of my questions and address any concerns I had.
