If I could give 0 I would. This company has mess me about multiple times. This company has lie about dropping off temporary heating despite the fact I have a 1 year old disabled child with respiratory condition. The whole building is left without heating and hot water.
Multiple appointments raised by Peabody after that, honestly contactor did not attend so I called they still did not attend once again It is not clear the reason why the contractor DNA to do any work the Job that was raised. I did not have a censors what they are asking me to do, to keep callig back .
Cameron was very polite and efficient, with no dilly-dallying. He demonstrated an amazing work ethic and a great attitude. I hope he gets the recognition he deserves. Kelly in customer service is also very polite, patient, efficient and helpful.
Rubbish company, they dont knock the door when you have a gas safety appointment then left you a missing appointment. All is about money , absolutely time wasters they must be removed from from any contracts. I have a CCTV i can proof that the man didn't knock my door at all .
How is this company still running? Ive emailed/called. Been told I will receive a call back about 6 times and still no callback. All for a simple kitchen cabinet to be replaced. What a horrible company.
On December 3rd, a Purdy employee came from Haringey to Avenue Street, Muswell Hill, parks, and waited hidden in an alley until we left the house, to write that we were absent. Unacceptable.
David the supervisor and team who did my disabled wet room were amazing and ensured that it was suitable for the needs of my child. The reception ladies,Charlie, Kelly thanks fir your amazing customer service.
Richard was fantastic. He came several times over the years for differnet jobs and every time he finish , I am happy. I know that the job will be done at the highest standard. He came today, found the fault straight away and dealed with it. I can't praise him enough. Thank you

I had a problem with my underfloor heating, an engineer Richard Thomas attended. Wealth of knowledge, explained to me in detail the issues and fixed my heating. Very happy customer.
We was very happy with the work Purdy has done with replacing my old windows with new double glazing windows. And with replacing my ceiling windows with which I couldn’t open for 25 years until now. We also like to thank Kisha and Michael for their hard work chasing up for the work that had to be done. Thank you
This company's performance as an electrical contractor is frankly unacceptable, and they should be immediately removed from their contract with Peabody HA. We have been experiencing problems with the external communal lighting at our building since 2022. Despite the company having made numerous visits over a period of two years, the issue remains completely unrectified. This failure has created a severe safety hazard: we have been without ANY external lighting for the past three months. An emergency repair was finally scheduled for yesterday to address this critical safety concern, yet no contractor showed up. When I attempted to contact their Customer Service department regarding the missed appointment, the representative I spoke to was extremely rude. This experience demonstrates a complete lack of technical competence, a disregard for tenant safety, and appalling customer service. I strongly advise Peabody HA to find a reliable and professional replacement.

The worst company EVER!!! Booked a gas boiler emergency. Waited up all night and they never showed up, nor did they call to say they weren't coming! Called in the morning and they couldn't have been less interested. Avoid this company at all costs.
Really bad experiences in London. Bad Experiences with Purdy Contracts. Rude employees who came to my address and do nothing, shrugged shoulders and leave. What company would employ grown men who do that ? I believe they don't like Council/Housing Association/Supported Housing Tenants, even though we work and support our families, they come across as prejudiced and do not hide this, they bring these values into peoples homes, again what company would employ grown men to do this ? When you try to call, depending on who answers, you can be met with rudeness and aggression. Its very bad that an organisation can get like this. I have thought about reporting them to OFCOM or Government Uk for their services. If you raise a complaint its held against you and you are bullied by the team. Why work for Councils if you don't like Tenants, and the diversity of customers who live in the homes ?
Whoever is driving LX24 XUW today should be banned from driving. Nearly killed me on my bike, overtaking aggressively and too closely on a blind bend/hill into oncoming traffic.
Disgracefully unprofessional as they were some years ago, supervisors who promise to complete work in a timely fashion then let us down without providing any updates, they Never give Apologies yet display a childish arrogance showing their inflated egos! They have the temerity to show up with foul attitudes unable to take responsibility for their inability to schedule works on time read reports & action it! operatives who boast how good their company is whilst performing shoddy work then ask inappropriate questions to residents how is this professional? No customer services skills from operatives it's embarrassing! Purdy are a complete JOKE steer clear of this failure of a company they need to be struck off with immediate effect!! So many reviews all saying the same thing about this useless company, obviously not lies!
Terrible Service and Lack of Professionalism I am extremely disappointed with the service from Purdy Contractors. They were assigned by the council to fix my heating and water boiler, but their repeated failures and lack of communication have caused me unnecessary stress and discomfort. • They missed the first appointment entirely, leaving me waiting the whole day. • On the second appointment, they left without contacting me because my doorbell wasn’t working, even though I had informed customer service to call me directly. • For the third appointment, they failed to show up again, leaving me to live in a cold flat without heating or hot water during this freezing weather. This issue was urgent, yet they handled it with complete disregard for my well-being. Their service is absolutely unacceptable, and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. Avoid Purdy Contractors if you expect reliability or professionalism!
0STARS! DO NOT GET ANY WORK DONE HERE! They Are A RACIST COMPANY! First of all, Soon as I opened my door The mans First words to me was “Corr Do you Want Me To Cut Your Hair”. (As my hair was out in an Afro) That is a very Old School Sly Racist Comment To make. I got A call From the Company Manager Not even 20 minutes Later, Before I had a word to say he Sincerely Apologised For His Workers Racist Comment! Bare in Mind I Hadn’t mentioned anything about Racism. They then sent another man which I feel they deliberately sent a Black man because of the racial comment from the contractor Before. He was even worst. He has ruined my walls. My kitchen is purple and it is now Stained Blue. He sprayed the product all over the walls. When it was the ceiling that needed spraying. Since I Took the Pictures it has only Set and gotten worse! Ruined my kitchen wall paint completely! Like always. They are quick to Damage your house and are taking Forever to Sort it out. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
Last week, My mother asked Purdy Contracts to help fix the panel heating that they had switched off during the summer. The “engineer” did a rubbish job, he broke the tap in the process making it impossible for her turn off the heat. My mum is over 80 and the “out of hours” operator at Purdy's refused to attend to this despite the fact she is vulnerable based on her age, exposed to excessive heat in the living room plus she has asthma allergies. They refused to provide an ETA for repair or even a reference number for the job. Mum will have to wait until next week and hope for the best, meanwhile she is confined to her bedroom. The worst thing was the engineer tried to cover up his incompetence by hiding the fact he had broken the tap. Somehow, my mother was expected to turn off the tap when the heating panel was extremely hot and tap was broken. Purdy contractors are worse than useless: very unprofessional and have no empathy for the elderly. Barnet Homes can do better than hiring incompetent contractors that are out of their depth and lack any moral compass. I would score Purdy 0 out of 5. I will send a separate complaint to Barnet Homes as this is unacceptable.
