The same can be said with a Hot Water tank upgrade. Switching to energy suppliers (Octopus) that can pay you back for the energy going back into the grid is also a little win. If you have a smart meter it's a great feeling going days on end seeing that it's not costing you any energy, even when big usage like a washing machine or electric vehicle charge has been done at the right times.
