Absolutely dreadful. The quality of work is comical. The communication is basic lies, they just do whatever they feel like. Best to avoid if possible. I'm guessing any positive reviews are done by themselves or their mates.
The most useless company ever to exist. They failed to fix leaking pipes in the veranda area and now its leaking more and made worse - they couldn't care less. They drilled a hole on the flatroof within the veranda and now the flatroof keeps leaking and never leaked previously.. They are now sending out another useless plumber this week to reprice for this repair - that they were meant to have repaired in the first place... Don't worry city building we will persist and not put up with your BS and lies. They dont listen or take the homeowners seriously - they only listen to their bosses at city building (Sean) that dont know what they're doing and their inspector is the worst of them all.

After waiting 4 weeks for City Building to come and clean the communal gutters, they were booked by Lowther to come today. They did not come and they did not even phone to apologise.

I had an emergency repair and after waiting 2 hours they sent an amateur who was completely incapable of solving anything. Now Iâm waiting again for another team, but they canât even tell me when or who will come. Meanwhile, my bathroom is full of sewage and I have no idea what to do next. Completely useless and unprofessional service.
City building shouid be ashamed of themselves i got new kitchen months ago and they didn't even level the floor of its sinking at one side.its a mess.also they moved radiators and couldn't even put my carpets back down neatly there's gaps between skirting all around another shoddy mess.they couldn't even put a few screws in door without that looking just awful.im having to put right all there mistakes its the lack of professionalism that gets me the videos of the terrible secondary double glazing will be going up next

I would just like to say a massive thank you to City Building in Glasgow for the fantastic service I received from them and their engineer today. My boiler broke this afternoon leaving me with no hot water or heating (not that I needed the heating today) I phoned them at 15.15pm to report this and a really nice guy told me someone would be out today and they would be here asap. At 15.21pm the engineer called me to say heâd be here in about half an hour. He arrived at 16.05pm.i explained what the problem was and he proceeded to get to work. As soon as he had located the fault, he got the new part from his van, fitted it, checked it, drained the boiler, re-filled the boiler, checked the pressure and had it all up and running. He was done and dusted heading out the door at 16.41pm. The entire process took less than an hour and a half. WHAT A BRILLIANT SERVICE from start to finish. I didnât get the young lads name but he was a wee star âïž. Very professional and polite. I canât fault this company in any way and that includes the guy that took my initial phone call to the young lady I phoned to find out where I could leave a review. Thank you ALL at City Building I appreciate your help today and I am more than happy with the treatment I received. It was second to none. What a great company and first class staff.
Not even worth one star! I have reported a leak of rainwater on the roof and it is destroying my ceiling on Jan, but have waited for 2 months for an repair appointment and finally when it comes to that day it started to rain lightly and no one showed up as they postponed again for a slot on the end of May which is again 2 months period from now! It makes sense if it rained then the repair can delay a few days, but not to queue up for repair again - IT IS NOT FAIR FOR PEOPLE WHO ALREADY QUEUED MONTHS AGO!
This company is amazing the 2 gentleman that came out to help my fiance Clinton Reader were so hard workers .There names are Robert ingles and Andy McLaughlin they were both trying to fix my Fiance boiler 's for 2 hours at a time this boiler is called a Navien and is from Korea they both studied this boiler for hours the first man Robert decided it had to be passed over to his boss Andy to get this boiler fixed they both went through every single part of the boiler with a fine tooth comb.in the end The head plumber/electrician Andy who eventually got the boiler fixed then he spotted a serious fault with the carbonmonoxide monitor and said this was very dangerous and stayed even longer to fix this which I am very appreciative of ,thank you both so much guys for your professional attitude and for finally fixing my boiler .so my fiance did not need to sit in the cold. Both cars are parked ignorantly, but the city building van not only made it worse , they have also ended up completely blocking the only access route around the building , they have also blocked a fire exit door and parked on a double yellow line that clearly stats â No parking emergency vehicles onlyâ

have been left with no heating and hot water for days after they disconnected boiler on 04/02/2025 and did not return to fit new boiler and now they are saying there will be no one out until next week
Waited in the house all day to get a gas check between 1pm and 2pm but nobody turned up then when I phoned at 4pm I was told someone came to my house at 14.25 and was unable to access the building as there was no answer at the buzzer. First of all, nobody pressed my buzzer so that's obviously a lie and the guy on the phone told me he wasn't calling me a liar but that was what was on file, quite rude! I even went and checked to see if my buzzer was not working by pressing it myself and it works just fine. My buzzer is loud so I would definitely hear if someone pressed it. Really unhappy about this and to be honest I don't even think anyone bothered showing up at all.
Had issues with my boiler and Thomas came found the fault, returned the next day with electrians Sean and another, the issues were fixed and all working perfect, these boys are what every company needs, 100% dedicated đđ
Called at 2.30 today, 61 yes old and housebound, my boiler was reading pressure was low, explained the above, was referred as emergency as I had no heat nor hot water, now after 8 hours I am still waiting for problem 2 be sorted. Absolutely a disgrace.
Electrician Mr Hay came out this evening and refused to do any work..... had to call out my own private electrician because he refused to isolate the issue in my property. The fact that I told him I had a 5 year old and 6 year old In the property didn't bother him and I told him to leave. He wasn't customer friendly and was arrogant in my own property. He shouldn't be in the role as an electrician serving customers... He left my property endangering the life's of 2 Adults and 2 young children.... this guy shouldn't be allowed to work for City Building and should be in Jail for not actioning an Emergency incident...
Awful. Took days to come out when our roof leaked horrendously last year. Roof a mess since 2008 which was due to their negligence. Spoiled both myself and my husbandâs lives as a flat sale fell through and we lost a lovely flat we were due to move into ad a result. This was down to the roof and repairs needed. Words really canât even describe how disgustingly incompetent this company is and the lack of care they show is unbelievable. Nobody with a moral backbone should even apply here.
Joe the Joiner and Bobby his apprentice are a great asset to City Building. They have done quite a bit of work in my flat in Finnieston in recent weeks. They have both been brilliant. They are so pleasant to engage with, as well as being very professional and keen to do the best job possible. I've also spoken a number of times to a call-handler at the contact centre called Ben, who has been very helpful in terms of getting appointment issues sorted out. Well done, guys. You are appreciated.
I recently had a shower fitted with these guys all seemed fine, i looked down at my floor ware there was a new shower hose and shower head, i asked about it and was told it was a spare???? Good i said he left and on closer inspection he hadnt even bothered too put the new fitments on too the new shower and hadnt even changed the pipe that holds them all on, im taking this further, my new fitments were still in the box and on my floor he couldnt get out fast enough, phone was ringing all the time for another job in whiteinch rotten service
Totally work shy! 3 times they've meant to come out to sort my water pressure, 1st time I never got any appointment, 2nd time they claimed they couldn't get into the property and said they put a card through the door which they didn't and the 3rd time they called me on a withheld number which I missed but was in the house, they claimed there was no access again. Never bothered buzzing me or even trying me again on the phone yet they cancelled, never encountered a mob of workers so scared of doing work.
Worst repair company ever. Phoned them up in the morning to get someone out because the bottom stair toilet wasn't flushing and the handle came loose on the upstairs toilet. Sat in all day and the they done a no show which i wasn't happy with as i wasted a day because of them. They finally came out the next day and sorted both of the toilets but three days down the line the bottom stair toilet started leaking so phoned them up again but the phone kept ringing out as no one was answering it. This mob is a complete joke as they are known for doing no shows, always doing a half arsed job of repairs, leave your house a complete state when finished a repair, have zero respect for your home considering when they had to fix the upstairs toilet yet again last year they managed to take some of the paint work off the bathroom wall, rude as hell and they are most famous for saying "I'll need to come back the next day because i haven't got the parts for it.". They are cowboys with the can't be arsed attitude.
Not even worth one star. These guys "improved" my bathroom on behalf of Cube Housing and I can honestly say they are the worst tradespeople ever. After they installed my new bathroom suite they not only left the toilet leaking (emergency plumber had to be called) but left a very attractive hole going though into my hallway (pic attached). On "completion" they have- 1.Not grouted in the corner tiles. 2. Not sealed the bath. 3.Left a cable dangling from the ceiling- which was then painted! 4.cut several tiles too small but put them up anyway. 5. Skimmed the radiator and tiles while painting. 6. Cut the bathroom shelf too short but installed in anyway. 7. Left the room a mess with plaster and grout over the tiles and floor. 8. Put up many of the tiles up unevenly leaving ridges and large gaps. 9. Not returned my keys as promised giving them access to my home!! Please look at the attached pics before making a decision to use this company. Looks like I will be paying for Cubes bad mistake myself. No one at City Building will speak to me regarding this and I've had zero communication from them. Very angry and upset.
