Dore Woodman have been brilliant and were so friendly and helpful throughout.Our rather complex solar/battery/inverter system wasn't working properly and they eventually managed to identify the fault. It turned out to be a meter that hadn't been wired properly - obviously by another company. They invested a lot of time, effort and technical expertise to sort it and we're very grateful.

Used this firm to install heat pump a few years ago. System working without issue and had service visit today. Price was reasonable and Luke who came out was knowledgeable and polite. Even adjusted the heat curve to increase efficiency of the system. So far can't fault the service .

We chose Dore Woodman for our heat pump and underfloor heating installation after speaking with 4 other suppliers. Of everyone we spoke with, the Dore Woodman staff were clearly the most knowledgeable, and the most willing to have a conversation about the specifics of the system we wanted to design, especially as we were interested in design choices to maximise efficiency. During installation and commissioning, the Dore Woodman staff were on time, conscientious about making sure that all their work was done properly, and always willing to be curious and solve problems collaboratively with us and our builders as they came up. We've now been through our first winter with their system, which performed flawlessly, and made for a very comfortable house. If you have a heat pump or underfloor heating need, I can't recommend Dore Woodman strongly enough!

I am so happy we found Dore Woodman. We had a bad start with another installer but Ben, Jason and the whole team have restored our faith! Always responsive and really easy to communicate with, they take such pride in their work and I really feel like they are experts with what they do. We had an ASHP installed and solar and batteries. Their design means that the system is super efficient and their workmanship was incredibly neat. Honestly I am so happy with all that they have done. 100% recommend - our builder was really impressed too.

Eco technology friendly helpful support.

From first encounter, throughout the planning installation and now servicing of our heat pump system the Dore Woodman team have been first class. Our home was not ideal for retrofitting because 2 extensions over time hid some issues and we wanted our solar water system to be integrated with the new heat pump. The wonderful team of experienced professionals nevertheless overcame all obstacles. There is no doubt that heat pumps require a different mindset in order to obtain the best from them and can be a step up in complexity from old gas boilers but the team have been very understanding and supportive. We took out a service contract and the first class friendly engineers have been with us all the way. We can’t recommend them highly enough, old fashioned personal customer service combined with modern technology. Brilliant.

Really lovely people, and a good experience (with a few hiccups that are resolveable)

A heat pump and aircon installation in a house, with lots of existing stuff to work around, existing underfloor with all the unknowns. It’s not been without its challenges, discovering what is and isn’t up to scratch in our home already…. But the key things in any relationship with an installer - great communications, clean, tidy and prompt engineers and a positive, helpful spirit. I recommend Dore Woodman to you.

I cannot fault them

I used Dore Woodman (DW) for a residential solar PV, battery and EV charger installation. I got quotes from a few businesses, DW weren't the cheapest (partly down to the set up they recommended) but I definitely made the right choice with DW. They were exceptional from start to finish, I cannot fault them. The quality of their work is outstanding, the installation team stayed late on a couple of occasions to ensure the work was completed efficiently, but beyond their professionalism they are simply super-decent human beings and it was a pleasure to meet them. I only wish every company treated their customers the way DW do.

Doré Woodman recently installed solar panels and batteries at my home. At all times they were punctual, polite and professional. The site survey was very thorough and it is clear that they are knowledgeable and experienced. They patiently answered all my questions and responded promptly whenever I called or messaged. The work was carried out on schedule and after installing the inverter and batteries in my garage they left it cleaner and tidier than when they started. Thanks guys! The job was not signed off as complete until they were entirely happy that everything was as it should be, and I am very pleased with how it is all working. Another reviewer described her experience with Doré Woodman as “faultless” and I can only echo that. I am happy to thoroughly and wholeheartedly recommend them.

All the staff are a delight to deal with, prompt efficient and friendly. They were clearly on top of the technical requirements for specifying and installing the system and showed great flexibility in accommodating timetable and other changes. First class

Air source heat pump and associated wet system were installed by Dore Woodman in February 2023. Previously our house had been heated by electric storage radiators and water heated via immersion cylinder. Right from the beginning of the process to the fully completed installation, it was a pleasure to deal with this company. Refreshingly, all email and phone enquiries were answered and dealt with within a few hours, unlike other companies that keep you dangling for days. The engineers and installers were first rate, always polite, on time, tidy, friendly and professional. Even though it was a complicated installation necessitating the clearing of rooms and lifting of floors, we were never left without a tidy, warm and comfortable place to relax each evening. I’ve left reviewing the installation for 3 months just in case there were any niggles that came up after the process, but I’m pleased to say that there aren’t any! We are very pleased with our new heating system and would urge others to contact Dore Woodman for a first rate service.

7 bedroom AIR Source heat Installation

Our Journey with Dorewoodman from start to finish has been faultless. Jason / Ben / Alison and his WHOLE team made the whole installation fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. Customer experience pre delivery and after was amazing. All the team when on site were all knowledgeable, investigated thoroughly and left completing all tasks required. No mess, always attentive to detail and professional. We now have a amazing house with constant hot water, a warm house and no gas bill. They further assisted with all RHI queries and completed documentation to allow me to claim the Gov incentives. I we moved into a village which has no mains gas supply and the options to heat your house are electricity, lpg or oil. The house we purchased had oil and it never sat well with me; despite it being stored in a modern plastic tank, I would catch the smell and hated having the anxiety surrounding price and worse, running out in the middle of winter when snow hit and tankers couldn't get through (2018 anyone?) but worse than all of this, just the environmental impact of burning oil. Keen to move to a more sustainable fuel source and reduce our CO2 output I began to look at alternatives. Air source and ground source heat pumps seemed to be the way forward and after several different quotes and companies visiting, DW came over and we met Jason who was as enthusiastic about heat pumps and the environment as we were and more, he took the time to explain what would work for the house and what would not. The house is quite large and so we landed on The aroTHERM plus air-to-water heat pump 12kWwhich is a big unit but does the job. The installation took just under a week, we didn't have to change our radiators, we upsized one and added a second into the lounge but that was it. Old oil decommissioned and a shiny new system was installed with some of the tidiest pipework I've ever seen (shame it has to he lagged it looked like art) and i am pleased to say, two winters in and no we haven't died of frostbite. The system did fail, but that was down to a manufacturing defect and Jason and the crew were all over it until it was fixed. So why so long to write a review - well where the oil tank used to be, there is now a greenhouse that is currently growing bedding plants and a few veggies, only it's taken a bit of time to get designed and built. Where there used to be an environmental hazard, now there is life. Is a heat pump the answer to your needs? No idea, sorry; it was for me and it ticked all the right ethical reasons for installing one. Is DW the best in the business? Again, I can't answer but I can say from my experience that you would be hard-pressed to find another company that will tell you through a system reset when you've got no hot water at 2200 in the evening or first thing in the morning. Jason and the team are great, they've embraced the desire to change the way we use heat and want to help you save your planet.

From initial consultation to design and implementation I have been hugely impressed by Dore Woodman. Great clear communication, good advice, great clean, tidy, efficient and polite workmen. Nothing is too much hassle, and the post implementation support is top notch. I highly recommend them.

Heat pump service

Dore Woodman have just carried out the first service on our heat pump which was supplied and serviced by another company. They also moved the buffer tank at the same time. Both operatives were friendly and left the house tidy. I fully intend using them for future servicing.

Jason and his team did a great job replacing our gas boiler with an air source heat pump. The install needed quite a lot of work, so there was some unavoidable disruption but they did everything to keep it to a minimum. When I had follow up questions or there were minor snags to fix, they responded super quickly. The system is now running very well. I'd definitely recommend them.

They were really helpful with the initial process of applying for RHI and green home grant. The engineers were friendly and polite and did a great job on the install. Since then there have been a couple of issues come up with the equipment, but they've been very quick to respond and get them sorted.

Dore Woodman - professional and honest.

Dore Woodman were extremely honest with the potential of the Heat Pump and what the costs were likely to be. The installation was done promptly and to the highest levels of professionalism - my existing system was discovered to be not up to the demands of the new equipment when the floorboards came up and DW upgraded this for me FoC. No mess was left and the system was installed and running within the week. We now have oodles of hot water, a warm house and no gas bill. The running costs have been much lower than we expected and DW completed all of MCS and RHI paper to enable me to claim the incentives. 6 months later they came back to fine tune the system before the coldest months.

Complete Home Renovation Project

Doré Woodman were involved in all the plumbing and heating for our house renovation As with any large project our house renovation was a complete renewing of all the plumbing , underfloor heating and general heating for the existing property and the new extension I cannot recommend this company highly enough to anyone out there as the technicians who were working alongside us were completely supportive and so knowledgeable.
