Best of the Best in the building market

We would not look any where else or recommend anyone else to do any building or improvement works!! Alistair and his team give outstanding service and the highest standards. A small but most caring and professional service at all times. A small company which delivers every time and not just at the time of the build. If they hit problems , they are taken care of no shortcuts or cutting corners . A rare trait to find nowadays. And years later after our build we had an issue , Nothing to do with there build or works but a team was sent out and repaired immediately the next day. Air Conditioning Installation

This is our second Trust Pilot review as we can’t sing The Build Directory’s praises enough! We have had an air conditioning unit fitted by Mark and the electrics done by Dean. From the start, Mark and Dean talked every detail through and ironing out any concerns I may have had. The Team were exceptionally respectful of our home and garden, and on each visit left our home clean and tidy. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Alisdair or his wonderful team. We would recommend The Build Directory to anyone who is considering any home renovations.

Excellent

I couldn't recommend the Build Directory highly enough. We were aware of the work the Build Directory had done as they had already completed several extensions and garage conversions on our estate, and we had been encouraged by the positive reviews, and excellent reputation. We had been wanting to make some improvements to our house for many years, but struggled to settle on what to do. After speaking to Alisdair, we came to a decision that couldn't have worked out better, he never put us under any pressure, and really helped us talk through potential options. Their quote was competitive (we received 2 other quotes for the same type of work), and we were particularly pleased by the fact they were able to match the brick of the existing house. We had an extension built onto our kitchen, which gave us the extra space we wanted for our family, this was an Orangery style building, with bi-folding doors onto a new patio. Everyone we dealt with was extremely professional, friendly, and also very tidy. Building work can be disruptive and messy, but even our neighbours commented how considerate they were on a day to day basis. In what could have been quite a stressful period of time, Alisdair and the team really help to keep things as stress free as possible, largely due to their excellent and regular communication. We couldn't be happier with the work that has been done, I have already recommended the Build Directory to friends and family, and will continue to do so, as the whole process has been as seamless as you could wish for. The build directory were fantastic

The build directory were fantastic. All members of their team were so lovely and professional and considerate with our newborn baby! They did a brilliant and very quick job to get the garage conversion completed! Cannot recommend enough!

Most definitely more than just a building company

We first used Build Directory for an integral garage conversion in November2023 and they did an absolutely fantastic job. They suggested many ideas we hadn’t thought of that made the room feel like it’s always been part of the house not a recent addition. When it came to doing a complete remodel at the back of our house we had no hesitation about using Build Directory again because we knew everyone involved would do everything to the highest standard. Living in a building site for a few months is not easy but they went over and above to make it as good as it could be and my goodness was it worth it once it was done!! The family room they have helped us create is the heart of our home and we wish we had done it years ago. At times we still pinch ourselves that we now have a room that we only dreamed of ever having thanks to the Build Directory team. We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Alisdair and the team.

New ensuite and bedroom.

We had 2 bedrooms which we made into one room with a new en suite room where none had previously existed. From the first visit and design to the final adding of a plug the team has been fabulous. The standard of work and professionalism and friendliness of everyone on the job was amazing. No question too daft. No request unanswered. The communication was great. Quick and we really felt listened to. Can’t recommend then enough. If fact I’m looking around to see what else we can do. A

Dream Bathroom

The Build Directory have just finished renovating my bathroom and it has turned out better than I could have ever imagined. When Mark (Lane) first came and designed the bathroom, he suggested things I would never have even thought of. His vision has been turned into a reality and I am now pinching myself that I have the dream bathroom I've always wanted. From the first consultation and design, Mark has been there every step of the way. Ringing me at the end of the day to make sure everything has gone smoothly and that I was happy - these are the small but really meaningful touches that make the difference. I can't fault any of the gentlemen who helped create my wonderful bathroom, but I must give special mention to Mark, who was just amazing throughout, Kristen who was superb, Dean the tiler who was a joy to have around, John the plasterer an Marc the electrician. I can honestly say that it was a pleasure to have these guys in my house doing the work. Nothing was too much bother for Mark and he was so patient putting up with my many questions and making sure I was happy with everything. Mark went above and beyond to ensure the whole process went smoothly and I'm so grateful. I've had so many compliments on my new bathroom and it's now my favourite room in the house! It's clear what a quality job they have done. Thank you all so much - I honestly can't recommend you more highly.

Installation of Downstairs Toilet

I am very pleased to highly recommend The Build Directory. From the first contact to have a downstairs toilet installed they were extremely helpful in guiding me through all the procedures. Alistair and Mark have been superb throughout. The attention to detail and quality of work from all the staff as the installation progressed was amazing. I have no hesitation in using The Build Directory for future projects

Replacement of 2 flat roofs

Thank you to Thebuilddirectory team for replacing a kitchen flat roof and bedroom bay flat roof. An excellent proffesional quality job completed in a timely manner. The guys on site turned up on time, got on with job, very polite and respectful of the property. A fantastic customer experience and would highly recommend this company and its workforce.

A top quality extension from a top quality team

The Build Directory completely transformed our home with a 2-storey extension, new kitchen and utility, new patio and new boiler. The fact that they do everything really sold it for us. It was a big job so it saved us a lot of hassle. Ali and the team were fantastic from start to finish, very professional, and all very nice people, which is important as they were in our house every day for several weeks. A special mention to Dave and Mike for the high standard of building work. Always tidy with great attention to detail in very challenging weather conditions including seven named storms. The multi-talented Steve did an awesome job installing the new kitchen and utility. He and Mark were always on hand for our many, many requests and questions, and nothing was ever too much for them. These guys have been great from start to finish. Ive just had a garage conversion and a media wall done. The amount of compliments ive already had are crazy. A very professional company

From the first contact, the build directory were very fast to respond. One of Thier professional staff came out to assess the job and it was completed within the following week. The service was very friendly, professional, efficient and carried out to a very high standard, leaving the job clean and tidy. If I could give 6 stars I would!

After having a really negative experience with another building company, we needed a lot rectifying. I’d heard great things about The Build Directory & they lived up to the expectations! From the start, they were quick to communicate, always prompt & reliable with appointments. They listened to what we wanted & gave great suggestions which turned out better than ever expected! I can’t fault this company. We are absolutely over the moon with the outcome of our garden room. We would not use any other company in the future for any renovations or building work. Ali and his team were spot on - we couldn’t have asked for a better job! We had a wall knocked down to make an open plan space downstairs which involved plastering, new lighting, new flooring and new oak beams installed. Everyone has commented on how beautiful it looks and the process was smooth from start to finish. It was also a lot quicker than we thought it would be and were so pleased The Build Directory worked to our timeline for Christmas! It all worked out perfectly, thanks so much ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

OUTSTANDING! in every way possible I live and care for my Mam who is disabled and life dream has always been to have a conservatory, well these guys have made her dream come true & has already started to change her life for the better.
