THEY MADE ME A FAKE ACCOUNT AND SHARED MY INFO
THEY MADE ME A FAKE ACCOUNT EVERYTIME TRIED TO VIEW SOMETHING ON LINKEDIN. WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. SOMEHOW WITH MY PERSONAL INFORMATION. THIS IS A THREAT TO MY SAFETY. AND THERE IS NO WAY TO CONTACT THEM. THIS IS THE 3RD TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED AND THE ONLY WAY TO REMOVE IT IS TO ACTUAL MAKE IT A REAL ACCOUNT AND THEN CLOSE IT. F THEM
Do NOT pay for Linkedin Premium
Do NOT pay for Linkedin Premium - I did and after some failed login attempts I was locked out of my account. Instead of sending me an OTP verification code to either my phone or email they told me I needed to send them a picture of my driver's license (what?). Regardless, I did. However, since my married last name and maiden last name aren't the same and I use my maiden name professionally, they told me they required me to send them a copy of my MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE to get my account unlocked. Are they kidding? They're a third rate social media site for morons who make posts on what the Ukraine war taught them about sales cycles. I just filed a chargeback with my credit card company instead. Barely used it to begin with, and I don't need to use it now.
Falsely flagged for automation while just looking for jobs like every other student
Falsely flagged for automation while LinkedIn drowns in ghost jobs and fake listings LinkedIn flagged my account for "automation detection" despite having zero automation tools installed on my machine. After a full technical investigation, the cause was traced to my university research network IP being blanket-blocked by LinkedIn's blunt and poorly calibrated detection system meaning innocent academics and researchers are being treated like bots. Their customer support is virtually unreachable, forcing users to blindly accept vague terms just to regain access to their own account with zero explanation, zero evidence, and zero accountability. Meanwhile LinkedIn itself is riddled with ghost job postings listings months or years old, fake positions used to harvest CVs, and companies permanently "hiring" with no real intention of filling roles. LinkedIn's platform actively misleads job seekers daily while aggressively policing innocent users. If LinkedIn spent half as much energy cleaning their fraudulent job listings as they do falsely flagging legitimate users, they might actually deserve the monopoly they enjoy on professional networking. Zero stars if I could.
LinkedIn is broken
Looking for a job on Linkedin is so so painful. I have applied to hundred and hundred of jobs only to get rejected with the "we went for a different candidate". Three months later, the same job is there!!! Job hunting on this platform is broken. Some questions they ask when applying has two parts but you have to answer yes or no. If you answer no, then the system will not present you to the recruiter and therefore will lose a job opportunity even though you 100% match that job. I can't wait to retire to CLOSE my account down with Linkedin
A necessary tool
Although the monetisation of the platform is strongly linked to how social media sites operate, the platform is a mandatory tool to include in one's arsenal of modern day networking.
It's a waste of time
I was blocked immediately after registration with no reason.
I received a reply from Linkedin…
I received a reply from Linkedin customer service. Does it sound like an "AI" response!? My issue is still unresolved! They've not even properly investigated the issue. I'm unable to post to my own group as owner & admin! Dear David, thank you for contacting LinkedIn support. My name is Georgina your LinkedIn contact person. I'm glad to assist you. I've just received your request. You would like to post content in a group. If you’re a group member or admin, you can share content in your group’s feed. If your group owner has enabled the post review settings, then the post will only be available after the admin reviews and approves the post. Your post will only be visible in the group’s homepage and not your feed. Group admins have the access to delete group posts at their discretion. Contact your group admin if your post is deleted. If you're creating a post within a LinkedIn group, you cannot tag a company (page) or any member who is not a part of the group. I would also like to inform you that there is a feature that allows group admins to review group posts before they are published. All group admins can approve or deny member posts if this feature is enabled. Group admins can select from three different post review settings for their group: Review all posts Only review posts that meet the criteria No review required Note: The ability to change the setting to Only review posts that meet the criteria is available only on LinkedIn Desktop website. However, group admins can review pending posts from both LinkedIn mobile app and LinkedIn Desktop website. Reviewing pending posts Enabling post review will require admin to approve the posts within 14 days before the post is pending for approval. Disabling this feature will still require approval for any previous pending posts. Group members don’t receive notifications when their posts are rejected by admins. We encourage Group admins to message the members and explain the reason for denying their posts and guide them on submitting relevant posts. I would like to provide you the link to the article Review and approve posts in your LinkedIn group Here is the link: I assume that you know who the group admin is. You could send him a quick message and ask him regarding your post if it is pending approval. We always remain at your disposal for support and consult. Have a nice day! Best regards Georgina LinkedIn Trust and Consumer Support Consultant
Linkedin use withpersona to verify your ID - AVOID
Linkedin now use this co to verify ID's. Unfortunately withpersona's app based process is useless and can't match your face to any official documents. Now can't log into LinkedIn. This is another example of a big corporation shooting itself in the foot thus certainly losing many customers in the process. I mean how can you not lose customers if you can't log in - pretty basic stuff !! I've wasted enough time and effort - I give up
Verified Founder Locked Out for 11 Days Despite Government ID — Zero Resolution
I am the Brand Architect behind Prompt Genius, a verified professional building AI frameworks for legal and corporate clients. On February 20, 2026, I triggered a standard security alert while using a VPN for global market research. I immediately complied with LinkedIn's verification process and provided Government-issued ID (Inam Khan) to confirm my identity. That was 11 days ago. Since then: • My account remains locked • 100+ active B2B leads are inaccessible • Critical business infrastructure is held hostage • Zero human support beyond automated responses • Case number [Case: 260220-008065] remains unresolved Their first response (Feb 20, 21:26) acknowledged the issue and promised to "be in contact as quickly as possible." That was 11 days ago. No resolution. No human follow-up. Only silence. For a platform that markets itself on "trust" and "professional networking," holding a verified founder's business hostage with no human recourse for nearly two weeks is unacceptable. I've now migrated all Prompt Genius operations to independent infrastructure (Gumroad and Carrd). LinkedIn is no longer a reliable home for sovereign brands. If you're a founder building in public, be warned: your professional reputation is a disposable asset here. Service used: Account verification / Support
what an absolute joke of a platform
what an absolute joke of a platform. They locked me out of my account out of nowhere, no email, no warning, nothing. I literally just verified, and their big brain move was to instantly restrict my account right after.
Utterly useless
Utterly useless. Nothing loads anymore. Ban all the AI shite and it might unclog your servers. On that topic, I thought the rip-off fees might pay for some better servers. The other thing is that every second post is either suggested or a promotion! There's only one reason I am connected with the people i am, and that i follow the companies that i do!! Because im interested in them, not all the other BS. There's great potential in the market for anyone looking to start a business platform!
Linkedin has serious security issues
Linkedin is a fraud and a dangerous website. I had an account for over 10 years and it was recently hacked twice, so they asked me to use an authenticator and change my email and passwords. Even with all these in place, they blocked my account without doing anything after the second hacking attempt a month later demanding personal documents potentially available to the hackers. Their security support team is awful, they do not accept incoming emails and reject all security concerns and blame the users. Their reluctance to acknowledge and resolve these issues is a sign that they might be manipulating the accounts, which is an additional risk for any business or professionals. Be very careful with this Company and report them to the cybersecurity authorities without hesitation if you have any security issues.
Horrible
Horrible, Scammed, No support .... I posted a job using my debit card, charged me for 4 days while the job was closed in a few hours since posted, and charged me 50% more than the actual as per fixed budget per day..and here is a creepy part, you cant remove ur debit card from the billing section and support keeps sending Auto responds when you try to reachout... Use this app but never think of using any card or banking with these scammers... Horrible exp..I blocked my card to exit this scam.

Not the Platform It Claims to Be
I’ve stepped away from LinkedIn for a while and locked my profile down as tightly as their settings allow. Despite that, I still get two emails a week telling me I have a new message or a connection request. Every time I log in, there’s nothing there. Not once. Normally I’d shrug it off, but then I saw one of their ads proudly displaying their “currently active users” which, in reality, usually just means someone logged in at some point in the last 28 days. That’s when it clicked: these fake notifications aren’t glitches, they’re engagement bait. And it doesn’t stop there. Even with my profile set to “unviewable,” LinkedIn still claims people are looking at it. How exactly does that work? Either the privacy settings don’t mean what they say, or the platform is manufacturing activity to keep users hooked. If LinkedIn is truly the essential, career‑boosting platform it claims to be, why does it need to rely on inflated stats, phantom views, and misleading emails? The answer is simple: it’s not about helping you network, it’s about keeping numbers high and shareholders happy. And if you’re paying for Premium, you might want to ask yourself what you’re actually getting for your money.
LinkedIn customer service is worthless
My accounts have been hacked and I have been trying for months to resolve the issue or to close the accounts. Instead the company continues to work with the hacker to keep the accounts open, despite my sending documentation to verify my identity. Their continued inactivity is allowing the hacker to continue to perpetrate their scam on the innocent.
Terrible service
I needed to create an account to progress with my application for a training program, and the process was absolutely terrible. CAPTcha loops, issues with google account syncing (have you ever heard of good ol' email and password?). It's not worth it for a service that provides no value to the average job seeker.
Viewed Profiles ARE A LIE!!!
Viewed Profiles ARE A LIE!!! Its COMPLETELY FAKE! So linked send me an emails says about 12 people viewed my profile (and shows me only 3). The it tells me subscribe to FREE TRIAL to see the remaining (when Trial ends there is a massive charge ofcourse). After I accept the trial, I cannot view the 12 people that it tells me they viewed my profile (THERE ARE NO 12 PEOPLE THAT VIEW MY PROFILE!!!) It was only the first 3. IT ONLY TELLS YOU THATS TO SUSBCRIBE!!! Guess WHAT??? I unsubscribed immediately (and it goes like you will lose access to your currrent trial immediately!.. I am like yes sure i dont care). AFTER doing that, IT GOES BACK TO SHOW ME 12 HIDDEN PROFILES that view me and if i want to view them I HAVE TO SUBSCRIBE! I know FOR A FACT its a scam because i barely get any view.. maybe 1 to 3 view a month at best. So when it said 12 only in the last few days or so. I thought thats FISHY! NICE TRY LINKEDIN! NICE TRY!
Absolutely terrible so I’ve been logged…
Absolutely terrible so I’ve been logged out of my account and have been asked to verify my identity which I have done repeatedly now having to with ID which has been well over a week no answer. I was mid conversation with a lot of people and now have no way of contacting them or doing career research absolute rubbish.
