The whole installation experience has been great from the people who surveyed to the scaffolders to the technical staff generating the specifications for the solar and batteries. It's our second bite of the Tanjent apple and I must say we have never been disappointed. They have great staff. We are exceedingly happy with our new system.

Very professional right from the start. I was very happy with someone coming to do a survey in person, which other vendors weren't willing to do. Tanjent was recommended to me by one of my neighbours who'd had an installation several years ago. All in all, very pleased with the panels and batteries install, and nice to be a bit greener.

It took me some time to find a supplier for my solar system as I also wanted to replace the roof tiles at the same time. When I found Tanjent they had existing contacts with roofers and would managed the project. Getting quotes from a roofer turned out more complex than expected but the team at Tanjent did a great job in getting the project across the line. I'm very happy with the final result.

We are very happy with our solar installation by Tanjent, which was a few years ago but still working really well. The thing we appreciated the most was that everybody we interacted with were friendly, professional humans who care about their work. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tanjent to friends and family (and indeed I have already done so).

Fantastic service from start to finish, at an excellent price. The design team worked with us to come up with the best system for our property and needs, and with total transparency about pricing -- no hard-sell or high-pressure sales tactics. The installation team did a great job, everything installed tidily, even the little details like vacuuming up after themselves. We're now happily running the house off our own home-grown electrons, and would happily recommend Tanjent to anyone else in the area who wants an installer who will take care of them.

We had two quotes from Tanjent about 18 mths apart and in between the team were very patient with us as we changed our building specs several times. Very happy in the end, now producing lots of exported power. This is a fast moving industry with fast moving technology so make sure you make a detailed list of your personal requirements. Do your research on hardware, supporting software, regulations, where to put the inverter and battery (if you're using one), what you can do for security, find out about insurance, guarantees, system data collection etc etc. Ask the right questions (even the stupid ones) as it's the only way to get the right system installed. We were having a whole house refurbishment so the solar package we went for was a small part of the entire budget (made smaller because we were having scaffold for the new roof which helped mitigate the cost), but I wished I had spent more time on it in more research. That being said Neil, Tanjent's sales team lead, was always more than happy to answer our stupid questions and suggest things along the way. Sadly the supporting apps and websites for our account (outside the control of the installers) are quite poor. We know there are better ones out there, but when it comes down to it you want the right system rather than a data generator. Having spoken to others my feeling is that you should be prepared to be disappointed on data analysis. I'd certainly recommend Tanjent.

I recently had solar panels fitted by Tanjent Energy and the whole experience from start to finish was flawless. They were recommended by a friend of my mum’s, and I’m so glad I went with them. The process was smooth, with great communication from Neil and Jason on the ops team. Everything was clearly explained and coordinated via WhatsApp, calls, and emails. I even ran the pricing by friends who work in the energy sector, and they confirmed it was all very competitive. The installation itself was handled by a team of subcontractors led by Reis. They were incredibly polite, well-spoken, and left everything spotless. The install only took two days, and they set everything up for me. Including the app, which is brilliant. Now I can see exactly how much solar I’m generating, what’s being used, stored, and exported back to the grid. It’s given me real peace of mind knowing my energy is clean and self-sufficient. Honestly, I couldn’t be happier with the setup. Highly recommend Tanjent if you’re thinking about going solar!

I enquired about adding a battery to my existing system. Tanjent were very helpful providing initial advice and following up with an install. The new battery is working well and I am very pleased. I'm happy to recommend Tanjent Energy.

Tanjent provided a great personal service throughout, from the initial conversations on what system would suit us best, right through to installation of the solar panels and battery. And it's now very satisfying seeing how much of our energy is self generated!

There is NO pressure selling. I have a slate roof and although the surveyor sent up a drone, issues weren't apparent until fitters were on the roof to install the panels. It transpired that the whole system had to be reviewed. The reason for only four stars is that there were some snagging/nagging issues in getting the system going properly to which I felt there was a tardy response. However, all the people that I dealt with in the company were always very approachable.

Met the team at the Everything Electric show, told them what I wanted installed (a Victron inverter based system) and they were prepared to listen and design a system around what I asked for. There were some communication hiccups at first (I put this down to them being a busy small team) but these were solved and the system was installed and functional within the time frame they gave me.

Thorough and detailed system design and happy to explore various different options before settling on the eventual solution. Excellent post installation service to resolve a data logging issue and investigate how to retrieve all the data I needed.

Very satisfied with the work-the workmen very good and we are very satisfied with the end result. We look forward to making savings through this installation.

Really good quality outfit. Small but high quality, diligent team. Very impressed with overall experience end to end. We went with a 40 panel array with batteries and the whole process was seamless. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Very nice company to deal with - all the work was coordinated well with helpful staff and completed quickly - our panels, batteries and invertor were installed in September 2023 so we've made some energy over the winter but looking forward to making a lot more in the spring and summer! I would say, that the Solis app is a bit glitchy - sometimes displaying data that can't be true - and it's not clear what some of the data points are - the summary screens are interesting though.

Had Solar and battery system installed back at the start of summer. Tangent we’re very accommodating (helping with the delivery of the panels to our house while we were on holiday). Install went smoothly and after support has been really good ( as we had an issue with a software update on our inverter).

Panels and Battery

Tanjent quoted us initially for a 3.2KW array and a small home battery at the fullycharged show in Farnborough. The process was very easy and not at all pushy, unlike some of their competitors. After a site survey and discussion, we decided to upgrade to the new GivEnergy All in One battery for the increased capacity and greater power delivery offered. Installing a brand-new product inevitably came with some issues, but the team and their installers efficiently resolved these. We're left with a system that provides us more flexibility than we'd anticipated and works perfectly with the existing EV charger. I would have no hesitation in recommending Tangent, they have been easy to deal with and competitively priced. We'll be back when we add more panels in the future!

I spoke to 4 or 5 solar companies…

I spoke to 4 or 5 solar companies before I found Tanjent. All were either pushy, condescending or wedded to their relatively small comfort-zone of products and inverter sizing (normally 3.6kW to get the easy G98 installation). None were as flexible, zero-push or adaptable as Tanjent. We started with one set of products but had to change this as limitations of manufacturer specs/capabilities revealed themselves (i.e. GivEnergy & their claims for full off-grid instant fall-over capabilities - which transpired were significantly limited). Even on initial install date we found we had a rotten roof which Jason from Tanjent took in his stride. It gave us an option to rethink whether we could go for an in-roof vs on-roof system. All products were top quality, ethically manufactured (something Tanjent prides itself on), all came with the fullest extended warranties and superbly installed. They're not the cheapest installers but to my mind they are the best and I wouldn't go anywhere else if I did it again.

Tanjent Energy

Came across Tanjent at the Fully Charged show last year. Friendly and professional. No hard sell. Quoted for a 6.4KW array (20 panels), batteries (5kwh) and EVCP. Installation was delayed a few months owing to demand in sector but was fitted in Feb. Install was neat and professional and system has been working well/as expected. Only slight gripe was that materials were delivered in advance. We had to keep them secure and was asked to check off against the inventory. Having a construction / technical background I was comfortable doing this although not a simple task nor expected. Overall however, very pleased with the job. Communication was good. I would recommend.

Excellent communication throughout the whole process. From scaffold installation to the registration of all works. Installation team completed works within one day. I wholeheartedly recommend Tangent to get the work done.

Very professional company with an indepth knowledge of electrical storage batteries. Always happy to answer questions. We had a battery connected to our existing solar panels. Although it was a little slow arriving because of supply issues, it is working perfectly and communication with the company has always been excellent.

Very professional. I would highly recommend this company. The team who did the installation were excellent and office staff were always very helpful , nothing was too much trouble. Week one, stock arrived and the team arrived to check everything was correct , week two, the scaffolding was erected , week three, installation of the panels and batteries. Job done. From 1st to last a professional approach. The quote was detailed and competitive. ALL questions were addressed and resolved. They bettered their original installation schedule. The installation work was complete and operational in a single day and the installers worked cleanly and left no mess. It’s doing what was promised. We had one minor hiccup as the scaffold came down and this was amicably addressed and resolved with professionalism too. All documentation has been completed and submitted with copies to us without needs for us to chase anything.

Firstly great experience professional throughout keeping us updated from start to finish. Initial survey carried out and with east facing solar and battery system needed everything was explained and making sure system size would best fit my needs. On the day of fitting carried out process without a hitch and got system up and running by the late afternoon. All paperwork arrived following days and system has been running faultlessly since highly recommend.

Professional and friendly with great customer service

We were very happy with the whole team at Tangent. From the start they provided a thorough and friendly service with attention to detail. There were supply issues throughout 2022 which led to a delay in installation, but this was not their fault. However, they kept us informed regularly and still managed to keep the cost to the original quote made earlier in the year. Post-installation, we received a call to check that everything was working well, which indicated their level of service and commitment to the customer. No doubt I will continue to use Tangent if I need further panels or batteries in the future, and have no hesitancy in recommending them to others.

We're very happy with the service we received from Tanjent. Right from the beginning they gave a more friendly, in-depth and personal service than other companies we got quotes from, and this continued throughout. There were some supply chain issues in 2022 which were not their fault, but they kept us up to date and were resourceful in finding alternatives. The install teams went above and beyond to ensure a high quality, and we are very happy with the end result. The system is working flawlessly and makes a big dent in our electricity bills.

Excellent service for solar panels inverters and batteries.

Met Tanjent at fully charged show last year and although it took a year to get the panels that was partly due to building a car port and partly to supply issues. There was always good communication and support from all the staff at Tanjent. The supply of the equipment was good and an issue with the supply of the actual panels was quickly sorted. The installers were excellent and it only took 6 hours to install! After I identified an issue with the hybrid inverter they returned in a couple of days and all sorted. So I would definitely recommend Tanjent.

Succesfully getting into solar power

Tanjent organised the installation of 6kW solar panels and two 2.4 kWh batteries for our domestic energy supply. Despite there being supply problems during the period they were trying to install, so it dragged out a bit, the actual installation went quickly and into operation without a hitch. I like the way we can track what power we are getting from where - and where it is going. I have had to press a bit to get the level of information I'd like about how things work, but they have always been very responsive to my questions
