From the initial contact about a survey, to the survey itself (and several, subsequent and very reassuring chats with Graeme) to the day of the install (can’t remember the two installers’ names but they were both friendly and skilful), GRS were fantastic. Our EPC said cavity wall insulation (assumed). Turns out it had none! Bonded bead installed today with a 25 year guarantee and we couldn’t be happier. Has made an instant difference to how our home holds onto heat. Highly recommended!!

Communication and systems need improvement

Communication within the company should be improved among employees. The left hand frequently did not know what the right hand was doing. Information gathering systems were not optimal. We received numerous emails and telephone calls about the same paperwork. There was a lot of unnecessary duplication. Most of all, we were given the wrong information which led to disappointment when the promised improvement could not be carried out.

In January 2025 we were seriously let down by an insulation company based in Wolverhampton. After nearly nine months of constant heartache we finally managed to get our money back. We looked around for a local company and were recommended to use GRS Insulation Limited and we have never looked back. They inspected the loft area and advised us on the work to be carried out. They also advised us to approach the local council for a possible grant which was approved. Since day one the company have always been upfront and most importantly honest. The guys who came out and did the actual insulation, installation of the two air vents and loft entrance and boarded area were excellent. Finally to the team in the administration office who were always at the end of the phone if we had any questions and even paid us a visit on a counter of occasions. Thank you one and all for being such a star team.

Finally found a good company

After a year of disappointment with the cavity insulation industry, I finally found a company that were interested in the customers needs, not thier own. Installers were friendly, knowledgable & very helpful to have a good job completed. Would certainly recommend against other companies I looked at & used.

Good job by GRS insulation

From the initial assessment of the property to completing the required cavity wall and additional loft insulation, GRS staff were exemplary. Everything was explained and good communication between the office and myself was maintained throughout. Installation was completed in good time and the premises were left in a tidy state. The installation team worked hard and efficiently and were polite and communicative on site. I'm very happy with the work that has been done.

From noting my requirements on the Bark website GRS contacted me straight away and organised a visit within 24 hours. I received the quotation the same night. I accepted the quotation to go ahead with cavity wall insulation and removal and replacement of loft insulation. The price was very reasonable. Jason and Ollie arrived as confirmed on the day. Both of them were very hardworking and polite. Even though there were a couple of unforeseen issues with the loft and the job took slightly longer than anticipated the communication from them was great and they kept me updated along the way. Would definitely recommend.

Great lads & did a great job

Great lads & did a great job, although the job was not estimated correctly (no change in price) just more complex than estimated. A few minor damages caused through the difficulty of the job, but nothing that can’t be easily fixed. In all a reasonable cost, a good job completed & a cosy home now.

I had EWI installed off GRS. Gary was the easiest to deal with, and I wish I had Gary from the start. Will was basically a nightmare! If it wasn’t calling someone from India to take the cables off the wall, or turning up to my house with 2 Luton vans full of gear, or just being ridiculous through and through, he was incredibly difficult to deal with, I ended up calling northern power for 3 weeks sorting out what Will should have done. If you get Gary dealing with the work, he’s easy and fair, the relationship ended badly through damage caused, which Gary was fair. It would have been a 0 star rating if not for Gary. It is worth getting EWI, it looks better and has made a slight difference. I’m just disappointed that I had to deal with Will for months, and the quotes at first were silly.

BE AWARE! The first issue I had with GRS was the pricing, their first quote was just insulting, then they miraculously dropped it by a small fortune. That tactic worked in the 1990’s it doesn’t work now. The second issue was the poor level of customer service. There wasn’t any! Sloppy, unresponsive, uninterested. I never got any work done, and I’m glad now, they’re better companies who are reasonably priced and more customer focused. You see companies getting in trouble with the courts for miss selling, or doing sloppy work, GRS seem to me to be on track to be one of them companies, if some old person just accepted their first quote, then GRS would need prosecuting. Shameful.
