Great company

Great company. Would highly recommend. Right from the start Steve designed me a system that was perfect for my house. A few companies who'll remain nameless had given us quotes just so they could get some money in quick. Jorro done all the G99 paperwork for us to get the bigger inverter we required and kept us updated on the process. All correspondence from Steve and Lesley has been quick and professional. The work on the day from the electricians and the guys fitting the panels was to a very high standard. Over the moon with my new system and look forward to lower electricity bills going forward. So pleased we chose Jorro Ltd for our solar panels and air source heat pump system installation. We did have quotes from 3 other companies but knowledge and personal approach gave us confidence in our decision to go with Jorro. Steve is great at keeping in touch, answering endless questions, helping negotiate the grant application and providing advice on best electricity tariffs. All the people involved with the installation were excellent.

SSS Stunning Solar System from Jorro

When planning my install I read everything I could find on Solar and batteries to make sure I was happy with having both installed. I then shopped around selected 6 companies to come and quote me and narrowed these down by removing any that offered only off site google surveys. This took it down to 3 and all were very similar price wise, so it then came down to what timescales were, equipment being suggested and knowledge response to any questions then warranty offered. Steve from Jorro was actually the last to the race and to be honest I nearly didn’t contact them as I had two companies I had settled on. Immediately on meeting Steve it was no nonsense no hard sell no overly technical speak just what do you want from your system where do you want it. I was adamant I needed some on the south face and then on the west. This would allow approx 12/14 panels with 6 S but staggered due to boiler flue. We discussed Eco flow system which no other company had and I said I would look at this later. Steve carried out a full survey then sent over Ariel photos overlayed with his the panels would look and immediately my OCD kicked in as the S looked like a Lego construction ( Steve pointed this out ) so he also sent a different setup which was EW but would allow more panels and calculations suggested would increase the annual yield. To meet the budget I selected 1 battery with the option to increase later at cost price. I did further research on the system and also Jorro and their partner company Ohms Renewables and decided to go with them. Then the nightmare started, DNO should be DNA ( Do Not Ask) they took months to eventually agree to my 6kw inverter 9 kWh array which was very frustrating but absolutely no fault of Steve and the team. I had also at that time decided on two batteries to be installed instead of just one. Eventually install was granted and despite a hiccup on install day with one of the electricians being sick the roofing’s guys worked tirelessly all day in the wet and cold to complete the roof work. A few days later on the Friday, the batteries were installed in the garage and the system connected up and I was shown the Eco flow app and they connected the system to that for me. There was an issue whereby straight after charging the batteries would discharge and I contacted Steve on the Monday morning although any time I have messaged him even late at night or weekend he always responded ( he needs to work on his work life balance). I was told he could see my system and agreed something wasn’t right and that there would be someone out that day. Sure to his word another electrician attended just before 5pm and immediately identified they had a similar issue earlier that week and made a slight adjustment to the wiring and was done in under 1/2 an hour. Once final payment was made I was immediately sent over all the installation documents MCS cert and Hies insurance docs by Lesley in the office and they sent off all required information for my export mpan number. Today I received this and have just sent off for an export tariff which won’t be much this time of year but will help in the summer. All in I cannot praise Steve enough for his knowledge patience and accessibility for answering all my many questions I am over the moon with my install which I think is a very nice neat modern looking system. I have no connection with Jorro and do not receive any discount for my review I just feel that when someone does a great job they deserve recognition.

Excellent Service.

Jorro was recommended to me be a neighbour and I will certainly be passing on that recommendation. They have been excellent from the office staff to the engineer at install, incredibly helpful, friendly and professional throughout. My installer took me through all the functions and helped set up the charger app, ensuring everything worked perfectly before leaving. The office staff assisted every step of the way with information on the chargers and various grants ect. Would highly recommend.

Jorro gave the cheapest quote for our EV charger and the installer was excellent - went the extra mile to make sure everything was routed as discreetly as possible. Thanks Jorro!

GREAT COMMUNICATION AND SWIFT RESPONSE

Called Jorro after being quoted ridiculous prices to do a maintenance repair on the solar system. They had previously installed a battery and additional panels. They were great. So my system slowed down,, and reduced generation to the battery and property. Steven from Jorro was understanding explainative and was able to send a roofer and electrician to check the system. The system seems back online and Steven has followed up to ensure updates, and to monitor the system. HOPRFULLY the work is complete. But I have total confidence Jorro and employees to complete any works maintenance required. I would simply highly recommend them.

He helped us get our PV and battery system set up 2 yrs ago via another company that he previously worked for. We ran into some issues with the system a few months ago and our previousinstaller left us high and dry. Steve reached out to us after I posted for help in a social media group. I think the poor soul ended up at our house 5 times trying to get our GivEnergy system to recognise the battery. Thankfully its all now working and back to saving us a huge amount of money. Its rare to find someone who cares so passionately about helping customers after they have completed a sale. Also met one of Jorro's electricians who was a lovely bloke too! Steve thank you for sorting everything out, being true to your word and linking in with us to make sure things were ok. If (more likely when!) we extend our battery storage I'll be back in touch.

A Top Knowledge Team

We can't thank Steve @Jorro enough ! He's a genuine source of knowledge when it comes to kit and technical requirements and as importantly in relation to utility suppliers and the mirage of tariffs being recommended. We felt abandoned by our installer but Steve stepped in and his ongoing advice and assistance has maximised our battery storage & saved us £100s in monthly utility charges.

JORRO, Quick to respond, analyse and install! Dave Pickles was quick to respond and find a quick install date too! Important when you have just taken delivery of your first electric car. An in person consultation was not necessary for my install as Dave had visited the house previously and so a few photos (directed by Jorro) gave precise locations of what our options were. Re the install, Ricky did a great job! He was really efficient and the Internet was only off for about 6-8 minutes!!! The whole job looks great and charger is now connected to our Octopus account - Thanks again Dave and the whole Jorro team 👍 To add - We have been so impressed that the household has now got two electric cars, would not hesitate in using Jorro in the future for any installations.

We had our Solar Panels & Battery installed by Jorro, we are extremely happy with the installation process and also received excellent back up from Jorro especially Steven McMahon. We would highly recommend Jorro to friends and anybody thinking of installing these products as service was second to none from start to finish.

First class service

If you are considering a solar panel system you really need to speak with Jorro, more specifically their technical sales director Steve McMahon. I am a technophobe and the whole idea of solar and batteries scared me a bit! He took his time to talk me through what would best suit MY needs, not the company’s. I now have 31 solar panels on 3 sides of the property, a Tesla Powerwall 3 alongside an expansion pack! The whole system took only 3 days to install and start to function. The install team were first class! I have to say Steve is still there answering my questions!

Fantastic support from Steven at Jorro. He helped us resolve a long-standing problem with our smart meter in the Borders that had never connected properly. With his guidance, we were able to get through to the right people and within weeks we had a working solution. It’s rare to come across someone who is both knowledgeable and so willing to go the extra mile. Highly recommended for anyone dealing with energy, renewables or smart meter issues.

Jorro went the extra mile

Steven really helped me out, planning a rooftop PV array when I thought I would have to go for a ground mounted system for the size I needed. Also advised me on what batteries I would be needing. There were a few teething issues but Jorro were really responsive and kept returning until the system was working in exactly the way that I wanted. I have reduced my bill from £180 a month to less than £90, that includes heating; hot water and charging 2 EV's

I cannot recommend Jorro highly enough. The service really was 1st class. Steve was helpful and willing to share his knowledge and expertise to help us get the most from our solar system. It is not everyday that you come across a company as good as this.

Going Solar!

Another great job from Jorro! Fitted my EV charger two years ago and today installed 24 Solar Panels and Tesla Powerwall - in one day! Excellent work from the two panel installers and two electricians. Big thanks also to Steve McMahon for guiding us through the process from start to finish - and answering lots of questions! Would highly recommend Jorro!

We had solar panels and battery installation by Jorro this summer (‘25), having previously had an EV charger installed by them in 2021. Steve was responsive, clear and thoughtful about the system being proposed throughout the process. Installation occurred quickly, only a few weeks after we had agreed to go ahead, and any initial glitches sorted within a few days. The solar system is now working brilliantly and I would recommend Jorro highly.

10kW Solar PV and battery installation

Jorro designed and commisioned my 10kW solar PV array with battery and hybrid inverter back in May. The installers were professional and took pride in their work. Not only does the system look great but it has been running faultlessly ever since. Steve McMahon co-ordinated everything, which was a relief, as there was a lot of liaising to be done with the authorities. I highly recommend them if you are needing any work done.

Really disappointed in the after sales service. It is now 10 months since my solar panels were installed and I still do not have the correct information to apply for the Smart Energy Guarantee. Emails and phone calls go unanswered and pre arranged meetings are cancelled. Communication with Jorro is very poor and I would not recommend them. Pre installation they were excellent and promised the world but after sales service leaves much to be desired.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Jorro Ltd for the installation of solar panels for our new self build home in the Highlands, Scotland, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. We were referred to Jorro (and 2 other firms) by our energy supplier (Octopus) when we decided to install solar panels and a battery. Jorro were magnificent throughout. All the way from the first discussions to follow up after the installation was complete we could not be happier. Our main point of contact was Steve McMahon who as Technical Sales Director came to the site visit, outlined our options and made sure we made an informed decision on the system that best suited our needs. Other companies seemed more keen to sell us a system that would be administratively simple for them, but Jorro were very much led by giving us tailored advice (e.g. our house faces East and West so they recommended a large system with panels on both sides of our roof). Steve's attention to detail and knowledge were the difference for us-it was based on his work that we elected to go with Jorro. Approvals for the system came quickly and the date suggested for the installation was exactly 4 weeks after the very first site visit-an awesome response! The whole installation was done in a day and the large team of installers worked tirelessly and ensured that we understood what was going on throughout. I would have no hesitation in recommending Jorro and will definitely use them again in future for anything to do with energy needs (heat pump next, likely!)

We had a hassle free Solar, EV charging and battery installation in 2022. All communication pre and post sale has been good and any issues resolved without fuss. Engineer that recently visited to replace a faulty RCD unit was particularly helpful.

An absolutely first class service! Our battery storage system was fitted in a day with the minimum disruption and mess. Nothing was any problem for them, everyone was friendly, helpful and professional.

The team at Jorro have been incredibly helpful with the installation of our electric car charging point. From the initial enquiry, to applying for grants and undertaking the installation itself, they have been patient and understanding with us as customers, and we are delighted with the results. We have the charger that best suits our needs, installed where we wanted it to give us full flexibility in the future. Update: We've got Jorro back in again doing solar and domestic battery installation this time. Dealt with Jorro through Mazda. Pre-installation mostly done through NewMotion. However, arranging the installation was easy, and the team that came to work at the house were excellent. On time, friendly, work very tidy and smart. Really impressed with the company

***Update to last review*** AVOID, AVOID,AVOID, After months of waiting I never did receive my charger. I have gave up now, this company is a complete joke as is the Director David Pickles. He will promise you that he will get things sorted but it will never happen. The company is terrible at replying to any emails (there will be many) and you will have to harass them for an response. I strongly advise you to avoid using this company as there is a high chance you will be severely let down. If their installers are anything like the office staff/ managers I would want them near my house. Please take my advice, save yourself a headache and avoid this company. Check out the other reviews of their bad service. The good reviews I would suggest you treat with suspicion. A very unhappy customer. Previous review Ordered the installation of a Zappi charging unit from them a couple of weeks ago and have been told today that they do not even have a delivery dates of these units. No mention of this on their website and no mention of it on the numerous emails back and forth. I really do think they are trying to mislead me regarding this installation and they cannot at the moment give me a confirmed installation date. This is a complete waste of my time and I really am not happy about the service I am receiving. Please note, if you do intend to proceed with an order from this company be prepared to personally carry out a full survey of the installation route. This is only to save them there time and I do not think this is reflected in the price. I feel my time has been wasted by this company and unless a miracle happens within the next few days I will be taking this further. Mr A Bennett

Having just had an unsatisfactory contact with a different company, my experience with Jorro has been a complete contrast. Their responses to communications have been rapid and efficient, the office staff always friendly and helpful (especially with the paperwork), and the charger installers proved to be very resourceful and competent. The charger was installed promptly and is working well.Thank you, Jorro!

From start to finish n the installation process the people from Jorro were excellent. The communication from the office was prompt and always professional. The installation was done on time and the guys who installed were great. We got one of the first of the new Roloc smart chargers and can honestly say we are delighted with it. Jorro were also great when it came to applying for the available grant's and made sure the whole process was seamless.

Jorro’s service was really great from start to finish. I initially contacted them long before moving house to get advice and they were happy to install the chargepoint exactly how I wanted (not just where was easiest!). They sorted out paperwork for both my grants and the electricians who came to do the work did a good job. I’d definitely use them again when I get another chargepoint.

I really regret using them. They were friendly and helpful, and gave a competitive quote but that all stopped after the installation. After initial promises they communicated less and less. They do not answer emails or the phone. Even after 6 months of trying - as well as getting the Energy Saving Trust involved - they still won't talk to me.
