Air Source Heat pump system

We had an Air source Heat Pump system fitted in October 2025. We have a Victorian semi, but Magna worked with us to find a system that worked for our house and our situation, and also enabled us to use Grant pumps taking on our request to have a more ethical heat pump. The work was carried out really tidily, and the team were really good. Chris Jones commissioned the service for us and worked with us so that we understood how it worked. After 4 months, and some really cold weather, we’re really pleased with it, and would heartily recommend Magna.

Magna renewables were recommended to me by a neighbour and I am pleased I chose to work with them. The process of having my heat pump installed has been efficient and I can’t praise the installation team enough. Jason and Sean worked to ensure the installation came in on time and the quality of their workmanship and the fact that they left the house tidy at the end of the day made the process less intrusive. We had heat source installed & it has been great from start to finish, site surveys were great and always informative, Shaun & Michael who did the installation were amazing can’t recommend them enough an absolute credit to you.

Hit and miss. Some elements including initial communication and explanation were excellent hence choosing Magna for ASHP. The fitting was OK but not having basic tools such as ladders to access the loft, leaving leaks unexplained, not draining or removing the loft water tank, and having to return numerous times to put things right was really disappointing. Communication since installation has been poor. I waited over 6 months to leave a balanced review.

I contacted Magna Renewables for a quote & from day one the contact has been great, but I have to say that the two Air Source engineers Shaun & Michael were outstanding such an amazing team, an absolute credit to your company. Everything was left immaculate and well explained the whole way through.

Given Lewis and Marios five star rating for their exemplary work fitting my air heat pump and tank. They worked non stop, very professional and efficient. Left me with a clean house inside and outside and took away all cardboard, radiators and boiler. Very impressed with their work ethic.

After care abysmal

Edit - Magna finally got in touch with me and completed the work. Could improve their communication with existing bookings but pleased with the work completed and their understanding of our frustration. Installation was great in 2022. But after care has been abysmal. Had a service completed in May 2025 this year and there were things identified for the heat pump. No response since. Have rang emailed and texted them. No response at all. Understand they are busy but need to look after their customers especially when warranty is now likely void if anything serious happens. Can’t even find anyone else to come out to do a service now! Bloody joke.

New Heating system with Magna Renewables

Fatou &Michael from Derby Sean & Michael were with us for one week, installing our Heat Source Pump & radiators. The work ethic shown by both Sean & Michael was brilliant, and they kept my wife & me updated daily on progress and next steps. I would absolutely recommend these two chaps to anyone. Trustworthy & reliable, and a credit to Magna Renewables.

Magnaificent!

From start to finish Magna have been brilliant. Vinnie’s original survey was excellent, sparing any “sales banter”offered by other installers. He’s a qualified professional who knows all the ins and outs of electrical systems. We had a 6kw PV installation along with an EV charger and IBoost. Jon and Alfie worked uncomplaining on one of the hottest days of the year! The installation had to be rejigged slightly from the original design, but didn’t present any problems for the guys. The system is working brilliantly and after 60 days has generated 1.2 Mwh and saved over £325. Anyone considering Solar or heat pumps should definitely contact Magna Renewables

Magna excellent heat pump installation

We were extremely impressed with how the Magna team carried out installation of our heat pump tank and associated pipework. The installation were polite and courteous keeping us fully informed as the work proceeded. All work was completed to the highest standard of workmanship. They left the place tidy each evening and fully cleared away all rubbish and debris on final completion. Excellent job. We would definitely recommend Magna. The heat pump has now been operating for a week or so and we are delighted with performance of our heat pump heating installation.

A mixed experience with Magna. Installation fine, a glitch with the pump itself, but that was a manufacturer's fault and Magna replaced it very quickly. I would commend Chris particularly for his professionalism. But, communications are dreadful. Bobby reads messages, but does not respond. After installation, a skirting board and floorboard were not replaced. These were never fixed by Magna and I had to get a local handyman in. So compared to a friend's experience with another company, which has responded on 4 occasions within a few hours and sent someone to resolve the problem within a few days, I am not impresssed. Cannot recommend Magna Renewables highly enough. Throughout the Air Source Heat Pump project their team were incredibly knowledgeable and professional, they were able to respond to questions and design changes promptly. Installation and commissioning were painless and our place was left spotless. A great team who clearly believe in what they are doing and do a great job.

Firstly, to be clear. I would absolutely recommend Magna Renewables to anyone and would also use them again should I need anything else. I have had Solar Battery and inverter installation. I have had a few small issues along the way but Magna did everything to rectify any issue and I am completely satisfied with the outcomes. The reason I didn't give 5 starts is mostly because of communication, many times I would try to contact and wait 3 to 4 days for each response, this was after the quote but before installation. " seems to me that they are very busy / admin takes a hit" Also there was some damage to tiles that was left by the contractor but as soon as I made Magna aware they got him straight back to resolve. Also when I was quoted it was communicated to me that the cables could run under the ground between my house and garage, when the installer came he said the cables could not be buried, I had to build a small frame for him to mount the cables to, but not a deal breaker. Price was very competitive, installation overall was great, fault resolution was brilliant 👏. admin and coms could be worked on in my opinion. All in all would highly recommend.

Magna team did well

We recently had an air source heat pump fitted in January 2025 by Magna, with some new radiators included. The difference it has made to the property, an old cottage, in terms of heat and comfort is amazing. It feels like a home at last - as soon as we walk in the door now it’s warm and welcoming. The team at Magna, particularly Bobby,’were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, and the guys fitting the equipment and radiators did a good job considering the thickness of the stone walls and how cold it was in the property. They listened to us and offered options, advice and solutions. Everything fitted really well in what is quite a small airing cupboard and there’s barely any sound/noise that it’s working. Overall, we’re really pleased with everything, enjoying some warmth at last and can definitely recommend Magna Renewables.

Magna Renewables

We had an air source heat pump, solar panels and batteries installed by Magna in the summer of 24. From initial survey through to today, we have found Vinny and the team to be professional, courteous and timely with their work. We also found them to be competitively priced when compared to other companies we asked to quote. Our house is warm, cosy and through the winter, the electricity bills are less than our old gas central heating days. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Magna!

After a competitor attempting to derail the great experience i had been having with Magna, i made my decision to proceed with them as they were transparent, focussed on themselves with a let the work do the talking approach, which gave me confidence as they didn't feel the need win work by putting a negative spin on competitors. On to my technical survey, Magna were flexible in agreeing a time to meet again at my property. This is where i met Bobby who is an invaluable asset to Magna Renewables. Bobby is very knowledgeable and passionate about the service they provide. He is very responsive to calls / text messages and has helped me no end in understanding the best ways to get the most out of the ASHP. For a successful ASHP install not only does the system have to be fit for purpose but its extremely important for the user to be educated and onboard with how they should be operated, Bobby was excellent developing my understanding and i am now benefitting from this. The install - Magna managed to somehow squeeze me into their diary at short notice before Christmas (we were looking at a mid jan install date). I was delighted that Vinnie & Bobby were due to carry out our install, they both worked very efficiently to get the install done to a very high standard and were extremely committed to getting the job done. With a slight mix up with the delivery of goods the guys were held up through no fault of their own, however they worked tirelessly into the evening to ensure the job was completed on schedule. After other companies putting a negative spin on the fact i had installed my UFH / radiators myself, i can now confirm that the system is fit for purpose as calculated by Magna Renewables. We have now got a lovely and warm home and the system has kept my family toasty during the recent cold spell of -6. Aftercare - We had 1 very minor issue with he system which was no fault of the installers, I made Bobby aware over the phone, they had an engineer out within a day, problem solved! Also i have several chats with Bobby checking in on us to make sure we are satisfied with the system and usability of it. This is a company that really care about their work and their customers even after job payment & job completion. To conclude, Magna Renewables are an excellent company made up of real people that take ownership of their work, passionate about the move towards a greener future and helping customers take the journey to benefit not just morally but also financially. Had my heat pump installed by a company that had official status. Or so I thought. Before allowing a company to I stall your heat pump check they are official installers. My bills increased ,5 fold and I had to get my manufacturer to rip it out and fit it properly. Cost me an additional £5000. Not by this company but by one of the hundreds who lend plumbers their documentation. The powers that be have been informed but refuse to do anything about it Note that Magna are not one of these rogue companies. If you use another then check it first. No slur on Magna implied as I understand they work to the rules and standards. I actually wrote this on Facebook in a reply to an advert so it looks as though Google has slipped up by including my note in a review. .

Installed mitsubishi EcoDan Air source…

Just had a mitsubishi EcoDan Air source Heat pump fitted by magna Renewables . I found them through the .GOV renewable scheme and I have to say I've found them to be very thorough , professional , informative and helpful . The initial evaluations and assessments were done by Johnathan and Bobby ( I found them both to be polite , and relax with No hard sell just lots of hard facts and what to expect with the installation and the heating system ( I found this to be most informative ) The installation took bit more than 3 days , and the lads doing the installation were very good at their jobs and were very pleasant . Although I won't feel the full benefit of the system by winter I am very impressed with the whole Magna Experience ..... magna pretty much sorted everything out regards paperwork etc ... I just had to pay VERY GOOD INDEED , I would highly recommend this company as for me they were always contactable , very professional and to a high standard .... And made the whole experience and easy one !!!

I have had an Air pump installed within the last 6 months and to say Magna Renewables have look after me is an understatement. The system is a dream and they’ve looked after me who by my own admission is not tech savy at all. They also fixed issues on my existing solar system which had not been running as it should since it was installed 10 years ago by a company that is long out of business.

I had mixed experience installing Heat pump with Magna renewables. I would advise get things in writing if you have been promised something that they will do. There were some delays in response this could be because they are busy at other work but as a end customer I would prefer quick turnaround. But to be honest not all is bad there are definitely lots of positives as well. They did understand my situation and accommodated the job early even thought I have been told that they were busy and they have 5 weeks queue. The quote was competitive and best price compared to other providers (I did get a quote from 4 other heat pump companies) Also based on the need and demand for my property they even increased the size of the water tank at the same cost they quoted for smaller size tank. The tank and the heat pump was delivered couple of days before the work started. The job was very neat and professional during the initial install. However, I have to say that they did a mistake of not laying the heat pump on concrete but after reporting they did acknowledged the mistake and corrected which I am happy with. The installation was done but had to wait for electric work to complete which was delayed by couple of weeks. But after few follow ups they did turn up and did complete the installation. Overall its ok and I would recommend Magna renewables in spite of mixed experience (hence 4 star rating otherwise I would have given 5 stars). I hope that I get good customer service aftercare. I have to wait and see for the winter how efficient is the heat pump.

Very efficient service from this company. Because I live in a very old cottage I had concerns that an air source heat pump would not work for me. The patient design guys at Magna Renewables were able to convince me. I am delighted to say that I am more than satisfied with my new source of heating (no more oil). The engineers worked very hard fitting additional pipework and new radiators. Weather conditions in December were constantly wet but they got the heat pump positioned and it was soon connected up by their electricians. All round professionalism from this company. 100% recommend.

ASHP Install

We had a great experience with Magma Renewables who installed our heat pump. The install took about a week and throughout the whole process the engineers kept us informed on progress and checked with us if there were any changes to the work they had planned for the day. The heating was only off for a day during the changeover, which was really quick and they engineers worked a long shift to ensure hot water was ready for the kids bathtime. Highly recommended.

ASHP & Radiator Changes

Magna Renewables did a large job for us fitting a Air Heat Source Pump and changing the majority of our radiators (the ones the builder put in meant we had to run our previous gas boiler at least 65c), and while there were the odd teething problem (you always do on a complex job), they were supportive, solved issues quickly and the system has been flawless for the last 8 months. You get the measure of a company when a problem arise and how they handle it, and they passed with flying colours. Well recommended.

Magna installed a 4kw domestic solar pv system comprising 10 roof panels with an inverter in the loft space. From start to finish they were a great company to work with and I recommend them highly. A standout for me was the hands-on role of Vinnie the owner and CEO who personally dealt with our quote, explained the process and handled any subsequent queries, including prompt responses and call backs. The installation team led by Darren was quick and efficient and very professional throughout. Magna were competitive on price and the installation date was good for us too. We are delighted with the system and have no hesitation in recommending Magna to prospective customers.

The experience with Magna Renewables was excellent from start to finish. Anyone looking at a renewable project should definitely investigate this company. The Experience They were the only company to visit us, to describe what Solar Panels and Air-source Heat Pumps were, how they worked and how it would be different as well as were there would be no change. Other companies tried to do this over email. From the consultation, they provided a quote which was very competitive and then a survey. The survey uncovered that some of our radiators were undersized and again the add on quote was very reasonable. The Installation They were respectful of our property, everything was left as found. The team were excellent, skilled and polite. As you can see by the pictures they are very neat indeed. The Technology We live in an early 90's house, the Solar Panels are producing about 60% of the electricity we need so far, but it has only been a month. The biggest difference is how consistently warm the house is, it's not like a gas boiler where you get to temperature and then it drops quickly. The temperature is constant. Water is hot for showers and washing, we much prefer this to the old gas combi. So in summary, an excellent and ethical company who will tale you on the renewable journey that you can trust.

Solar Panels - Sound Advice and Swift Installation

Having had surveyors and salespeople from other companies try to push as much kit on us as they could list, Magna's advisor visited and took time to understand our home and electricity consumption patterns to give sound advice on the right size and type of installation. The surveying and accounts team were communicative in the run-up to installation meaning we were able to organise scaffolding easily. Magna also uses their own installers and equipment, so there were no unexpected delays arising from availability of people and parts. The installation team took the old-fashioned electricals we have here in their stride and finished the work in the timescale they had indicated beforehand, even staying while we adjusted our Wifi settings to set up the data logging system. They were all polite, courteous, and patient when it came to explaining how things worked and what guidance they needed from us for installation.

Ground Source Heat Pump Installation

We had Magna Renewables install a ground source heat pump in early 2022. They performed well and worked very hard given some challenges, including supply chain disruption, high volume of systems to commission before the RHI deadline of 31 March 2022, and the digger driver breaking his hand before the trenches were complete. Magna Renewables have responded promptly to teething issues including a malfunctioning circuit board. Their commitment and hard work can't be faulted. The only reason this is not a 5 star review is that the reinstatement of the ground was not great, with the trenches still visible nearly a year later, and the instructing of a concrete contractor to make good a trench outside the house was slow.
