DK Hughes installed an air source heat pump solar panels with a battery. We've been really impressed with the service, aftercare and it's been really efficient. Would recommend.

After waiting for almost a year to have Octopus energy handle the works provided by a government insulation grant, I contacted DK Hughes and have had a survey and all the works done within 2 weeks! Excellent communication from the company. The staff that came out to install 2 extractor fans, smart TRVs and loft insulation (all for free) were very fast and tidy.

If like me, you have elderly parents that are stuck in their ways, then they will be of the mindset you don't get anything for nothing. I contacted D K Hughes to see if they could assist getting some loft insulation for my parents. They booked in a survey, arrived on time and really pleasant. 1 week later they had arranged loft insulation, new smart valves for the radiators, two new extractor fans and a Smart heating control system. All staff arrived when they said they would cleaned up after themselves. I cannot rave more about this company. Brilliant job and all funded through a grant. Your only battle will be convincing your parents.

Scammed by this company, had a survey by this company a month ago for an eco 4 grant- even though I qualified they didn’t get back to me, they left a fraudulent form in my loft stating that had carried out the loft insulation. (Which it hadn’t). I’ve called them 4 times and emailed- they say they will get back to me but never do- government should be aware to not engage in contracts with this firm.

This company assessed my property for an ECO4 grant. Initially they were responsive and helpful and the survey was conducted by a very polite guy. After that I heard nothing from them. After chasing, they told me my application was being put on hold for 3 months due to a freeze in funding. I confirmed with the council that the freeze was only for two weeks. When I called back with this information, the true reason they weren’t proceeding was revealed - the job wasn’t profitable enough for them to do. When I asked why they didn’t just say that to start with, they became rude and snarky saying the person I spoke to ‘would get a smack on the bum’ and was ‘a naughty boy’ (amongst other weird and unpleasant comments). I should have paid attention to other negative reviews on here - steer clear of these guys, they are unprofessional and untrustworthy.

D K Hughes Energy Saving Solutions has carried out excellent work on my property, installing cavity wall insulation, a heat pump, solar panels, and radiators. In addition, the company agreed to provide two new valleys to my leaking roof, free of charge, to enable the ECO 4 programme to be undertaken. I cannot praise the company highly enough. The administrative staff have been exemplary, and the work was carried out by polite and tidy workers, who arrived and completed the work in a timely fashion. I would thoroughly recommend this company on every level.

After care was useless. Had a power cut and a it knocked out the programmer, they did not want to know, neither did the maker of the air source pump. D K Hughes then said they could send someone round for £70 per hour at three hours£210. Evidently this rubbish controller had no back up, as in a battery. This is totally poor after care, seeing as the system had only been installed a week.I am a disabled man on a pension with several illnesses. I would not use this company if I was you, not unless you can cry yippe Kye aye while on horseback.

Absolute amateurs and liars. Total waste of time. Requested them to install new cavity wall insulation amd boiler on the government scheme. Surveyor came and reassured me that the application will be submitted in time. Signed some papers and then nothing happened, no contact nothing. When inquired twice a few weeks later was told that I was too late to get paperwork to them... what paperwork?!!! Kept stating that they contacted me several times.. nonsense! Cowboys and seem fraudulent. AVOID!!

I have just had cavity wall insulation through a Government grant. The service was professional and was carried out within two days. The member of staff that carried out the job worked extremely hard, not stopping for breath and I would like to commend him for a job well done. Thank you D K Hughes for carrying out a good job. Gas installation and work done by electrician totally substandard, rude and abusive gas installers. The supervisor of the gas installation is on second warning from his own company. The work from the gas installer caused damage to the kitchen, followed by very negative and unhelpful response from the company. I would like to warn people never to use this company again.

Amazing service, all the lads from cavity wall removal, re-installation, boiler work and tidying up after themselves. Worked efficiently, quickly and fully explained the process throughout. They also managed to speed up the boiler due to issue with current one. Shelly was also fantastic in coordinating the work and updating me. Very satisfied. Thank you again, greatly appreciated.

Our new boiler was installed efficiently and professionally by Tom Hancock and Dale. They arrived promptly and carried out the work with the minimum of disturbance and were extremely polite. Well done to D K Hughes for employing these two young men.

Tom and his team came to fit a new boiler, my heating had not been working correctly for years and whilst we had plenty look at it the issues were never fixed. Toms team worked exceptionally hard, they overcame many obstacles and ensured that when they left all the radiators worked perfectly which they did. They were all extremely polite, well mannered lovely lads and they could not have been more helpful or accommodating. I received a follow up call, but they left a number and made it clear I could call with any problems. They are excellent and I will highly recommend them to anyone and have done. Helpful and knowledgable engineers who will advise you on choosing the correct product and advise whether it would help you save energy. We probably did what everyone does when receiving a Government Grant and assumed that we should insulate everything. This is not always the case and it great to get some professional advice and the installation is perfect.

They carried out a home survey On behalf of a leading energy company who they are contracted by to install central heating systems on the government grant scheme. As soon as they realised the heating system was of a particular type they didn’t want to touch the job even though they would be getting paid in full by the energy company themselves. They also wanted the client to sign a disclaimer basically allowing them to cause damage in the property without any come back to themselves.I have never seen anything like this before with any other trades people. they obviously believe that they can treat customers differently Who are having work done on a government grant.We are now having the work done by other people with more commitment to customer service.

I recently had a new boiler, underfloor and loft insulation installed by DK Hughes. The fitters were exceptional and worked quietly and efficiently. The level of workmanship is brilliant and the lads were professional and polite. My wife and I are very pleased with the service received. Would definitely recommend this company

I contacted DK Hughes only a few weeks ago as my boiler was broke, within 2 days I had my new boiler fitted. During the visit they conducted an assessment to check my property wall insulation they found it was empty. Using their funding I had my cavity insulated for free. It has been a blessing as this winter would have been difficult to keep warm. Thank you so much DK Hughes and staff have been great through all this. A++++++

Disgraceful company run by a bunch of cowboys. **BEWARE - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY **. Engineer didn't turn up for a boiler replacement after waiting a full day. They had taken my money quick enough. After raising with this the "manager", his customer service was to swear at me, tell me he 'cant be bothered' and cancel my job. A blessing in disguise. I'll be raising this to the authorities as this company is ripping vulnerable people off with disabilities.
