We used the cosyhomes scheme to get solar panels on our home and the guys doing the work were very good - incredibly respectful of my home, and communicated well what they were doing and how to use the app at the end as well, told me when they would be arriving and were able to answer any questions we had
Took up Aran on the grant they offered , workmen perfect great bunch , but Aran as a company made a complaint as weren’t happy , Not one member of Aran staff have contacted us to resolve the issue 14 day ago 27th January 2026 , my mum is 84 years old and they have totally ignored us as a customer .
Applied through energy supplier in March 2024 for the GBIS scheme as would be eligible for cavity wall at a minimum. Initial survey by Octopus was completed (included drilling holes in external walls). Octopus then passed down to Aran Group in June 2024. Since then there has been endless calls and emails to them and eventually got a secondary survey done in September 2025! Further holes drilled into walls as well as window surveys revealed that all works including cavity wall installation would be applicable under the GBIS scheme! No further communication sent despite following up weekly! Eventually got told that it had gone to a Retrofit Department In November 2025 and that we should Here within a week when things will be going ahead. We heard nothing and then chased it again in January 2026! At this point the government website states that all work have to be completed by March 2026, otherwise it will not be eligible under the scheme. Today we got told that due to this deadline the works will not be claimed for and they can no longer proceed, but if you wanted to, we could pay for it. What an absolute joke! I’m so angry at this! To string us along for nearly 2 years, have survey surveys done, pointless drilling into my property! What a total waste of everybody’s time! Thing is, the scheme doesn’t finish for another six weeks and they have already said that they can’t/wont do it, and to look out for other council run schemes in the future (absolute cheek, they have had 21 months to get their act together) Their resolutions coordinator (Jess) has been the only light in this dreadful situation. Avoid this company at all costs. Heed the warnings from other negative reviews on here, in particular to communication. I have worked in customer service for 17 years in the past, and this is without a doubt, the worst company I’ve had the misfortune to deal with!
Aran insulation were working in my street insulating council houses. I did ask for a quote to insulate my house four times, but they never responded. Then they splashed my windows with plaster whilst working on the house next door, I am still waiting for an invoice to be paid for getting the plaster washed off. (3 months later). They never respond and are very impolite.
Clearly only interested in big jobs staff never do as they promise after my survey i was told they would phone me back as my cavity was full so they was going to arrange a report stating it was full and not compatible with thermobead or possibly a new epc depending on there team but never happened so I chased someone in the office who said they would sort to receive nothing a week later so I chased again and no reply wouldn't waste my time again
I applied to the Council's Cosy Home scheme for free loft insulation and cavity wall insulation and was accepted. Aran were brilliant throughout the whole process. It took a couple of months to get booked in after the survey was performed (as expected), and the first guy came out to do my loft insulation. He was a lovely chap and explained everything. They fully insulated it to an excellent standard, and also added new beams and 10m2 of loft boarding, in addition to vents for ventilation in the roof. I also had a guy come out to do some DPC work beside my house (lowering the floor level for drainage) and he was also very friendly and did an excellent job. Finally, when the guys came out to do my cavity wall insulation, again everything was explained thoroughly. They encountered an issue of my neighbours insulation breaching onto my side, but despite this, brought an extraction team around the next morning to remove it and finished off filling the new cavity insulation. They also filled the holes up with mortar afterwards, and the job was left very clean and tidy. Scaffolding was also set up for free under the grant by a third party company. I did have a couple of issues with them, but they resolved any issues/complaints I had through Aran. So I would highly recommend Aran based on the service I have received. It also comes with a 20 year guarantee if anything goes wrong.
Juan is a credit to this business. He's polite, enthusiastic, and genuinely lovely to speak to. A real example of both exceptional customer service and simply being a kind person!
Aran Services were at all times polite, courteous and careful to explain everything. They called about appointments, checked that everything was fine. The installers and surveyors were very informative and we couldnt fault their work. We trust their work and can recommend their services.
Not sure what the game is but came to do a survey as I was apparently eligible for cavity wall insulation, all seemed OK and visit was professional enough, but not heard anything since, no emails, text and won't reply to my emails either. I would be wary letting anyone from this company in. UPDATE: After months of silence, suddenly everything happened very quickly. Extractor fan was put into the bathroom and cavity wall insulation went in afterwards. The man who came to install the insulation was very thorough and so far everything seems fine. After that a man came to do a new EPC and he was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Will update again after the winter on the effectiveness of the insulation.
Experience with the surveyor and guys that did the actual job was great. Final work done was also perfect. They cleaned up all mess and we've had no issues with the installation in the year since. Would be 5 stars but due to some confusion between the actual work required and the surveyors report, the work had to be unexpectedly delayed a couple of weeks.
Many thanks to Aran for transforming our home into a warm cosy place we can now enjoy all year round. The workmen came in and worked super quickly and efficiently. The internal wall insulation has made such a difference to heat retention in our home and the end result is amazing we are extremely happy customers.
I had the loft installation in my house topped up around October time last year, and all I can say is thank you. Not only was it free (bonus in the cost of living crisis) but it was done efficiently and quickly. Aran was here when time was specified and done to top standard. I can defiantly say it helped over the winter months, we had to turn our radiator off in the bathroom and bedrooms as the upstairs was so warm. I couldn’t recommend Aran installation enough. Thank you for a pleasant experience.
Parked in front of my driveway and trapped my car Didn't bother to have the decency to ask for permission to park there to work on the adjacent property Also left the vehicle completely unattended while their van mounted pump was running with their tools exposed and ready for the taking Completely unprofessional at best so avoid!
Aran insulation ltd topped up my loft insulation in October 2021. Initially I tried (complete waste of time!!) applying to the government green homes deal to get a grant towards the cost. The government changed the rules of the scheme part way through meaning it would actually cost me MORE money to get a grant than pay direct. It also required Aran insulation ltd to make a second home visit (so wasting their time too) to quote for additional ventilation measures. So I cancelled my green homes deal application and went direct to Aran. They were very flexible when I asked to have the insulation installed in October (I applied originally in May) and they still honoured my original quote. Which turned out to be helpful as prices did go up during that time. On installation day everything went smoothly, the workmen were polite and efficient. The only issue I had subsequently is when I paid online. The initial payment appeared not to go through. So I paid again (luckily this time by credit card). Both payments ended up going through. I was promptly refunded for the extra payment. I recommended Aran insulation ltd to a neighbour on my street when she talked about topping up her loft insulation. She recently (a few months ago) had them complete this work (she was eligible for a grant) and she was really happy with their professionalism.
Had wall insulation done by this company and and the young lad smashed the plastic step to my patio doors, I found it a day after he had left. Very unprofessional.
Booked an appointment 10am to 12 weeks ago for a day that worked for me. Called on the day today at 10.30 to be told the surveyor was running a little late but was in the next village so wouldn’t be long. Despite two further calls and being assured he was 15 mins away in the next village at 12.45, at 1.30pm he hadn’t shown and I cancelled as has timed out. I’ve wasted most of the day and will be going elsewhere. Poor.
Had Craig D come and top up our loft insulation this morning. He was really professional, went through everything that he had done and helped improve the ventilation. Also provided some advice and help with our stench pipe that needs sorting. Top engineer and really appreciate the service 🙏 #aboveandbeyond
I have been waiting since the 21st of December 2022 to have my cavity wall insulation removed and replaced!!! This company are absolutely rubbish! Appointments have been made 3 times, then no one turns up. My partner and I have waited in all day for each appointment made, that’s 6 days and no one has even had the decency to call us and advise us that no one is coming. I am disabled and suffer very badly in the winter with the cold and have just been left by the company to suffer all winter in a very cold house! Shame on you Aaran Insulation.
This isn't one of the most obvious renovations to our 120 year old home, but definitely one of the most important. As you can see the before and after, Hope House had literally NO insulation and @aranholdings came and installed not only window vents but dozens of feet of thick all natural wool insulation!!! What a difference I have already felt. Soon we will have a kitchen vent. More importantly, it was completely free!! My husband looked for months to try and find insulation for our family under the government scheme. Everyone else said no you use oil. Not Aran! Friendly guys who make sure that it's done right the first time and tell you about every step of the process. Thank you SO much!!!
Aran did our loft insulation - we have two adjoining lofts, both quite small and hard to access but they were efficient, professional and tidied up after themselves. Also, they arrived promptly and were polite and friendly. We had the job done using a government green grant and the whole project was arranged smoothly and without a hitch. Would recommend.
