Gechnology installation

Having used Gechnology previously, I recently had a replacement inverter installed along with a SolarEdge car charger, smart solar PV hot water and battery. Whilst there were delays in obtaining a replacement inverter due to logistic issues at SolarEdge, Luke and Armando were regularly in touch to keep me posted on what was happening. They have done very good job, and clearly take pride in their work. I would highly recommend Gechnology for all Solar installation work.

We used Gechnology following a recommendation and are pleased we did. 3 months in, the installation is working as planned and the aftercare (even on Christmas Eve) has been faultless. Information provided upfront was thorough and well explained. You get what you pay for.

Luke and his team have been a pleasure to work with every step of my solar installation journey. From advising on the appropriate size installation, to removing and recycling old panels which were faulty to installing the new panels, the team have been fantastic. Armando took me through the various battery and inverter options and explained everything simply. I went for a Solar Edge inverter, Tesla battery, electric car charger as well as 16 solar panels. The team were incredibly patient as the construction project ran over schedule which meant there was a delay for Gechnology. Using Whatsapp we all kept in contact for 3-4 months and during this time Luke and the team were on hand to answer any questions. It made the whole process so much easier. When the team finally could get on site they completed the job ahead of the allocated time period and did such a good job other contractors onsite commented how great they were. The system is generating as expected and I am now energy positive. Luke and the team also set me up on the Solar Edge and Tesla apps and I can monitor my generation which is great fun and so useful for maximising how I use electricity to charge my car. I would highly recommend Gechnology. Their service is excellent and thoroughly derserving of 5*

Great Company, great service

Luke and Armando attended my property to repair my solar system that had failed due to poor workmanship carried out by another company. The weather on the day they attended was awful, heavy rain and gusty wind. They worked all day without a break. Pleased to say that system is now functioning as it should. Two very polite, conscientious and knowledgeable young men who I cannot thank enough. Would most certainly recommend them. Will definitely use Gechnology again should the need arise. Must not forget Sue in the office who was so efficient and caring.

I had spent time looking into solar and had also received advice via a consultant that one of the best solutions on the market was SolarEdge. I made an enquiry via the SolarEdge website and received a reply from the Gechnology team. It has been a great experience. I ask a "lot" of questions, I'm interested in it all, and they have alway been happy to offer assistance and advice. We have a setup that includes solar panels and a smart water heater at the moment and will be using their services again for an EV charger and battery storage in the future. Gechnology have been superb. A great company to work with at any stage of your solar journey.

What a team!

Where to start? At the beginning? I first experienced Gechnology when I saw them installing some extra solar panels and a battery at a neighbour’s house. I was immediately impressed with the friendly and seemingly efficient way they went about the job. When they were nearing the end of the installation, I asked Armando if they would be prepared to help similarly. He said they wouldn’t be able to do anything for a few weeks, but promised to visit us to discuss needs and possible solutions after a holiday that he had booked. Armando visited, explained the possibilities, and answered questions fully but without techie jargon. He duly came up with a detailed plan of work and equipment in a few days, and after a few weeks Luke and Armando returned to carry out the work. I cannot over-emphasize how impressed we have been throughout the process. They are well-organized, straightforward, friendly, and really efficient in all that they do. Any questions I had were answered promptly and completely. They installed for us four new solar PV panels to complement our existing ones and connected all the panels to two new Tesla Powerwall batteries. The result is truly stunning. Even when the weather is cold and cloudy, we can now run our house, including an air source heat pump, from the batteries alone. The batteries are charged by the sun when there is some. Any shortfall from the sun is made good by charging from the mains at a very cheap price overnight. The system is fully automated, needing no input from us at all. There is also a clever and useful app for the mobile phone that enables us to monitor the battery state, and generally see what’s going on. We enjoyed a huge benefit from our new system recently when there was a power cut in our area. While our neighbours were without electricity for a few hours, we carried on as normal, since the batteries supplied all the power we needed. We would like to say a huge and sincere “Thank you” to Luke and Armando of Gechnology for all they have done for us. We thoroughly recommend them to anyone who is thinking about having any similar work done.

Luke and Armando did a fantastic job, installing panels and battery and helping get the paperwork sorted to allow me to feed back excess energy to the grid. Really happy with the quality of work, the attention to detail and the after sales service. Happy to recommend.

First class service and brilliant results

Trustpilot doesn't allow you to set an experience date that is more than 12 months old, but I have also been in touch with Luke again recently about other work that needs doing to my roof and he responded immediately to my email and has been really helpful.

Picking the best

Excellent system installed by excellent team

Great advice on system that would be best for me and offered a good price. Despite having to wait for Tesla to deliver a Powerwall, they installed the Solaredge system quickly and efficiently with no mess. The whole team was friendly and helpful and I would not hesitate to go back to them should I want to extend my installation

I have had a problem caused by our energy supplier

I have had a problem caused by our energy supplier which resulting in wrong data being sent to the Solaredge App. The energy supplier used a third party company to make changes to the wiring of the Smart Meter and would not accept responsibility. Thanks to Gechnology they had photos of the original wiring and of that after the wiring was changed. Thanks to Luke from Gechnology for his professionalism and thoroughness.

Completely Reliable Company

Have been with Gechnology now for coming on 2-3 years and they have been 100% professional. Reconfigured original panels, put in a new inverter with a Solar Edge battery which has worked perfectly. Luke the director is a top electrician with expert knowledge of the workings of solar power. When I had a small battery problem was solved in goodtime, he can deal with many items remotely so no need for costly visits. Very dependable company and unlikely to follow many in the solar world who just disappear after a short period being in business. Good quality and correct prices!

Great service from start to finish especially from Armando who was amazing throughout. Both Armando and Luke took every effort to make sure I was happy with every single stage of the design and installation. Despite Gechnology being very busy at the moment - because solar is so popular - that didn’t mean that the service I received was affected. Armando stuck to every single deadline. Both of them really believe in the solar edge product - it was a pleasure to have such enthusiasm for the system around during the works. Work area was left immaculate each evening and kept tidy throughout the day. Both guys really considerate in ways of working. There are not many contractors that I am ‘delighted’ to pay - but both the job they did and the way they did the work was fantastic.

Waste of time.

When the sales rep called yesterday for our initial chat/advice and within the first 3 mins repeatedly says “we are not going to be the cheapest”, and then went on to berate the competition my alert was raised. In my experience, any company should be able to promote their own virtues rather than slate the competitors. He then went into full ‘sponsored by solar edge technology’ sales mode, and then gave a £15k-£20k ball park estimate. No in depth questions asked about our budget, our address, location, aonb/conservation area, shading, roof size. The Sales Rep then went on to tell us that all the other companies we’d spoken to won’t be in business in a few years time and when we said that earlier that day we’d had a quote from a neighbours relative’ company who has a similar business; and we wanted to get competitive, alternative quotes …his response was… “ well, I would get it done by them then”…. WOW, just wow…totally unprofessional, childish response. So, strike one… gechnology…are out… don’t waste my time calling if you don’t want the job….first time dealing with this company and definitely the last.

Landlord solar

As an overseas landlord I need to trust the trades that come to my properties. From first contact Luke listened carefully to what my needs were and was able to propose something even more appropriate for me that what I was looking to initially install. Small details matter, like future proofing the installation with a system that is expandable to at EV charging etc. Luke proposed siting the invertor outside, which makes maintenance easy and the bird protection avoids me having to deal with problems later on. Regular updates, photos and does the job on time and on budget. Highly recommend.

Better than lots of installers

I had a domestic PV system installed by the team a couple of years ago. Throughout the process they were very transparent, answered lots of detailed questions, technically savvy and gave me sensible options. Also it wasn't a "hard sell" machine. Really good after care too. Thanks!

Having had endless problems since solar panels were installed on their home and paid out thousands for nothing I contacted Luke for help. Within two weeks all the issues and worries were resolved by Luke and his team absolutely first rate job ...if you feel you've been conned by installers this is the company to go to .

Solar panel saviour

After a poor installation and continued unscrupulous expensive maintenance charges for their solar panels I gave Gechnology a ring to request a survey and review of what had been done. Luke and his team not only completed the checks and provided a detailed report but have now completed all works required to meet the standards required for certification. Service and support have been excellent and I would highly recommend his company to anyone who has had solar panels installed and is unhappy with the result.

Luke from Gechnology responded quickly and positively when I got a pigeon problem. He and Armando were efficient and friendly whilst respecting COVID safe practices on the day. They tidied up after they finished and left everything as it should be. I will recommend this company to anyone with solar panel or thinking of getting some.

I was very impressed with Gechnology from initial meeting to full installation of the PV system and beyond. Luke provided good design advice tailored to our needs, made thorough preparations for the works. The installation went well, the system looks great and performs as expected, and all at a competitive price. Luke was friendly, accommodating, and very knowledgeable and I would certainly use Gechnology again in future.

The original inverter installed in 2010 failed at the beginning of October so I called Gechnology in a relatively local company to get it working again. It was clear that Luke had an expert understanding of the latest solar technology so I went ahead and asked himto uprade the installation as part of the project. As he was working locally at the time he was able to carry out the work very promptly and the system was back running within a week. At this early stage it is clear that the efficiency of the system has increased and any future maintenance issues will be much easier to detect, important in a system that will be running for many more years. I would certainly recommend Gechnology to anyone whose solar panal installation needs attention.

When my inverter for my solar panels broke down, Luke arrived very quickly (with in 24 hours) to test out my system. He was very efficient and also found out that my old installation (2012) had no DC isolator. He gave up his Sunday to install a new inverter and a DC isolator for my 16 solar panels. I am very pleased with his work and everything is now up and running smoothly. Prices are reasonable and I recommend his company Gechnology Ltd.

We were well advised by Gechnology prior to installation. There was no hard sell, just the facts. The install was done quickly and professionally, by the same person who advised on what we could expect from the system. There was some minor snagging, but this was sorted quickly and efficiently. The system we had installed is performing well, in fact better than our expectations. Quite happy to recommend Gechnology to anyone thinking of having solar panels installed.

A Very Good Experience Having found my solar system was not working and previous companies I had paid for maintenance had gone bust! I tried Gechnology and was very reassured when I first phoned them to arrange a visit. Luke came the next day and sorted out the problem quickly and efficiently. Unlike all the cowboys in the market who are only trying to get your money, he told me truthfully what my situation was. I now have every confidence with this company and will continue using them in the future. I fully recommend them.

My inverter on my solar system failed, and I contacted Luke based on reviews. Luke was quick to get back to me, spent time looking at the whole system, and ensuring that I had various options with a range of cost implications. The discussion was professional, and advice honest. Quotes for different options arrived soon after, and there was absolutely no pressure to get the more expensive replacement at all. Luke also identified the many faults in the original installation, pointing out poor and dangerous installation issues (yes, it was during the FIT rush and I was sold by a cowboy outfit!), including exposed wires. The installation was challenging because of issues with my circuit board, and Luke was able to source and install an additional circuit board for the solar system, which stopped it tripping my electrics. The export meter was replaced as the previous one hadn't been installed properly. All this took numerous visits, and much more work than was anticipated. The system is up and running, I have a web-based monitoring system, and the work was done professionally. Everything was left clean, and I was extremely pleased with the work. Luke was an absolute pleasure to talk to, a mine of information, and even helped me with advice about some plumbing issues. I recommend Gechnology Ltd unreservedly.

I cannot recommend Luke too highly. Realising that the original supplier of my PV system had gone out of business I contacted Gechnology and from the beginning Luke was extremely helpful. He re-evaluated the system and we agreed on the update and re-configuration which has been a great success. I like the monitoring and analysis that Gechnology has, so every aspect is covered and Luke didn't stop there. He gave good advice about the management of my energy consumption and I expect to see a decrease in my energy usage and an increase in the FIT payment now that everything is at peak performance. I know I can rely on him if I have any queries and he will deal with them. My experience has been very good I have great confidence in Luke and Gechnology. I plan to use Gechnology again at my new house.

With my five & half year old solar system broken down, and the original supplier gone into receivership, I needed help fast. After talking to several potential firms, it was clear that Gechnology offered the best service. Luke inspected the fault and soon identified that it was the existing inverter that had failed. He also suggested ways of enhancing the existing system using Solar Edge technology. He has provided very good service, turning up when he said he would. He worked very hard, and we have our system up and running again. So far it is too early to assess the output, but it appears to be higher than it was before, and we can track our systems performance very much better than we could before. I highly recommend Luke if you need your system repaired or enhanced.
